Pornographic Performer and Claimed Adulteress Stormy Daniels Arrested For Lewd Contact with Paying Patrons at Ohio Strip Club

Hoo-er.

The charges have now been dismissed, because the law against strippers touching paying customers (that is, kinda-sorta trading sexual contact for money) only applies to those who "regularly" appear at the venue, not those who parachute in for quick bump-and-rubs like Stormy.

So she committed the lewd contacts for money, but she got off on a technicality.

Well not a technicality, really; it's what the law says.

But it seems like poor draftsmanship. Why would you make an exception for nude performers touching paying customers just because they only show up at your strip club occasionally?

Also, this is the first time anyone has ever been charged under this law.

Here's the Ohio law:

http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2907.40

Note it exempts "family members". So, a stripper's family member can touch her. [This was probably due to someone' objection that OMG we're going to criminalize a stripper's husband touching her!]

They also arrested two other women, one a stripper and the other a patron. Wonder if they're going to let them go too?

101 Why would you make an exception for nude performers touching paying customers just because they only show up at your strip club occasionally?"

It's almost like the legislators decided to pass a really useless law that wouldn't do much at all, but which was worded in a confusing enough manner that they could tell their voters that they had actually done something. Naw, no way would any politicians ever be that corrupt and cynical.

I'm sure it's more of a matter of how the law was worded, and what was NOT stated in the law.

Voila. You have just created an exception while not specifically stating so anywhere in the law.

Most of them are addicted to a lot of drugs, too. And, from what I understand, despite the (very) large sums of cash they earn every day, never have anything to show for it.

Jewel Shepherd's story of her life is... very awful and sad. Left home in her mid teens because dad was molesting her, got picked up by a trucker on her way to Hollywood, he used her, then dumped her off at a strip club. She had no where to go and no money so she started dancing. Finally got into movies, but despite being really (clearly) smart and funny, only got lousy B-movie tittie roles. Coke head. There is a strip club that opened a couple of years ago just a block south of Safeco Field in Seattle, where the Mariners play. There is a big, new color LED billboard that is announcing that Wednesday is Amateur Night, your baseball ticket stub is good for free admission after the game, and pics of the gals, stuff like that.

Yesterday, they had pictures of good looking young women in graduation caps and gowns, typical stock shots they probably purchased for $50.

The LED flashed stuff like "school over and looking for a career?" "start your career HERE!" and a couple of other similar ones.

I almost drove into a parked car.

We've already reached the point where pretty much everything is allowed as long as neither one is under coercion and it's just because they want to; so what's the difference, morally, if one party chooses to compensate the other?

And it's not an idle or philosophical question, Justice Scalia made reference to this in his dissent to the Lawrence Case, I believe. Years and years ago, I took a girlfriend to a strip club, because she was curious about it. I'm not - I know them and hate them, but whatever.

Hilarity ensued.

They had a guy's section, and I asked her if she wanted me to buy her lapdance, which she did.

So I go over there, find one of these dudes, pay him up and bring him over to her.

Once we got there, BOOM - it was a HS friend of hers and the embarrassment on both of them was abso-bloody-lutely priceless.

271 Isn't this really most of life?

Yeah, now that you mention it.

And it's not an idle or philosophical question, Justice Scalia made reference to this in his dissent to the Lawrence Case, I believe. (outlawing a Texas law against homosexual behavior) Once you accept that the State has no right to limit some sexual behavior, how do you argue that the State has the right to limit any sexual behavior?

I agree, and Scalia was the only person in the court apparently who was considering the long-term significance of their decision in terms of precedent. The legal protections which anyone enjoys are based on a very precarious system of precedents and judicial whim since its been wholly detached from any moral or ethical basis.

The only reason bestiality is illegal, for instance, is that the law says so, not out of any moral basis or concerns. Germany has no such law, literally. Its not illegal there. In some places the law is so sketchy or limited they have to bust people for "abusing animals."

So its illegal to hurt spot but not rape her. Because the law is based on just whatever a lawyer wrote down, rather than absolute, objective moral foundations.

Haven't done the ME in a car yet. So I will defer. I believe PJ O"Rourke wrote a nice piece on it (sighting about taking the time to use common courtesy - such as always turning on your dome light to illuminate the interior of the car when approaching a checkpoint so they saw you were unarmed and didn't open fire on you ).
South America is also like that in many places too. But for real cars doing real dangerous things at fast speed in tight spaces - nothing beats Rome I say. But -again - I could be convinced. Road Trip anyone?

487 Is Strzok OT, or topical enough to squeeze in between the silicone swollen mammarians of Stormy O'Hoora?

As to Strzok, I heard some of the testimony and commentary on the radio while driving around to various appointments today. I heard lots of "Liah!" from Trey Howdy Doodie and senescent rumblings from "Civil Rights Icon (TM)" Lewis, etc but what I didn't hear was:

"OK Mr. Strzok, we can't read your mind about an abstract bias, although men have gone to the gas chamber on circumstantial evidence of criminal intent far weaker than your text messages...

But to stick to the most objective evidence, can you tell this Committee exactly what, objective evidence you have obtained, if any, of Donald Trump 'colluding' with Russians to allow Russia some improper influence on the election? "

Second part: "Do you agree that the leaking of surveillance of the Trump campaign, and unmasking of Donald Trump associates was an abuse of our intelligence and police powers? If so, do you agree that this should be investigated and those responsible prosecuted?"

Was this asked or was it all a big light show?

488 By the way, die Brustwarze, the German word for nipple, literally translates as "breast wart", und ya, it is a real German word.

491 The only strip clubs I go to are the ones in Portland, OR.
I've only been here a week, and I've gotten the impression that Columbus is striving to be a second-rate Portland.

493 I really hope the day after the Nov 18 election, assuming Trump maintains majorities, he fires the useless Hound from Alabama, and then dares the Senate not to confirm a new one.

Sessions has been a plant from early on. I don't know if he was a crook when he first supported Trump in the campaign, but he was certainly taken aside by the Deep State and told to either play dumb as AG, or you will be steamrolled.

And he folded immediately. His actions over the last 18 months can lead to no other conclusion.

Portland, OR? Hahaha. You can't go into a bar there for a beer without getting hit by a tit.

497 My best stripper story: I met a stripper at the bar of the club she worked at, but I bought no dances from her. She took me to another strip club, bought my several VIP dances and shots, took me to her house, handcuffed me to her bed, and paddled the crap out of my bare ass. That was a fun night.

500 So she grabbed a policewoman and forced her to motorboat her. Isn't that sexual assault? Hasn't a woman been sexually assaulted in this scenario? Why isn't the political left up in arms about this? A woman was sexually assaulted by a public figure, and it's being excused for political reasons.

501 I'm trying to think of a reason for how the law works. he best I have been able to do is it prevents amateurs showing up on volunteer night. Imagine a bride-to-be crashing the bachelor party and doing her own dance for her groom.

Probably happened to a lot of the legislators.

Yeah, that's what "women's health issues" are all about, ripping living beings out of their bodies after they made a choice that got them pregnant.

What about the fact that women die more than men from heart attacks, is that high on the agenda?

503 This set up arrest makes me wonder what the whore and her lawyer will do to get back in the news next month.

The $$$ returns on her first 15 minutes of fame must have been really disappointing.

Sad.

504 Home from vacation, tired and ready for bed. Be well all.

Funny we took the dogs w/ us and the cat just loves them when we get home. She loves her doggies. She's the senior pet, but loves her idiot doggies and missed them.
