Also, they will very quickly have to put purchase amount limits on customers (artificially regulate demand) if they haven't already. Otherwise, what's to stop some entrepeneurs from loading up an entire truckload of goods, and paying one penny? And then going down the street and selling them to the competitor?
Demand must always be regulated in some fashion, or else demand becomes infinite. Capitalism uses price signals to regulate demand, because that is the most impartial and judgment free system we have ever devised. All other methods of regulating demand, such as those that are imposed in Communist countries, are much more heavy handed and in the end, much more unfair.

That'll teach me about fucking with shrubbery. I was out doing some whacking when I discovered some wasps had built a nest inside. I got out of the way, luckily, when the first swarmed. I think they went for the clippers first, the source of the disturbance.
But, I couldn't see the nest, so I started poking it with stick around to see when the came out, and from where.
Well, my luck didn't hold and now I've got a big ol' welt right on my belly. I got 'em kilt though. And then right before I came in, some swarmed again in another location. I just came in, 'cause it was nearly dark anyway.

Not really anything new. When you're in a big chain store, look for stickers on things like Tide that say "Thanks for shopping at [this chain]. If you bought this somewhere else, please call xxx-xxx-xxxx." People steal entire carts full of high-demand items like Tide or liquor, then sell it for dimes to, um, "colorful ethnic grocers" who sell it for either a hair under what the chains charge, or bucks more if the locals are less able to travel.

On this day in 1940, the Germans begin the first in a long series of bombing raids against Great Britain. These raids are known as the Battle of Britain, which lasted three and a half months.
After the occupation of France by Germany, Britain knew it was only a matter of time before the Axis power turned its sights across the Channel. And on July 10, 120 German bombers and fighters struck a British shipping convoy in that very Channel, while 70 more bombers attacked dockyard installations in South Wales. Although Britain had far fewer fighters than the Germans 600 to 1,300 it had a few advantages, such as an effective radar system, which made the prospects of a German sneak attack unlikely.
Britain also produced superior quality aircraft. Its Spitfires could turn tighter than Germany's ME109s, enabling it to better elude pursuers; and its Hurricanes could carry 40mm cannon, and would shoot down, with its American Browning machine guns, over 1,500 Luftwaffe aircraft. The German single-engine fighters had a limited flight radius, and its bombers lacked the bomb-load capacity necessary to unleash permanent devastation on their targets. Britain also had the advantage of unified focus, while German infighting caused missteps in timing; they also suffered from poor intelligence.
But in the opening days of battle, Britain was in immediate need of two things: a collective stiff upper lip and aluminum. A plea was made by the government to turn in all available aluminum to the Ministry of Aircraft Production. "We will turn your pots and pans into Spitfires and Hurricanes," the ministry declared. And they did.

The movie Battle of Britain does not hold up that well except for the fact that you still had vintage aircraft and there was no CGI.
But if I remember correctly the Polish squadrons were well featured.

I don't know if it's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. Someone willing to brazenly load up a whole cart with groceries might be seen as a dangerous individual (as opposed to a furtive shoplifter), and might cause serious injuries to any security guard who tried to detain them. So I could see stores telling security not to go after them.
And from what I've been hearing, some Prog urban areas (such as San Francisco) have such an out of control crime problem that they've decided that it's not worth the trouble to deal with "lesser" crimes. Anyone arrested as the result of an investigation into such crimes - even if caught red-handed - is let go.
Of course, such policies ignore the fact that Giuliani basically got New York's crime under control by going aggressively after the "lesser" stuff under the "Broken Windows" theory of crime prevention.

The movie Battle of Britain does not hold up that well except for the fact that you still had vintage aircraft and there was no CGI.

The Adventures of Micro-farad and Milli-amp
One night when his charge was pretty high, Micro-Farad decided to seek out a cute coil to let him discharge. He picked up Milli-Amp and took her for a ride on his Megacycle. They rode across the Wheatstone Bridge, around the sine waves, and stopped in the magnetic field by a flowing current.
Micro-Farad, attracted by Milli-Amp's characteristic curves, soon had her fully charged and excited her resistance to a minimum. He laid her on the ground potential, raised her frequency, and lowered her reluctance.
He pulled out his high voltage probe and inserted it in her socket, connecting them in parallel and began short circuiting her resistance shunt. Fully excited, Milli-Amp mumbled, "OHM-OHM-OHM."
With his tube operating at a maximum and her field vibrating with his current flow, it caused her shunt to overheat, and Micro-Farad was rapidly discharged and drained off every electron.
They fluxed all night trying various connections and sockets until his magnet had a soft core and lost all of its field strength.
Afterwards, Milli-Amp tried self-induction and damaged her solenoids. With his battery fully discharged, Micro-Farad was unable to excite his field, so they spent the rest of the night reversing polarity and blowing each other's fuses.

The question for that one was "Have you ever slept in a place other than a normal bedroom?" or some such.
So, yeah, if you've ever fallen asleep while on a plane, or studying in the library, or on the beach, or grass or a park bench on a nice warm day you've been "homeless" according to those assclowns.
There was a similar one about being "food insecure" that basically counted anyone who's ever been hungry.

Back in the day you got a gig writing for Popular Mechanics by being a guy who was interested the subject and knew something about it, and who could also write.
Nowadays you get the job by having a journalism or writing degree. Subject knowledge not required. The guy writing for Popular Mechanics today might've been writing for GQ last week.
The rot has gone on long enough that all the senior editors are also people with writing degrees. And thus, the Great American Magazine has died.
Fortunately the web offers people who know stuff and can also right an alternative avenue for publication.

I've seen a miniature version of that. Someone didn't tighten the screws properly in one of those twist-lock plugs, and it was carrying 220V. Twisted the plug and a wire bumped into another wire, inside of the plug was instantly coated with a fine copper film. Fortunately I maintained control so I was not covered in a fine yellow or brown film.

Looks like a Yankee Clipper, in Ketch Rig. Even though she shows the cut-away Clipper Bow, she's not flying the dual headsails of a true Clipper Rig.
She's very similar in style to a Skipjack, but that'd be a dual deckhouse ship, with sunken cockpit and more often, a Schooner Rig.
Pro-Tip. Both Ketch and Yawl rigs, don't fly that Mizzen sail so much for extra speed, as for "dialing-out" any weather helm at the tiller or wheel. Makes for much less effort for the helmsman, or fewer volts bled off to the autopilot.
Pro-Tip II. A sloop with a loose-footed Main, can be trimmed to eliminate weather helm, just as well as a ketch or yawl.
But you'll cough up a knot or two of speed in beam-reach conditions.
Loose-footed mains are very popular in the Pacific Tradewinds regions of the globe. Pretty much a "set and forget" rig, in those conditions.
One can but dream.

After Obama's 2nd election I stopped following politics, I had an experience that convinced me the election was rigged, and then there were so many horrible actions by his administration, I kept my head down and prepared for the worst.
President Trump has restored hope that for the moment, the adults are in charge, and I can enjoy these days. Winning feels good.
It doesn't surprise me that it took an outsider to make the kinds of changes that he is making. I think he appreciates the success he has had personally as an American, and wants that opportunity for success to be available to others.

It started out on a submarine and most of it took place in a Japanese POW camp. There was some talk of Coral Sea right at the end, which was totally inaccurate as far as the actual battle was concerned.
There were two scenes that appeared to feature TBD Devastators, which shocked the hell out of me, because apart from that the movie had as much to do with Coral Sea as it did with Austerlitz or Gaugamela.
That's an hour and a half of my life that I'll never get back.
And I'm pretty sure it didn't accurately depict the conditions in a Jap POW camp, either.

You're using the wrong definition for NeverTrump. It was originally used to describe someone who literally said the words: I will never vote for Trump. Usually issued as a threat / warning to the rest of the GOP. Don't give Trump the nomination, because I will not vote for him. Not even if it is Trump vs Hillary, I still will never vote for Trump.
Now, for many of them, it was a bluff. After Trump won the nomination, some ate their words and said they would vote for Trump after all since they couldn't just stand by and watch Hillary become president. Others stubbornly stuck to their pledge and still refused to vote Trump.
But, anyway, NeverTrump is accurately used to describe those who said the words, "I will not vote for Trump." And that was Levin. He said the words and earned the label. To his credit, he later changed his mind and backed down.
Maybe you should contact Levin and tell him about "never". As the old saying goes, "Never say never."

YOURS TRULY DENIED A ROOM ON AIRBNB!
First it was a cake, then it was Sarah Huckabee Sanders getting the boot form a restaurant, now I have been denied a room on AIrBnB because of my politics!
Am I angry? No. Will I sue? No Am I offended? No. Do I think AirBnB should have more regulations in this area? No.
As much as I may be disappointed with having my reservation cancelled by this particular host. I feel that it is his right to do so. There comes a point when we have to allow people to be themselves. I do not want to be the guest in a house or apartment where I am not welcomed for any reason be it race, sexual orientation, religion, or political affiliation. My money simply went to someone else with a more accepting mind of who I am.
This is the price we pay for FREEDOM!

There is no distinction in the 2nd Amendment between so-called military grade and civilian grade weaponry.

And actually barring citizens or making the impediments so onirous that it essentially nullifies access to so-called military weapons is inherently runs afoul of the spirit and intent of the 2nd amendment.
