But the Left uses it situationally, just like their ethics, to protect their religious tenets. I don't think anyone actually followed David Brock, or even David Mamet. There was mild satisfaction, but not much more. A religious or lifestyle figure such as Joel Osteen- or Jordan Peterson- would have better luck. Such people are loath to be political unless their success derived from political identity anyways.

Article seems like she planned it to be a murder/suicide but the victim's girlfriend was able to disarm the woman after she shot her son. She's probably suffering from Alzheimers, you wouldn't think it but it can make the elderly quite violent. I had to arrest an 85+ year old man after he beat his equally elderly wife.

I went to college with a guy whose parents were Pediatricians. He told me that some black man who's child his father had just delivered asked the doctor what was a good name for the child. He said his father said Treponema Pallidum, which is the Syphilis spirochete. He did it as a joke, thinking there is no way anyone would name their kid that. I don't know if the kid is still alive, but there was one black child in Texas whose momma would call out, "Treponema! Treponema! Get yo' ass in heah!"

In that particular case, it's fair to say that Dred Scott was overruled by the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments. (the Reconstruction amendments)

But Stare Decisis is really just a rule of thumb created by courts over the centuries to stop people from bringing the same old cases back to them when they're sick of hearing about them. On important topics, it's "more honored in the breach than in the observance", as Shakespeare put it.

But if the Dems want to agree that Heller is settled law for all time now, then ok, I'm good with that.

Yes, with any dementia of all kinds, they can get quite agitated. It often gets worse at night, "sundowning" they call it.

I noticed this tendency with my father when he first got back after his broken hip. He's okay now, and never got violent, just "testy" and grumpy.

He still has a tendency to get all anxious about going to sleep.

They changed "public use" to "public purpose"meaning anything the gov wants to do is now OK.

You have to think Alzheimer's if an elderly relative or acquaintance is becoming violent.

The 'other' option on the list is way, way, way, far down. It's sad, but some of them go out that way. Once discovered they'll need to be medicated the rest of their lives. Which won't be long, when they're in that area.
