I thought Jimmy Kimmel would win -- well, I would have thought he would win, because he fancies himself a tough guy, until Ted Cruz challenged him, and then Kimmel only grudgingly, timidly accepted the challenge.
Then I figured: Well, if Ted Cruz is challenging him, and I know Ted Cruz to not be an idiot, then I figure Ted Cruz must be better at basketball than I would have guessed. And Jimmy Kimmel suddenly softening his trash talk indicated that Kimmel knew something about his own athletic abilities as well. So Ted Cruz is a little butcher than I had thought. Prior to the game the late night host conceded that he doesn't 'have any moves' and was mostly banking on his defense skills. 'I think this could bring an end to the sport of basketball as we know it. I'm not a basketball player and yet I know deep in my heart I know that I must be able to beat Ted Cruz,' Kimmel said to ABC.Sad! Well... Apparently the game was played badly by both sides, or at least that's the way a leftwing paper writes it up to spread ignominy around to both sides. Still, the game took two hours and they changed the endpoint from first to 15 to first to 11 due to the long length of it.

Not really, actually. I mean about the joking. Cruz is a serious guy who doesn't always take himself seriously. Kimmel is an unserious guy who almost always takes himself seriously. His comedy is agenda driven from the few times I've ever paid attention to him.
Cruz is sharp. Put them against each other in a neutral audience - which is to say "not a bunch of clapping seals" - and Cruz could hold his own.

THAT is almost the only part of the entire report that relates to the real concern: application of the law, accountability, equal justice under law.
There is no plausible series of "reasonable" judgement calls that takes place with the fact pattern known to have occurred in this case and results in no prosecutions, convictions, or plea deals. Obviously.
Otherwise, the entire system of classified information and all laws applying thereto are as dead a letter as the Soviet constitution was when the USSR was still in existence.

Have a friend whose son lost his leg and almost his life in a motorcycle accident caused by a dreamer. Think his liberal mindset got dialed back a bit by that close to home event. Plus, the "dreamer" never said he was any way remorseful for driving drunk.

She should turn the tables and ask them some questions. Like, for example, how are we going to pay for all these new third-world "migrant" families when we're already spending hundred of billions of dollars (that we don't have) each year on the ones already living here?
More than half of the immigrants (both legal and illegal) living in the U.S. are already on some form of welfare. Our federal government is $20 trillion in debt, and many of our state governments have so much debt they'll never be able to repay it (CA, for example, has nearly a trillion). We have hundreds of trillions more in unfunded federal liabilities like SS and Medicare, and a lot of Americans' pension plans are ludicrously underfunded and are never going to be able to pay the amounts they promised to pay. Nearly half of American citizen families currently have less than $400 in savings.
So how many poor "migrants" are too many for us to absorb? Most of these people illegally crossing our southern border are coming here with little education, no job skills, and no English. How are they going to get work in a first-world economy that is rapidly automating? Or are you just content to enslave working and middle class Americans to pay welfare benefits for these "migrant" families for the rest of their lives?
Let's not be a nation of cowards, as Eric Holder accused of us being. Let's have an honest conversation about just how many more millions of the world's poor can come here and live off us. This conversation is long overdue.
