Even if they were liberal, they didn't go around yelling about it, and kept their opinions on those things to themselves. Ginger Rogers was a Repub, for example.

Think back to after the Parkland thing. Lots of insane yet coordinated calls for all kinds of gun bans. Trump got up there and said "hey, send me a bill." We worried that he was going squish on gun control, but turns out he played it just right...Joe Manchin wasn't going to go out on that limb.

I'm thinking the DACA is the same way - let's expose the people who want unfettered illegal amnesty, and at the last minute (if it even gets that far), he pulls the rug out from under them.

In this situation, he's nicely exposed the Left as not giving a damn about what they say they give a damn about. Schumer, who should have known better, led the way on that. And people are noticing.

(And once an adult gets asylum, their spouse and kids get it too).

This bullshit is costing American taxpayers billions of dollars every year, and yet nobody in the media is talking about this explosion of bogus asylum claims got started, and how it is fueling the madness on our southern border, with hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens swarming over the border every month, in hopes of either getting in on the next amnesty, or else working the lucrative asylum scam.

Ever wonder how an illegal alien living in the U.S. has $6,000 in cash to pay a human smuggler to get their kid across the border, while half of U.S. citizen families don't even have $400 in savings for an emergency? Wonder no more. The U.S. taxpayer is funding all these scams, and this shit needs to STOP!

Unlikely. It is a vasodilator. The limited threat from poppers (other than if used with Viagra, etc. or by swallowing) is purportedly eye damage (and that is isoproyl nitrite poppers). Poppers perhaps contributed to AIDS because they may have increase the likelihood of participation in unsafe sex.

My understanding is that they *can* claim asylum at their arraignment for jumping. And that is what the hold up is about. Plus border patrol can only keep a kid for 20 days, this is how the Obama-system (under Trump) has "lost" 1500 kids.

Oh, I hope you do! It's amazing what these peripheral things can do to either hurt you, or help you. From having seen some people close to me go through the wringer in the last few years, I have seen how helpful that sort of thing can be. And for me, too - because when people you love are hurting, you hurt too.

Another thing - when you start to get that panicky feeling (I'm assuming you do, only because I do!) try some deep breathing just to calm yourself down right away. Based on things folks have said here, I looked up 4-7-8 breathing and it really does help bring an immediate sense of calm.

Little things can help, they really can.

Just Proof that Scott Adams really does understand how Trump thinks, and that the two of them operate on the same "arts of persuasion" wavelength.

It is NOT a "non-problem" - it actually is a significant political problem, but it can be defused without giving anything up. Situations like this have to be addressed, trying to ignore them is what is always the killer of political careers. (Like happened to Bush when he chose to ignore the false Katrina criticism, rather then engage) Trump is going to put out a solution, and then he is free to counter attack his critics. Those two actions have to be done in concert with each other.

I think Trump really does care about the kids and the situation the parents put them in. Kids are innocent. I know they are being treated really well, and are eating better, are cleaner than ever and getting medical care, but they will miss their real mothers.

The tough part is figuring out who is really a kid to who.

I personally liked Cruz's bill. He hastened getting them processed and sent back.

I was driving fast. I did not intentionally drive into the seagull, it just happened.

The Jeep immediately filled up with dead bird smell.

It's a terrible bill, as one would expect from the sleazy Ryan. It gives amnesty up front, and to a lot more than just the registered DACA recipients. It also allows the DACA parents to get green cards through chain migration -- the very same parents who brought the DACA kids here illegally.

Remember, the entire justification for DACA was that the illegal aliens brought here as kids should not be punished. But now the adult parents who brought their kids here illegally will not only NOT be punished, they will actually be rewarded for their law-breaking. That, of course, will only encourage more foreigners to cross the border illegally, in the hope that they will eventually be rewarded too. It's the "one time only" 1986 amnesty scam all over again. Only on a bigger scale this time.

The Ryan bill also gives the illegals all the benefits up front, but pushes border enforcement off to some future point. And no e-verify requirement. So basically, it's just another massive sell-out of American citizens and workers and taxpayers, and another big give-away to law-breaking foreigners.

If you haven't done so already, please contact your congressperson and tell him/her/it to vote NO on the sell-out Ryan amnesty bill.

BUT - everyone, especially the left, is forgetting something I keep trying to remind people here about, from time to time. There is a REASON you keep something in reserve, there is a REASON you don't dial the outrage level up to 11 every single hour of every day.

The reason is very simple - when you burn all of your fuel the instant you get it, when you commit everything you got to the "The Cause" the instant you can - when it comes time that you really need to do something extra, you got nothing. It's why marathon runners don't try to sprint until the very end of the race.

Dems are going to get to October - and they're going to find that they've been screeching so loud, they can't screech any louder, and that they have already beat every dead horse so far into the ground that they can't get anything at all out of beating them anymore.

2. Ask them to name and point them out.
3. Then give them both a DNA Test.
4. If it is not a match nail them with child trafficking charges.

In fact I would argue that even if they are parents, or relatives, they are at least endangering their child's life by bringing them to the southern border through Mexico, etc. Nail them with child endangerment charges, which it is by any definition.

Yes - judicial precedent established that even border jumpers can claim amnesty after being caught, and that they are required to be given a court hearing before deportation if they make a claim of amnesty. That's the entire problem here.

Oh, and also the fact that the Obama administration spent 8 years publicizing, in Spanish, and even at times in pamphlets sent to Mexico and other areas, that anyone who crossed the border and claimed asylum for any reason would be able to stay. Thanks, Obama - that's how this situation got so bad.
