The girl is super hot up to the hips and then there's more torso than makes physical sense before we get to the rib cage, boobs, face, and arms and she's hot again.

It's got an almost-Deco feel to it, I'm not sure it's technically beaux arts. I'm going to guess 1890.

35 An arrest has been made in connection to a shooting at a gas station in Northeast Columbia.

Antar Daralhaj, 20, is facing a number of charges including assault and battery of high and aggravated nature. The shooting happened on Saturday at the Obama gas station on Farrow Road.
Daralhaj was an employee at the Obama gas station at the time of the incident. Police say he and a male customer were arguing about an overcharge for a gas purchase.

I applaud what Trump does. I applaud the sensibilities he offends (because they need to be offended). I applaud the applecarts he upends.

I do not worship the man.

Unlike Presdint Peace Prize, I do not ascribe any divinity or saintliness to Trump, or any mystical powers, because he walks the Earth.

Posted by: @votermom @vm pimping great books usually free or sale at June 15, 2018 09:00 AM (hMwEB)

It was a blast to drive. I've barely had to do any repairs on them. I had the master brake cylinder leak on my mazda tribute at 4 years, and that was the only repair on it. it lasted 11 years and 175k miles before I got rid of it.

the mazda 3 lasted 6 years and 186k miles before the flooding got it. only had to change the rear brake disks at 120k - front was still good when it died, I LOVE a stick shift...

not sure if I was lucky or not, but 2 totally different models separated by 11 years seems like a good track record.

Meanwhile every judgment call that they made that Horowitz considers imprudent, is simply "mistakes were made". Gave the suspects counsel immunity? Mistakes were made. Didn't record the interview? Mistakes were made.

191 "Mistakes were made" is true, only in the context of

"we covered up a lot of Hillary crimes, and we made a few mistakes in letting the public find out we were dirty cops"

As noted earlier, the real investigators don't get advanced, it is the lawyers that cover up the tracks (of the cover ups) that get advanced.

Comey ... just a lawyer, never a "Law Man". In a Louis L'Amour book, Comey would be the villain, taken down by the hero with the fast hand and quick thinking. But Comey extols himself as on a mission from gawd (wrong god). No Jimmy, you're just a lying schmuck advancing by humping Hillary's leg.

284 In the class and price range of the Mazda 6, there is also the Honda Accord.

The previous generation Accord, a 2013 example of which sits in the driveway, is frankly a revelation in handling dynamics. I'd put it to the test in a rapidly decreasing radius turn, decelerating from 75 mph to 5 mph in the process.

This turn causes most other cars into the typical front-wheel drive "understeer", or "push", which is a loss of traction at the front wheels....the car will scuff wide of the turn, even with the steering wheel put over to full right lock.

But not the Accord. It's also a 185 hp unit, but the power flows through a Constant Variable Transmission, which I didn't think I'd like, but I do.

I've since learned that Formula One outlawed the CVT... because it worked too well, and gave an "unfair" advantage to the cars that used it.

Though I haven't yet driven one myself, both Car & Driver and Road & Track magazines give rave reviews as to the handling and driveablity of the the new 2018 Accord.

I'd have to drive on in a head-to-head match against a Mazda 6, but it'd be a worthwhile effort.

Both are fine, fun cars. The Honda though, reigns supreme in terms of resale value.

As an aside, it'd be worth looking at a 2018 Camry, too. Seems Toyota has rediscovered the concept of a "driver's car", and is making them with a bit of zing these days, compared to the "dependable, excitement-less mobile appliance" nature of all previous Camrys.

But if you want to go to the sexy end of the spectrum....everything that Alfa is making these days is just smoking hot automotive beautifulness.

And Alfa's wee roadster is nothing less than a Miata with some styling changes and a bit of Alfa engineering thrown into the mix.

Best of both worlds?

I think eventually we will end up with a Special Counsel although I'm not convinced that's a good thing. Sessions even indicated yesterday it's on the table.

The IG report did result in 5 criminal referrals to Huber as well as potentially other criminal investigations but there are limits to what Huber can do. A SC has a lot more flexibility to go beyond just the DOJ to include other agencies and departments.

There seem to be advantages to dealing with judges in Utah (and Arkansas) ... but I'm foggy on what gets brought forward there as opposed to dealing with DC DeepState judges.

Working her upper thighs and buttocks I'd make enough incidental contact with her vulvic area that she'd know it wasn't incidental, but she'd be at a point where she's just given herself over to trust and she's loving it.

When I rolled her over, after carefully paying respect to every inch of her naked oiled body I would massage each labia individually until the snakes ran away.

Definitely would not hit it.

Cons - unaesthetic appearance, Nissan doesn't sell them in the US anymore because not pretty, inexpensive inexpensive interior materials, and did I mention they are ugly

Pros - cheap price b/c no one else wants them, shares parts with the nissan versa, reliable and decent gas mileage, feels big inside due to high roof, good visibility.

This is one of the differences between an IG and a federal prosecutor. IG's can only interrogate employees of the organization they are overseeing.

Trump fired Comey so he hasn't been an employee in over a year. Huber can't do much about Comey. Federal prosecutors aren't bound by those rules. The real question is what is Huber and his team doing and unfortunately or fortunately depending on your point of view he doesn't leak.

The choice is either wait and see if he is doing something and if do what he turns up or just assume he isn't doing anything at all.

If Trump is managing it like a reality show, then we are still building toward the climax, which will be a month before the election. Or maybe phase one climax this October (surprise), then the real arrests happen as we roll into 2020.

I'm not confidant that is happening, but there is a lot of evidence rolling out, more reports to come, and then the follow up prosecutions and another special counsel ... and finally arrests of the coup plotters.

After 80 years of infiltration by enemies of all sorts, it is pretty awesome we are still standing, and they are being exposed. I have some hope. Europe is saying no to their overlords ... tides are changing ...

Had a 73 Mustang that the rear lights would sometimes just go out.

After several weeks of trying to nail it down, I happened to be walking past the rear of the car with the engine running, and the lights on.

Heard a very faint arcing noise, and after spending several minutes, found the hot wire to the license plate bulb was chafed, and would vibrate up against the chrome bumper.

Weeks of hunting down.

I don't know but I do know that on one of the few occasions that Lee addressed the war, he wrote in to criticize a paper who had given Jackson all the credit for the famous flanking march at Chancellorsville, not because he himself sought credit, but because he considered it an insult to Jackson' professionalism to suggest that he would perform such a risky strategy, splitting his forces in the face of a superior enemy, without his superior's sanction.

Apparently, "Oh my God I'm going to be sick to my stomach over the election results, What can we do about it?" and then them opening counter intelligence investigations is not enough??

Both men were good commanders in tat they were smart enough to seize and retain the initiative, especially when they were at a disadvantage in most other categories.

Both were incredibly stupid in not grasping the need of their cause, in that they repeatedly threw away their forces (Lee in the Seven Days battles, Pickett's charge). They needed to maintain a competent defense. They could never afford a war of attrition, to lose at the rate they did.

Remember though, that Lee didn't know exactly where the Federal army was at that time. sheesh ... he really drank the kool-aid, it would seem. and he has some strange family connections, Dad doing work on nuke stuff in Iran or some such. There seem to be many ready to sacrifice everything that makes US America, to achieve their NWO dreams ... a fascist world with forced PC think. They need to read Orwell and understand their dreams are a dystopian nightmare.

Even if a NWO got everyone thinking PC, with harsh punishment and banishment for the free thinkers (which is what PC does now, as seen at colleges especially) ...then what sort of liberty is that?

But for them, it seems all about their own ego ... They Alone are our saviors, which is the allure of most cults. A special class with special insights and secret powers ... so cool. But we are nation states, not comic book special justice league saviors. Much harder to build a society than hide in DC and pull the fascist levers.

427 I know this was brought up earlier, but Ingraham had an interesting panel last night. Retired career FBI field agent. for one.

He said that once an agent gets promoted into management, they end up losing their edge and understanding of how to interrogate individuals. He said it was obvious when he read the IG report as to how interrogations of the IT guy and others, including Hillary were done. He pointed out that all the interviews were conducted by management, people who are not field agents, who conduct interviews every day. And they not only didn't follow protocol, they were completely amateurish.

It was obvious to him that the entire investigation was politically set up to shield Hillary Clinton, which is why no field agents were allowed to interview the principals. They also remarked about the immunity that was immediately granted to numerous principals, which helped to destroy any case building.

A retired agent called into Levin last night and said Wray's plan to conduct training of all the FBI in bias was insulting. He said the agents already KNOW what is right and wrong when they conduct themselves on the job, apparently its only administration that needs the training.

431 @votermom,

CR can be useful info, but as others have said, don't over rely on it.

Find a forum for the vehicles you're looking at, and research there. Sometimes it's a brand forum, sometimes a branch of the brand (e.g. Toyota trucks), and (probably for the more 'performance' oriented models) sometimes a model-specific forum (e.g. Ford Lightning) (These often have sub-forums that are more generalized.)

Lastly, despite a certain reputation here, you might consider Subaru.

There was no reason to believe that an army superior in numbers could be broken by a painfully obvious frontal assault. That could be flanked. And would be opposed by artillery that had proven to be superior to anything the Confederacy could ever field. That was the Unions' first clear advantage. The result proved that. And Longstreet predicted exactly what happened.

If.

By then, even the most deluded person knew that the Union army outnumbered the army of N Virginia. And for both armies, their best days were behind them. There were still massive regiments stationed in DC, units that Grant would successfully roust out the next year.

On July 1st, Lee had no clear notion where his opponent was, and his army was still uniting. The chances of turning that into decisive victory were extremely long.

But they almost did win a war of attrition, tho. If the South had won Getttysburg, that would have been three major Southern victories in a row: Fredricksburg, Chancellorsville and Gettysburg--all against three different commanders. Richmond had a letter ready asking for surrender terms from Washington. Would Lincoln have been forced to accept it? After a Gettysburg victory, would Britain and France been convinced to recognize the Confederacy? Because of slavery, they probably still would have relented. This biography has me thinking about a lot of what-if scenarios.

But then Grant and Sherman in the West are still winning, so... who knows. Interesting topic, tho.

I didn't read it, but yes, someone on the internet did the most devastating review of that book or movie. I laughed a lot, and anyway I'm sure you could write something better. Despite my irritability I think you could. I had a friend who insisted he could write romance novels; He'd just use a feminine nom de plume; I don't know if he ever did. And anyway, people think romance novels are the same thing as bodice rippers. They aren't necessarily. I read Georgette Heyer, They are romances. They is no sex (because she wrote from the 4O's to the 70's I think) and people are clearly attracted to each other. and intelligent I think what differentiates them (aside from not being soft porn) Heyer from people like whats her name-Grey author? is that Heyer is clever and has a lot of humor. I guess if people could write about sex and the humor involved in it I might be more tolerable. I sort of got the impression from reviews that "Grey" books are completely humorless and the characters are sterotypes.

482 Btw, 50 Shades is a crock. I tried to read it because every single woman in America was reading it and I occasionally attempt to understand women.

49 pages to the first sex scene and then it's all just "she shattered into a million pieces". The author uses the shattered metaphor for orgasm about five times and doesn't use any other. At least up to that page, that's where I stopped reading.

I do not understand women any better.

I still don't understand why the South didn't use their superior
holographic and CGI technology to show a mass of Southern soldiers
mooning the Yankees, waving their dicks at them, and farting in their
general direction. Then, while the Northern douches were distracted, the
Confederates could just sneak away and sack Washington. It's a shame
Lee didn't have my strategic ability.

Posted by: Anonymous White Male at June 15, 2018 10:58 AM (9BLnV)

Coming in late here, not sure the context, just was struck by the statement that the Confeds were "winning" the battle of Gettysburg.

It's like the ol' saying, unless you're talking horse shoes or hand grenades, close ain't good enough.

Or, it's like a football game, where you outscore your opponents in three of four quarters. The final score is what matters. And.... as with ALL battles of the eastern front of that war, Lee knew damn well, it really didn't even matter if he won territory. His army was being bled dry, and he couldn't keep trading punches with the North.

The forlorn hope, that the British would save them, it was never really ever more than a fantasy. Realistically, there was never much more than a 0% chance the British were coming. They played the South like a banjo.

496 The irony is that Lee was very good at making his enemy fight on ground that he chose. Gettysburg was one notable time that he did not choose the field, and it did not go well for him.
Posted by: Agent Cooper

This. he also realized that the Union army was growing stronger (forces were still arriving), AND that they were in territory where they were hated AND that the Union army could cut them off from the South.

And the casualties from the first two days were horrific for both sides. But the South could not afford to lose at the same or greater rate than the North. Longstreet knew the actual casualty figures from the first two days, and knew the limitations of Confederate artillery, firing uphill, against fortified positions.
Any of these factors should have ruled out Picketts charge. Lee ignored all of them.

514 One of the things that kept coming up in Jackson's biography was how many times he was underestimated by the enemy. During his Valley Campaign for example, the Federals were poo-pooing the idea that anyone could move an army of that size, that fast, without anyone noticing. And again with the long march at Chancellorsville, Hooker was convinced the massive army he saw in moving the clearings was retreating. By this time, Jackson was a legend who was known for his surprise attacks and foot cavalry. But Hooker was confident.

I know this was brought up earlier, but Ingraham had an interesting panel last night. Retired career FBI field agent. for one.

He said that once an agent gets promoted into management, they end
up losing their edge and understanding of how to interrogate
individuals. He said it was obvious when he read the IG report as to how
interrogations of the IT guy and others, including Hillary were done.
He pointed out that all the interviews were conducted by management,
people who are not field agents, who conduct interviews every day. And
they not only didn't follow protocol, they were completely amateurish.

It was obvious to him that the entire investigation was politically
set up to shield Hillary Clinton, which is why no field agents were
allowed to interview the principals. They also remarked about the
immunity that was immediately granted to numerous principals, which
helped to destroy any case building.

A retired agent called into Levin last night and said Wray's plan to
conduct training of all the FBI in bias was insulting. He said the
agents already KNOW what is right and wrong when they conduct themselves
on the job, apparently its only administration that needs the training.

Not due to any new info entering the picture. Not really even because Dir. Wray's performance at his presser was so jaw-dropping. Not even because Trump - disastrously and inexplicably - remains in rah-rah mode about Wray, per a tweet today.

Just because the absurdity of the IG's findings becomes more spectacular with more reflection.

Massive, systematic, obvious, ipso facto violations of serious laws occurred - nobody even pretends to deny this. Yet, in this vast tableau of criminal mishandling of classified information, violation of public records laws, destruction of evidence, the IG could find nothing irregular or dubious.

Huber could still produce some sanity and justice here. But the cowardice and/or delusion of the IG effort darkens an already dark picture.

July 4, 1863. The last day of the battle at Gettysburg was also the last day the confedacy had any control over Vicksburg, Mississippi. That day, after a 10 day or so siege, about 24,000 confederate troops surrendered.

The Union now had total control of the Mississippi River from start to finish.Union Gunboats could and did for the rest of the war control who crossed that river. The confederacy was cut in two.

Even by quirk of fate had the Lee somehow managed to win at Gettysburg, the days of confederacy were numbered.
