Double-Whammy for Democrats: 1. Household Incomes Hit Highest Level In At Least 50 Years
2. Trump's Getting Credit for It

You tell Curly Bill that I'm comin' and and I'm brinin' cowbell with me!

Look who's increasing wages. Hint: It's not Democrats with their Fight for 15 nonsense.

Growth: A new report shows that the median household income has climbed 3% since President Trump took office. It's another sign of a strong economy, and at least one poll shows the public credits Trump for the good news. Should Democrats wave bye to the Blue Wave?

Median household income has been steadily increasing under Trump, rising from $59,471 in January 2017 to $61,483 last month, according to Sentier Research, which tracks income on a monthly basis using census data.

This also means that household income is now higher than it's been in at least 50 years -- after adjusting for inflation.

...

The latest IBD/TIPP Economic Optimism Index is 53.6. This index has been in positive territory (anything over 50 is optimistic) since Trump took office. The Quality of Life Index, meanwhile, hit a 14-year high in May and the Financial Stress Index is at an all-time low.

Gallup's tracking poll shows that 67% now say it's a good time to find "a quality job in the U.S." which is the highest since Gallup started asking this question 17 years ago. The best this measure ever got under Obama was a paltry 45%.

Crumbs. Just crumbs.

To re-purpose Nina Burleigh's infamous declaration about Clinton, abortion, and blowjobs: If the price of getting the US economy back on track is the hypothetical threat of Trump grabbing all of our pussies (including manpussies), then we should all line up military-inspection-style and put our pussies on parade.

They'd rather have the cheap labor ... and the control over a more needy, less financially independent class.

311 They'd rather have the cheap labor ... and the control over a more needy, less financially independent class."

Exactly, and more importantly, this has ALWAYS been true. I recall reading that one of the reasons the Austro-Hungarian Empire was relatively unprepared for war in 1914, even though they were huge and wealthy, was that for the previous 30 or 40 years they had been doing things like deliberately blocking and discouraging investments in railway lines. They were worried that once their ordinary people started to experience more of the outside world and began to expand their economic horizons, they would become much much harder to control.

So they deliberately kept their economic growth and development to as low a level as possible, allowed just enough for the ruling class to personally benefit from what they could skim off the top. As they thought, so all ruling classes think.

This October it might be harder to pull off a crash. If things continue the way they're going now, any substantial downturn may occasion opportunistic buying.

Oh they would love to do that. The funny thing, the greatly ironic thing, is that the left doesn't actually understand how anything works. That's why they can't build it, but it's also why they can't intentionally break it. (now unintentionally they could screw up a steel ball in a sandbox, but that's a different matter) They honestly have no idea why the economy is growing, what has been done to make that happen. They think that all you have to do to make what you want happen is to think real hard about it, and then maybe go out and sit in a circle and chant with their friends while banging on a drum or something. So that's the kind of "tactics" they will try.

And if that doesn't work for them, I guess they're just going to fall back to setting a time for everyone to go outside together and scream at the sky.
