The Morning Report 5/17/18

fib.jpg

Good morning kids. The big story today, and it's a biggie yet it really comes as no surprise (which is both big and tragic) is the report that leakers to Slim's Slimes (the NY Times for you rookie morons [new readers]) are confirming that the FBI essentially ran a completely illegal spy operation against the Trump presidential campaign. There were no warrants, there was no judge. The FBI at its highest levels went out and spied on a US presidential candidate for the purposes of gathering information that could be used to either sabotage his campaign or to take him out, politically or by prosecution in court. I suppose the question is did Obama and Clinton know of, authorize, approve of or even plan and initiate this or did we (and still do) have a group of "little Eichmanns" committing crimes all on their own merely because they were fellow travelers? And all things considered, is that even an important question to ask anymore considering the nature of these revelations which, frankly, we all have suspected for quite a long time now? Fact: We have a bureaucracy that lords over us no matter who we elect. Fact: we have a rogue judiciary that mostly exists to violate the Constitution in order to move the country ever leftwards. Fact: we have one political party that is hell bent on overthrowing the nation as founded and another whom we elect in the futile hopes they will oppose it, yet do the exact opposite of what they promise and what we elect them for. Read the links about Paul Ryan and DACA and the GOP and Net Neutrality.

Every damn day I get up to put this post together and every damn day it seems as if it's f**king Groundhog Day all over again (sorry, Yogi). Sigh. I guess we're just in the middle of it all and we won't really be able to assess the meaning of all of this for at least 10 years. This much I do know; what cannot go on - and surely, what is happening in DC and in the courts and the impunity of Obama, the Clintons, Brennan, Mueller and all the rest - ultimately will not go on.

On a granular level, Rudy pulls a Murrow on Mueller, Mueller is now churlishly retaliating in a completely hack/infantile way against the Russian firm that caused his farce prosecution to blow up in his face, and one of the Awan brothers, who stinks of Wasserman-Schultz taint, is attempting to browbeat a witness about her FBI testimony.

In politics, Paul Ryno is attempting to stick it to the American people with an Amnesty before he slinks away to K Street, we have a nice list of the RINO Never-Trumpers involved in that discharge petition, and your GOP in the Senate has passed a bill to preserve Net Neutrality. Meanwhile, the Keith "X" Ellison wants to regulate corporate salaries (Karl Marx would be so proud despite being a Joo, eh Keith?), the Muslim candidate for governor of Michigan had a meltdown when confronted about sharia and John Bel Edwards in Louisiana pulled the typical Dem blood libel of Republicans killing off the elderly by abolishing SSI and Medicare in a mass mailing to same. Race to the bottom for the midterms - whichever party pisses off the voters more loses.

On the international front, surprising no one, Hamas is admitting that most of those killed in its 40,000-strong human wave assault on the border with Israel were, get this, members of Hamas. Meanwhile, protests are flaring up again in Iran with two reported dead and the Dems are trying to monkey around with the AUMF fearing PDT might attack Iran (heaven forfend, right?). Meanwhile, some believe that Whoa, Fat's! threat to pull out of a summit is a stalling move so they can hide their nukes. That is a fair assumption, IMHO.

Domestically, PDT's 9th Circus nominee is facing opposition from Cruz and Sasse (the ass) for his positions on Heller and Citizens United, Common Core has left California kids lacking in math skills but at least they wont be able to be euthanized, at least not in utero.

We've had two record years of global cooling but since it's called climate change the Red Greens with the argument anyway, and Kilauea is ready to blow its lid. Maybe Judge Punchy Macadamia Molokai Leper Colony can go up there and issue an injection against it.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

I hope the scientists that are watching this are an inclusive and diverse group. I also hope they support native traditions and beliefs and have a strong representation of native Hawaiians with advanced degrees in physics, geology and plate tectonics.

Depending only on science without taking into account the natives who have lived there for ten hundred million years along with the dinosaurs would be culturally intensive. Until I see CNN video of a 63 year old white PhD wearing a grass skirt dancing to appease Pele, I will not believe their commitment to real diversity no matter what kind of shirt he is wearing.

48 2. Biggest takeaway: Govt "sources" admit that, indeed, the Obama DOJ and FBI spied on the Trump campaign. Spied. (Tho NYT kindly calls spy an "informant.") NYT slips in confirmation far down in story, and makes it out like it isn't a big deal. It is a very big deal.

Posted by: JAS at May 17, 2018 07:49 AM (ii30j)

49 3. In self-serving desire to get a sympathetic story about its actions, DOJ/FBI leakers are willing to provide yet more details about that "top secret" source (namely, that spying was aimed at Page/Papadopoulos)--making all more likely/certain source will be outed. That's on them

54 5. Back in Dec., NYT assured us it was the Papadopoulos-Downer convo that inspired FBI to launch official counterintelligence operation on July 31, 2016. Which was convenient, since it diminished the role of the dossier. However . . .

Posted by: JAS at May 17, 2018 07:51 AM (ii30j)

55 6. Now NYT tells us FBI didn't debrief downer until August 2nd. And Nunes says no "official intelligence" from allies was delivered to FBI about that convo prior to July 31. So how did FBI get Downer details? (Political actors?) And what really did inspire the CI investigation?

It's almost as if you can't trust the MSM to give you honest news.

Money is mostly fungible, but labor is not so fungible for the worker. It may be "fungible" for the employer ... so he can substitute H1Bs for American workers, and force them to train them. But American workers just lose the jobs, until we run out of foreigners.

166 Don't think the zoning/gun shop decision is really that big a deal. If cities and states can ban liquor stores, they can ban gun stores. Organized commercial activity has always been recognized as being within the police power of the state to regulate, the limiting factor is what the citizens in that jurisdiction will put up with. (just look at the history of dry counties)

It is ultimately futile to try and regulate an activity out of existence, however; it simply gets pushed to a more friendly jurisdiction, the people who want the thing go over there to get what they want, and the banning jurisdiction loses tax revenue, jobs, and any chance at control. That's what has always happened with the dry counties, that's what will happen with places that ban gun stores.

191 So, to recap: the feds have one tool in their toolbox--entrapment.

Over and over, they tried to entrap the Trump campaign.

And we see, as the campaign went on, they got more and more frustrated that they refused to take the bait.

They send their guy to plant a "conversation" with the Pappadoapplos fellow--nothing happens.

They specifically--and against established rules--clear a Russian lawyer to "sell" "dirt" to Trump--they still don't bite.

There will be at least 3-4 more attempts to entrap and place plants that will come out before this is over--every single piece of Russian "collusion" has lead back to a sloppy operation run by the US IC.

Oh, and remember: Ruby Ridge was the FBI covering up an entrapment as well.

let me share some serious thoughts here.

Maryland passed a law requiring a potential legal gun purchaser to (With few exception) acquire a Maryland Handgun Qualification License.

As part of the process to approve his piece of shit law, there was much wrangling as to what would be required to be included in the qualification process.

Ultimately, against the wishes of the conservative side of the aisle, a requirement to actually fire a handgun was required to be included in the approved classroom syllabus. Not proficiency..just fire a round downrange.

Interestingly, in the city of Baltimore, there is not a single facility in which one can complete the firing portion of the qualification.

And this really is a case of Women, financially challenged and other minorities hardest hit.

There are many individuals in the city who wish to legally own a firearm for self protection.

State legislators basically said "Fcuk you"

Something like OKC again would hand the (D)'s something they absolutely want.

299 You know, I think it best if we let this drop. Blowing up a bunch of
people in a courthouse is not revolutionary, it's murder. Leaving a
truckload of fertilizer and fuel oil with a fuse is not heroic or
    patriotic. It's cowardice.
    ---
I meant the war part more than the revolutionary part.

When we invaded Iraq I'm pretty sure we bombed the shit out of whatever secret national police were Saddam's equivalent to the FBI on the grounds that they were a legitimate military target, being part of the regime and all.

The primary differences between the events being
    1. It was just two (or three the last potentially being a foreign spy, which is admittedly a pretty big deal) guys making the decision to act, which consequently meant
    2. They didn't have a multi-million dollar aircraft or multi-billion dollar sub to launch from.

Now, I agree that two people making that choice is too few, but the entire point of the second amendment is that the Founders thought it a possibility at some point that some number of Americans were going to find themselves needing to make that choice, but not have the numbers to secure their rights through the electoral process (or a potentially larger number if the government decided to ignore elections).

Saddam put civilians in things he knew would be targeted so he could get pictures of civilian casualties, and I can say in that instance I didn't care in the slightest, as their deaths were a consequence of their failure to get Saddam under control before we had to do it.

The Geneva Conventions, not that anyone actually cares about them, place the blame for such a circumstance not on the attacker, but on the government that owns the structure for not keeping its civilians clear of what would clearly be considered a military target.

356 The FBI said that James Hodgekinson was a suicide by cop instead of a political terrorist. I live hear and I know for a fact that the loon was bonding with other non-violent leftist loons before the attack and they were shocked that he was violent because he had the same opinions as they did. His entire time here was spent ranting about republicans.

    The FBI is completely corrupted.

So, while McVeigh was a complete piece of filth and hopefully is burning for eternity in the fires of hell, people can and do resort to horrific violence when driven crazy by some miscarriage of justice whether it's real or created by the media.

It's about scale and how you value your own life. For example, the congressional republicans walked out on the FBI brief that Hodgekinson was merely a suicide and not politically motivated. I'd like to, but wouldn't, slap their faces over and over until they saw sense. Some nutball with nothing to lose might go crazy.

367 The left wants McVeighs to "act out" violently. They also want the leftists like the Republican baseball team shooter to act out violently. It works both ways for them. They get dead Republicans form leftist shooters, they get good propaganda from McVeigh bombers (as if he really represents "deplorables")

There is no "excuse" for McVeigh, but understanding the "inevitable" response to oppression is useful. The same is happening in Europe where "oppression" is in the form of mass third world Muslim immigration/invasion along with government demands it continues and people learn to accept it, surrender to it (even with the rapes, murder, surrender of culture). So "nationalist" groups rise up ... defend their nation, get arrested.

The US is taking the correct path so far ... electing Trump to stop the DeepState Syndicate. If this fails do we just surrender our nation and liberty to the global crime syndicate, or do we (you young people) get violent? (even with violence, a useful resistance would target only the enemy agents ... though in the end ... burn Tokyo, Dresden, Atlanta --- diaspora of ALL the "Palestinians"?)

Both deeply disaffected by and hostile to our country (as founded) and both having an innate or developed a chameleon-like quality of conforming to "professional/conservative" norms of dress, speaking, etc, designed to reassure the normals while at the same time living their life to undermine everything normal around them.

Recently, those 3 have echoed each other, often to the detriment of the country because they are all RINOs. 382 I'm not pro amnesty or open borders by any definition. One glaring problem that rarely is mentioned here. (Drudge Headline again) US reproduction rates continue to fall. Citizens here as well as most developed nations are experiencing the same. Merkel's solution was insane. Aging population, couples waiting longer and having fewer children coupled with Social Security and Medicare obligations is an eminent disaster. The reality is we need a sh*t ton of LEGAL imigration, preferably Catholic/Christian/Judeo/Hindu/Buddhist/Confucius/ or any belief system compatible with our way of life and willing to assimilate. Sharia seems to be the major incompatibility. Hell, Santaria/Voodoo seems crazy to me, but I doubt their religious leaders issuing a Hex ever blew up an IED. I don't care about the diversity of applicants. I'm white. My wife is black. You may be surprised to learn that no government mandate or quota regulation made this happen. We need new citizens that are not going to be produced by unwilling Americans. Our immigration laws required 12 years and $20,000 for my British stepmother to gain citizenship. As a country, we can't let everyone in. (See Germany) We need a streamlined process. Indian and Asian imigrants are outperforming our American citizens in every category, from financial and educational to family reproduction and unity. These are the very traits we want in American citizens! So why is there no discussion of a feasable plan to invite and actively recruit these immigrants? Simple verifiable standards: education, job skills, criminal background search, and language proficiency. This could be implemented with websites and online instruction. Take some tests, if you pass, great! Get a visa that allows 36 months in our country to prove your worth without social assistance. If one is deficienct in some way, action is taken. We could rollout sites in every country in native languages. Explain the rules and provide the tools. The cost would be negligible, the benefits immense. Does anyone really have a problem with millions of skilled, employable, English speaking non-criminals immigranting to become productive US citizens? Right now we do need a wall to protect our borders, but what really need is a door, clearly marked: This is where you get in and how you get in.

You're one of the "civic nationalists" that believes that there is no Human Bio-Diversity. You believe in the magic dirt hypothesis that coming here makes you an American. This has been disproven over and over again since at least 1965. Look, as long as their are unemployed citizens that want to work, and parasites supported by taxpayer largesse that could work, we don't need ANY immigrants in this country.
