Sara A. Carter: Sources Tell Me the Spy, or Informant, Placed In or Near Trump's Camp Was Located in London, and It Involves Papadopolous, But Was Not Papadopolous Himself

She said this on Hannity last night.

She says she knows who it is, but declines to say yet.

Andy McCarthy thinks the spy/informant will soon be outed:

With Justice and anonymous intelligence-community leakers having provided conflicting explanations, the latest controversy involves the role played by a CIA and FBI informant, based in Britain, who appears to have been deployed against marginal Trump-campaign figures (such as George Papadopoulos). Several bloggers began reporting the likely identity of this source over the weekend; I am going to follow the lead of the Wall Street Journal's Kim Strassel and resist mentioning the name -- I am not in the news-breaker business, and it is likely to be confirmed soon enough.

He had previously, independently reasoned the spy -- or informant -- was in London:

A Human Source . . . in Britain, Not Australia

Three other things to consider:

1. For months, the House Intelligence Committee sought disclosure of the “electronic communication” (EC) by which the FBI opened its counterintelligence-investigation file on Papadopoulos, reportedly in July 2016...

The committee therefore wanted to know what foreign intelligence had spurred the probe, particularly in light of intelligence leaks that an Australian government report about Papadopoulos was the cause.

Yet, when Nunes was finally allowed to look at the EC, only after threatening contempt proceedings against Justice Department officials, he learned that the FBI did not set forth any foreign intelligence -- there was no Australian report, no "Five Eyes intelligence product" at all, Nunes told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo.

Did the FBI's British operation involve using a spy to interact with Trump-campaign figures, such as Papadopoulos, on British soil?

If the FBI was not explicitly relying on intelligence from a foreign ally, on what was it relying to open a counterintelligence investigation focusing on an American political campaign? According to what the New York Times reported in April 2017, "current and former law enforcement and intelligence officials" said the investigation was triggered by Carter Page's trip to Moscow. That would implicate the Clinton-campaign-generated Steele dossier, which claimed that Page's trip furthered a Trump–Russia conspiracy. I've detailed how, as reliance on the unverified dossier has become more controversial, the media and intelligence agencies have tried to minimize its importance to the opening of the investigation.

Did the dossier instigate not only FISA surveillance but human spying against the Trump campaign?

2. As Larry O'Connor has recounted in the Washington Times, Obama's former CIA director John Brennan was asked, by NBC's Chuck Todd, whether the FBI's investigation was triggered by intelligence from the Five Eyes (i.e., the U.S., Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia — five Anglosphere governments that have longstanding, unusually close intelligence-sharing arrangements). Brennan would not answer the question directly, but he emphasized U.S. ties not with Australia but with Britain:

The F.B.I. has [a] very close relationship with its British counterparts. And so, the F.B.I. had visibility into a number of things that were going on involving some individuals who may have had some affiliation with the Trump campaign. And so, the intelligence that we collected was pulsed against that. And I thought it would have been derelict if the F.B.I. did not pull the threads, investigative threads, on American persons who might have been involved with Russia and working on their behalf either wittingly or unwittingly.

Sounds like the FBI, with support from the CIA, had some cooperative intelligence venture with British authorities that enabled the Bureau to monitor Trump-campaign figures. That is significant because Papadopoulos has acknowledged meeting in Britain with people who claimed Kremlin ties and who told him Russia had thousands of Clinton’s emails. Did the FBI’s British operation involve using a spy to interact with Trump-campaign figures, such as Papadopoulos, on British soil? Brennan didn't say.

3. In December 2017, McCabe testified in a closed hearing before the House Intelligence Committee. The Washington Examiner's Byron York reported that McCabe "said on more than one occasion that the FBI had worked hard to verify the dossier, telling lawmakers that the FBI had at one point sent investigators to London as part of that effort" (emphasis added).

Did the FBI's work to verify the dossier in London involve a human source? Did it involve other human sources in other places?

Also see this later column from McCarthy, where he examines the very, very redacted Page-Strzok emails, and comes away with the feeling that they have been redacted to hide the hand of Obama and senior Obama people overseeing the spy operation.

Now I don't know anything about anything else, but I would invite people to take a fresh look at Charles Ross' March 28 report, which I excerpted on the blog.

I can read a horse to lines, but I can't make it read between the lines.

By the way:

Would brave Truth-Teller Jake Tapper, who is a good man who believes in goodness, care to bravely, truthfully retract his previous "reporting" that claims that Obama was spying on Trump were #FakeNews?

If Jakey is too much of a Prancing Pillowbiter to admit he was wrong, perhaps he can call Tater and ask him to make the correction on his behalf?

Oh -- and I wonder how #JakesHarem of drooling fellators will greet this news? Oh that's right, they'll pretend it didn't happen at all. Just like their girthy, musky hero Jake.

As Streiff observed of #JakesHarem:

Note that one of the bylines in the story cited above belongs to one of the guys fired over the Scaramucci story and another is Jake Tapper who, for reasons that escapes me, has reduced a lot of alleged conservatives to a fanboi status that borders on homoeroticism.

Rush was talking about this the day before yesterday. This guy was an FBI mole. The Deep State invented this whole collusion shit. The mole worked Papadopolous, who was an easy mark for the setup.

They fed him stories, "Psst, you know the Rooskies have all sorts of dirt on Hillary and her emails." They then got him to blab that in some bar to the Australian "amabassador" (High Commissioner), who could then report this back to our spooks. Who then had "evidence" of collusion to allow them to get FISA warrants and all that shit.

The whole thing was a setup by the Deep State to take out Trump.

Halper is the guy in London. And his antics were so ridiculously amateurish and oafish, they could only work on someone as clueless as ...... Papadopolopalus. How the latter dipshit finagled his way to anything more than stuffing envelopes on the campaign (not that he did, actually) is a mystery. Of course a campaign like Trump's - an outsider, mostly staffed by outcasts or outsiders - offers great opportunity for no-names, or for idiots like Papo.

149 President Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, told Fox News on Wednesday that special counsel Robert Mueller has told the president's legal team he will follow Justice Department guidance and not seek an indictment against Trump.

Giuliani, himself a former federal prosecutor and mayor of New York City, also told Fox News that Mueller's investigators have not responded to five information requests from the president's team. That has forced Trump's legal team to push off making a decision about whether the president will sit for an interview with the special counsel -- a decision they had hoped to reach by Thursday.

The precedent that federal prosecutors cannot indict a sitting president is laid out in a 1999 Justice Department memo. Giuliani told Fox News that Mueller has no choice but to follow its guidance.

"This case is essentially over," Giuliani said. "They're just in denial."

TOR is reportedly compromised by the FBI (and/or other feds). Encrypted email: number one, you can never be certain the intelligence agencies haven't broke the encryption. Number two, even if it isn't broken today, you can bet that all those messages are archived and that they encryption could be broken at a future date.

On the other hand, if you have a husband in the DOJ, you might be aware that ham radio transmissions are not currently being collected (I have no idea, one way or the other). You might also be using some kind of encryption with those transmissions.

Or, maybe all the speculation about her ham radio license may be all wild speculation that does nothing more than amuse the targets of it to no end.

238 This is what the Mueller investigation is designed to mask:

The Russians have developed a Hypersonic missile that the United States cannot defend against in part from technology stolen during this Skokovo project, which was a fake Russian Silicon Valley front operation. 17 of the 28 companies involved in that scam donated tens of millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation. That's what they're hiding. Treason.

Oleg Deripaska's business partner, who was also a business partner of Manafort, was President of the Skokovo project. That guy, whose name escapes me, gave Trump a tiny speaking fee and that is being investigated.

But Mueller is studiously ignoring the yuge piles of cash that same guy made to the Clinton Foundation along with his buddies in the Skokovo project.

Then they report it to the US Government, as if Papadopolous got it from the Russians; but he'd actually gotten it from Halper, ex-MI6 working with CIA and FBI, and Misfud, a guy who seems to work with the Russians but also western intelligence.

And Mueller's "report" will be a howler. Being unprepared for trial, and almost certainly cancelling to whole thing to avert discovery, will deny us the entertaining spectacle of them explaining the indictments.

282 Halper is son in law of Cline. Cline was the chief intelligence operative in the Kennedy Cuban Missile Crisis. In the midst of World War II, Cline joined the Office of Strategic Services. He became Chief of Current Intelligence in 1944. He later traveled to China where he worked with other legendary OSS officers such as John K. Singlaub, Richard Helms, E. Howard Hunt, Paul Helliwell, Robert Emmett Johnson, and Lucien Conein. In 1946, he was assigned to the Operations Division of the General Staff of the United States Department of War, tasked with writing the history of the Operations Division.
Cline joined the Central Intelligence Agency in 1949. He was initially responsible for intelligence on Korea, but he failed to predict North Korea's 1950 invasion of South Korea, which began the Korean War. From 1951-1953, he served in Great Britain under the supervision of Brigadier General E. C. Betts. From 1953 to 1957, he was the CIA desk officer charged with monitoring the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China;

They would have to be in the same place to do that. Was Nellie Ohr in London? Halper was. Assuming Ohr was not, some kind of electronic exchange would be necessary. They may have felt that ham radio was the best way to do so without getting their messages captured. Since they were violating the law, concealing their messages just make good sense.

Even if she was in London, they still wanted to conceal what they were up to. Meeting in person every time they wanted to communicate might have been noticed at some point.

Intel community, DOJ, FBI - simply no longer credible sources, anyone with an effective IQ above 90 no longer trusts them.

Thing is ...... the most recent disclosures suggest a Brennan-centered effort that started even earlier than the ridiculous "counter-intelligence" investigation. And how long before some bit of evidence which simply cannot be read *other* than to implicate the WH in the nitty gritty of all this is turned up thanks to Nunes?

348 They would have to be in the same place to do that.

Meeting in person every time they wanted to communicate might have been noticed at some point.

likelihood of exchanging electronic messages in some way that is leads to them is higher than doing so physically, especially since they do not have much to exchange.

That is a word play to confuse the difference between digital encoding and encryption. Encoding means converting analog signals to digital. Encryption means encoding the signal in such a way that the message contents can not be read.

The standard for Ham Radio is encoding is allowed as long as the method for encoding is public information, thus making the message content readable. Encryption is not legal on ham bands.

The Ham Bands are self-policing. Think neighborhood watch. Someone is always listening. Hams have DF capability, usually to track down radio frequency interference, and anything suspicious shows up on the ham bands and somebody takes it as a personal challenge. They call it 'fox hunting', and it is an organized sport.

The FCC still has their DF capability as do all the branches of the Military.

For starters...

Cline joined the Central Intelligence Agency in 1949. He was initially responsible for intelligence on Korea, but he failed to predict North Korea's 1950 invasion of South Korea, which began the Korean War. From 1951-1953, he served in Great Britain under the supervision of Brigadier General E. C. Betts. From 1953 to 1957, he was the CIA desk officer charged with monitoring the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China;

Exactly. I'm reading the NR piece by McCarthy right now and once all of this sees the light of day - and there is no way they can string this out long enough to avoid that - there is literally no way the FBI and DOJ can continue in their current form and ANYONE with a functioning brain believe they have any credibility.

Honestly, how could anyone not conclude this scandal isn't orders of magnitude worse than anything Nixon did or even THOUGHT of doing ?

They politicized the FBI and DOJ to such an extent that both agencies were actively working an operation to sow fake information about the Trump campaign that their agencies could then use as a pretext for surveilling the campaign and eventually capitalizing on the fact that ever person commits 3 felonies every day to undermine Trump.

It's really that simple. It cannot stand and if the whole thing ever sees the honest light of day, the Democrat party is finished. Period. End of story.

Posted by: REDACTED at May 16, 2018 07:10 PM (Ymy4N)

416 The other thing to keep in mind, especially if you were discussing this with someone of a liberal mindset, is that this wasn't even "political" so to speak. Sure, a lot of the people involved were Democrats that wanted to make sure Obama's legacy would remain, but even the likes of Clapper and Brennan were in on it and could be considered, ostensibly, RINOs, at worst.

No, this was all about making sure the "right people" get to run things. We joke about how the failure theater Republicans are really ok with Big Government, so long as THEY get to run it, but that's not really a joke. The notion of citizen government, by, of, and for the people - THAT - is the joke.

Trump was and is truly an outsider that wouldn't stand for their bullshit and was dead set on actually putting America - and AMERICANS - first for a change. That would screw up all their little plans and schemes and insider trading they use to make themselves and all their pals rich.

THAT is what got this all started.
