The Morning Report 5/16/18

discharge.jpg

Good morning kids. As we hit the midweek mark, there are lots of big things happening on some major fronts but there is one thing that is happening under the radar that I want to shine a light on. Evidently, some fake RINO stooge from California named Jeff Denham is leading a drive to get a discharge petition in the House that would bring a DACA Amnesty bill to the floor for a vote. Naturally, the sneaky CoC-whore waited until after yesterday's primaries to move ahead with this sellout. Although fellow Californian Kevin McCarthy seems to be taking the spineless "splunge" position, Steve Scalise is standing firm in fighting this disgusting, traitorous momzer's move.

California GOP Rep. Jeff Denham is the frontman in the petition effort, which needs just seven more GOP signatures to reach the 25 needed GOP signatures on the discharge petition. Those 25 signatures will allow the 193 Democrats to take the 218-vote majority control of the House floor and push through a no-strings amnesty for roughly 3 million younger 'DACA' illegals.

That amnesty would also block President Donald Trump's pro-American immigration reforms because it would leave him with nothing to buy off the cheap-labor groups in the GOP and Democratic parties. "Denham is telling people they'll get to 25 after primaries today because members will be 'free' to co-sponsor" the petition once their state primaries are over...

I'm sure you can all imagine the colorful expletives I have for this goniffing paskudnyak of a bi-pedal turd. If nothing else, it perfectly illustrates the fact that the GOP-e has not, does not and will never represent the will of the majority of people in this nation. They have their role to play in the dismantling/overthrow of America as founded. If I thought it would do any good, I'd say burn the phone lines down to your Congresscritter and especially the White House. The sooner PDT can use the Twitter weapon against this garbage, the better. Who needs a blue wave when you have a red tide like this. Disgusting.

Now on to other things, first on the not-so-secret front to take down America, Paul Manafort's motion to dismiss the charges against him was tossed. You'll be surprised, I'm sure, to learn that the judge was an Obama appointee. Meanwhile as the layers of this stinking onion get peeled back we are learning more and more about the details of how this elaborate scam got set up. A key player is one Joseph Mifsud, a Maltese professor (not "bippy") who planted info with George Papadopoulos in order to set him up for a fall to ultimately nail President Trump. Short version, think "set-up" not "witch hunt." I linked to Limbaugh's show from Monday on yesterday's post and he lays the whole thing out quite well, as does Mollie Hemingway among others who has done outstanding work in uncovering this crime; probably the worst political crime, to put it mildly, in US history bar none.

Meanwhile, too long out of the spotlight, Adam Schiff-for-brains is now hawking an alleged violation of the emoluments clause between real estate mogul Trump and the Chi-Coms. These people are relentless, but so be it. They are making themselves as wanted as projectile colitis in the eyes of the American people. Thank goodness we have Republicans like Jeff Denham to take advantage of it (sarc). Semi-related, Rand Paul is sounding an alarm bell over Gina Haspel, this time for something that could be cause for alarm; her professional relationship with John Brennan. That's all PDT needs right now running the CIA, a Brennan stooge. Needs further investigation before I take a stand one way or another.

On to foreign policy where Phat Phoney Whoa, Fat! is now backtracking on his promise to dismantle his nukes and is threatening the summit with PDT. The excuse is our military exercises with the RoK, and some think he was pissed about PDT boasting about the hostage release. Hang tough, Mr. President. The Chi-Coms want to de-nuke the NorKs and will slap Chunky upside his head. If they don't, then it's all on him.

Then again, the Media will blame you like it blames the evil Jooz for not allowing themselves to be exterminated. No need to really delve into all of this but I'll conclude by noting Nikki Haley's reaction at the UN as the Palestinian leader was quoting from "Mein Kampf" - she got up and walked out.

In other news, Deb Fischer and Lou Barletta, both backed by PDT, won their primaries yesterday and will move on to the general, the Leftist base of the Dems is enraged at the leadership for running "moderate" candidates, even phony ones and the chair of the Hispanic Caucus dragooned Joe "jizz-lip" Kennedy into recording ads in Hispanish. Don't she speak the lingo bueno? Muy no-good-o.

From hither and yon, a flicker of sanity from Eurabia as the renowned University of Heidelberg has rejected the BDS movement, the President just got his 21st judicial nominee appointed, the GOP is pressuring Mitch McCoCBrother to keep the senate in session in order to speed up the appointments, Chris Cilizza (sounds like something from a herpetology lab) evidently will surffer no recriminations for Tweeting a GIF of PDT in gun crosshairs, Francis the Talking Mule Pope is rumored to be thinking of stepping down (Please G-d, literally) and lastly we note with sadness the passing at age 88 of great American author Tom Wolfe, who gave us such works as "The Bonfire of the Vanities" and "The Right Stuff." RIP.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

They really do think that Trump is a one-off and we were just blowing steam. They honestly think that come the midterms and the next election, they'll be able to ignore us with impunity.

The Miami Herald, reporting on a Sun Sentinel article, sez that:

Despite resigning in disgrace after the Parkland school shooting, former Broward Sheriff's Office deputy Scot Peterson is receiving a generous state pension that will pay him more than he made in his last year on the force. Peterson's monthly pension, which began in April, clocks in at $8,702.35, according to a report from the South Florida Sun Sentinel published Tuesday evening. That's $104,428.2 per year in pension payments, compared to the $101,879.03 he was paid last year, the Sun Sentinel reports.

You know it's almost like the NYT and CNN are trying to push this meme of infighting and disunity whether they have any actual evidence of it or not. It's gotten to the point that whenever I see a story along these lines, I look first to see the source, and if it's from the NYT or CNN, I don't bother reading it, it'll be the same story they've published 100 times this year already with just a couple words and names changed around.

I mean, yanking Dukes of Hazzard from reruns and there are still howls to never show Gone with the Wind ever again. In retrospect, the Confederate Flag kerfluffle was about the Left flexing their muscles and showing what they could do now - and never forget that at least half of the GOP nationwide, the CofC open-borders and do-anything-to-keep-the-easy-money-flowing-in GOP-e types were all on board with this too. It meant that any pol who personally opposed this faced personal destruction from both sides, especially with a complete lack of any national leadership from any GOP member. (where was Romney when this was going down, hmm? He ever have anything to say? I don't remember anything if he did.)

The left never actually cared about a flag, this was a test run for what they intended to do over and over to establish their power throughout society. It took someone with the balls and standing of Trump to finally start to push back, and look at what he has had to fight - the entire DOJ, FBI, and CIA all mobilized together to try to destroy him personally. It's astounding that he's still standing.

But put him in a position where people DON'T defer to him - and he's nothing special. I'm telling you - put him in jeans and workboots and in my shop. I can think of a half-dozen guys there way quicker on their feet than Mitt Friggin' Romney.

Now Romney ... he's in John McCain territory for me. I don't care who he runs against for President. I'm staying home.

327 I don't really know the whole story, but was Lincoln more like Hillary or Reagan/Trump? Abe used some treachery and "shadow government" tactics to win, including controlling the press iirc. And he may have been a little crazy, like Hillary. "

Two different periods to consider, before and after Sumter. Once the shooting starts, then all normal rules of conduct go out the window and wartime rules apply. Which is, just win baby, and only make explanations later.

But the election of 1860 is another matter - Lincoln didn't cheat, but he only had about 40% of the vote. The Country was so split and divided that no other candidate could even get close to that. I've thought of this when some pundit or another will point out Trump's low popularity numbers - if you take America as it was constituted in 1860, then it is fair to say that Lincoln, from the day he was elected right up to the day he died, never had more than 40% support. In the darkest days, much less than that - and yet look at how he transformed the nation! In other words, popular support is not what makes history, leadership is what changes the world.

The only reason Lincoln won re-election in 1864 was because half the country wasn't allowed to vote - and even then it was rather close.

Text dictionaries may give you usage examples, but they still fall far short of truly conveying language as we use it.

Online dictionaries now have but one advantage over print: audio pronunciation files.

In the future, online dictionaries will include short videos showing the proper facial expression and hand gestures to accompany a word or phrase.

True, thanks for that point.

but what exactly was that transformation? More centralized control, many dead, country not united, but war torn. Was splitting the nation or war the only choice, or were the (northern "conglomerate" benefitting) tariffs/taxes an issue Lincoln could have conceded on?

What would Andrew Jackson have done? ... how soon would slavery have ended, with a better path to freedom for the slaves than they had? (thousands died, the North didn't care about them).

RE Lee fought for his state, not for slavery. But that history is destroyed.

Know the greed of state legislatures they try and skim a little on the lines of the games. For example, when betting a game in LV the bettor lays 11 to 10 on the outcome.
I can see states like Kalifornia offering up the same game but the bettor will have to lay 12 to 10 or 12.5.

422 What would Andrew Jackson have done? ... how soon would slavery have ended, with a better path to freedom for the slaves than they had? (thousands died, the North didn't care about them)."

There's a good case to be made that the war would have begun by 1840 if not for Andrew Jackson - and it's important to look at what the actual fight was at the time, the war was NOT about slavery, the actual war was about Secession. (now you can make the case that slavery was what caused secession, but that can go on and on and on)

Jackson, of course, had quite a fearsome reputation - he had killed more men up close and personal than any other President, before or since. (We've had Generals and the like, but no one seemed to enjoy the actual act of Killing someone as much as Jackson seems to have done). In the 1830's, South Carolina was already starting to talk about Secession, but Jackson thunderously declared that if Anyone in South Carolina voted to Secede, he would go down there personally and hang the first secessionist he could find from the first oak tree he saw.

And Jackson being Jackson, no one doubted him, and all the talk of secession ended right there.

The greatest miscalculation that the South made was that they viewed Lincoln as weak and untested after the election of 1860, and they felt they could roll over him without much trouble. A lot like the way the Deep State thought it would be easy to roll over Trump.

I think she must have had outside stress, because I remember it as nothing more than the ordinary morning thread, and then something got misunderstood and taken out of context, and then "well I'm outta here!" or something like that. I'm sure she would have said "You can only speak to my supervisor 7-10 days after the utilities have been marked, weather permitting."

Oh and when I called the first time they told me the drop/bury order had been cancelled due to "lack of access". There isn't a fence...there is nothing to prevent them from burying the cable.

So then I asked, "what date was the line run?"...they replied "April 27th."
