The biggest danger of a nuclear release anywhere is that everyone with a grudge around the world could decide that's the time for the Airing of the Grievances. I just don't buy the "We must start a war to prevent a war!" hype any more. Anything we do in that region will only make things worse. Let them sort that shit out for themselves. I'm pretty sure Israel is capable of taking out whatever they feel necessary in Iran. Maybe back them up to deter a ground invasion but that's about it.
One of these days Russia's patience is going to wear out and the real conflict the establishment wants will be here.

Building long-term bases in the mid-east only validates these lunatics desire to develop nuclear weapons. That tactic has worked very well for North Korea over the years.

That is very noble of you, however history has shown us over and over and over that we only end up creating five new madmen for every one we overthrow.My solution is to let their neighbors the Russians and Chinese deal with it. We need less and less of their resources every day. Maybe even shift our attention and the vast treasure wasted in the mid-east to our own hemisphere and latin america. Our neighbors. Some of those places are worth fixing.
