You will note, that everything that makes the Senate dysfunctional... are rules they imposed upon themselves.

Rules that can be changed with a simple majority vote...

Rules which were NOT in place for the Founder's of this country....

In fact... it was in 1975 that the rule was changed, so the Senate could conduct OTHER business during a filibuster.... making them more the norm, than the exception...

244 109 because his last underground test effectively destroyed the Nork nuclear testing facilities.

Oh, that would be hilarious. "Sir, the good news is that we'get wildly exceeded our expectations!"

There's a good chance that's what happened. The Norks do all of their testing inside a tunneled out granite mountain, near the Chinese border. Seismic monitoring showed that the test blast 2 months ago was significantly more powerful than anything they had done before, surprising the US monitoring stations. And then, several seconds later, there was a large secondary seismic shock, completely unexpected. Satellite measurements show that the mountain peak has now dropped by some significant number of feet - the conclusion is that there was a significant underground collapse in the facility, due to the power of the explosion. It's also likely that the collapse led to a loss of containment, and that the entire facility is now heavily radioactive.

Oops.
