Ha ha, you've probably guessed that the answer is (d) Joy Reid.

Now the woke Joy Reid is under attack by her erstwhile, but more woke, friends. And her pathetic excuse, "somebody must have hacked my account and inserted those homophobic posts into my blog and then ran away without leaving a trace" isn't helping.

But the dirty secret here is that her observation is correct, and furthermore, it is every bit as true now as it was back when she originally said it. Male homosexuality and female homosexuality are not completely symmetrical. People don't mind lesbian kissing and fooling around all that much. In fact, as every Moron knows, lesbian pr0n geared toward a straight male audience has been around for decades. In contrast, the only ones who like to watch men kissing are male homosexuals. It is inherently repellent in a way that lesbian sex isn't. I'm not sure why this is, but nevertheless, there it is.

I don't particularly care that Reid is being savaged for this. She has sown the wind, let her reap the whirlwind. That is, she has made it abundantly clear that she has been very much on board with the New Rules, the "New Rules" being, in this case, that it's OK to crucify someone for observing a phenomenon that is obvious to anyone with a functioning brain. Her problem is just that she didn't think the New Rules would ever be used against her.

Too many years smoking. So pray for my mother who has to put up with her stubborn husband and that hopefully she will be able to care for him when he gets home.
joeindc44- (3/21/18 ) My father is undergoing a severe COPD episode, including pneumonia and and lung embolism, after breaking his hip. He could use some prayer time so that he stays strong and pulls through this.
Detroit Pete- (3/21/18 ) How can I add my wife Sandy to the prayer list? She has pancreatic cancer.
ChuckR- (3/22/18 ) My business partner's wife has had a recurrence of bone cancer and on 3/22 is having surgery on both hips. She is a wonderful person, kind and caring. Prayers please for her recovery.

She seems to be failing more rapidly now, and the oncologist is recommending hospice. Would appreciate Horde prayers that her journey be as pain-free and dignified as possible.
Some Guy In Texas- (4/17/18 ) I thought I'd send you a follow-up to my prayer request from 2 months ago. The little girl in question has an inoperable brain tumor. It always hits little kids, and it is 100% of fatal within 12 to 18 months of diagnosis. The tumor effects physical functioning and so the child loses the ability to walk and communicate by speech. It's terrible to watch her decline. But she has been accepted as a test subject for an experimental therapy that looks promising. And so she and her family have and much brighter outlook and hope than they had before. So, to that extent, prayers have definitely been answered. Thanks for the prayers, horde.
An anonymous poster (4/17/18 ): A friend from high school lost his daughter to cancer. She was diagnosed three weeks after getting married, and died 6 months later. Parents should not outlive their children. Pray, please, for consolation and peace of mind for her parents and widower, and the repose of the soul of dear Adeline.
Mr Feverhead (4/18/18 ) - Had a hard, hard battle with rectal cancer, had a large part of his intestines removed, as well as his rectum. Has to have a ostomy bag, Found out in hospital he is also a diabetic. He and his wife owe $10,000 is taxes to the IRS and his wife has said that she doesn't want to continue with the marriage of 28 years and moved out taking their son with her "I have one request of the horde. If you have a religious bent please say a prayer for me. I could really, really use it."
Moki (4/21/18 ) Has a saughter who is affected by several physical complaints needs healing and strength. She has chronic Lyme is working hard at her studies despite walking with a cane.
ibguy (4/23/18 ) Joyce is contining to fail. Home Hospice starts tomorrow (only an hour a day, to start). My better half flew back down there again yesterday to spend more time with her while she can; I said my final goodbyes when we were there last week.My prayer is that Joyce continue to be free of physical pain, and that her transition be as peaceful as possible. Hobbitopoly (04/24/18 ) Father had eye surgery on the 23rd for a detached retina. Recovery will be difficult. Thoughts and prayers are welcome
OregonMuse (04/24/18 ) His physical therapy has hit a 'plateau' where there hasn't been much improvement for a while. He will be meeting with the surgeon on Friday 4/27 to see what can be done. Certain rotator cuff muscles are quite weak and the physical therapist doesn't know why. Pray that God would give wisdom to OM's medical caregivers and that a way forward could be found

10 O/T, but I just got a call from our realtor. The elderly couple that's selling us their house is at the Mayo Clinic for a week because the husband just got diagnosed with another form of cancer. I have serious problems along the same lines. One thing that's helped IMMENSELY - and I know this sounds crazy, but it's worked for me - is large doses (Tbsp/day) of fish oil.

I started taking it to help with my shitty vision, and noticed a huge improvement in my sleep, within a few days, among other things.

I listened to this happen in real time on a local radio sports program. There was a black guy who started on the show with the disgraced and demoted Colin Cowherd, who was so obnoxious and despicable he was fired everywhere and ended up working on radio in Portland, Oregon.

The black guy (can't remember his name) was pretty conservative and level-headed at first, then over time because of hanging out with Cowherd and living in the big city became more and more leftist. Cowherd specifically noted this and attributed it to the bubble he'd become part of (although he didn't call it a bubble).

Eventually Cowherd got TV work and left, and the black guy just disappeared because the show simply became leftist garbage rather than sports.

I still say though whether Europe survives will be if they keep out the Muslim invaders or not, it won't be tax rates or labor reforms. That would be my number one issue as a voter.

I cancelled my local paper, too, but not because of politics. They don't publish on Saturdays (because they're working on the Sunday paper) and Mondays (getting over their Sunday hangovers), so it was already hard to keep track of comics with story lines, like Dilbert.

But when they had the gall, The. Gall., to stop publishing Sunday comics it was the last straw. In place of comics, they added a thick full-color regional advertisement bundle.

And when I went in to complain, they asked "well, how much extra would you be willing to pay to have Sunday comics?" I told them where they could stick their newspaper.

That's because it has to monitor EVERY POSSIBLE route into your computer that a virus can possibly use as a entry point, and there are dozens, if not hundreds of these. This can add considerable drag to computer response time, and may even interfere with previously installed programs.

They realize what's gone wrong, and often most of why, but...well, many of them can't quite make the last leap towards sane, workable solutions, because they've been denied the sort of knowledge that would shape that. Once they get hooked up with it, it's astonishing to see how rapidly things change.

Now there's still usually a racial aspect--it's hard to overcome a lifetime marinating in that--but it's still possible to get otherwise sane results this way. Just gotta slip that info through the bubble...

(By the other way, that Hobbit they found in Indonesia a few years ago, homo florensiensus, was only 12,000 years old. Neanderthals died out probably 25,0000 years ago. From what I've read, Asians have around 2%-4% Denisovan DNA and in Oceanians have upwards of 6%-8%, from DNA studies. There are also clues that there may be another 3 or 4 other hominids that contributed DNA based on studies of human DNA outside and inside Africa.

I do have a minor prayer answered. My doctor sent me for an ultrasound for some suspicious whooshing sounds in my belly just in case.
Radiologist checked everywhere and says everything looks normal to her so yay.
Of course I have to officially hear it from my dr too.

I wasn't worriedbut I feel very grateful to God anyway.

It is. They've got to be getting clobbered with public opinion because they wouldn't be doing this otherwise. I'll bet it's worse than even we think.

Local news is largely worthless because the big corps who own all of these outlets absolutely gutted their budgets. It's been going on for a long time because I knew a girl back in the late 1990s who interned at one of the local stations and she said they had the interns writing all the copy for the newscast. They used to pay people to do that and it was better because of it. They also gutted a lot of the behind the scenes people too. That shows up with all the audio problems they constantly have. Audio feed drops out, is spotty, etc. They can barely afford to actually cover an event. They'll send a reporter out to cover something, but it's usually only one thing. I'm old enough to remember when they had multiple reporters covering multiple things around the city.

What you wear to church or other functions is a statement to the world as to how much respect you have for wherever you are going. It's no different than what you are saying to a potential new boss when interviewing. If the job is important to you, you dress with some care.

Church dress is especially important IMO, because you are going into a religious place that will have God present. If you don't care, you'll dress in junk. You'll show up in skin baring clothes designed to look sexy or to flaunt you sexually, because to you , going to church is just one more place you might snag a man or you have a desperate need for attention , even if it was negative.

I remember Michelle looking at the cathedral she was trashed dressed at and commenting on the "art". The religious part of it was of no interest to her.

368 Regarding two women kissing versus two men kissing, I suspect that some of the difference in reaction is because at least in Western cultures non-sexual social touching between men is quite limited and very different from any kind of sexual touch, whereas social touching between women is a bit more common and gentler. As a result, two men in close contact is a bit more jarring than is two women.

The more outre and bizarre parts about deliberately using a mickey to knock women out and have sex with their unconscious bodies is a bit more difficult to really buy into but... maybe. Its a well-known and very well-established fact that people who are drenched in sex get bored with the usual stuff and get weirder and weirder.

It just bothers me that this stuff all exploded just as Cosby was about to get a new TV show. It bothers me on two levels: where was all this before, and why then?

We noticed a lump a month ago and the vet operated and then called a few days later with the worst possible news from the biopsy. He'll be gone very soon. I was charting her insulin needs and found after a few weeks of the wet food, she didn't need it at all! The vet said there was a tiny chance that would be the case, but a chance is still a chance. I was pretty happy about that.

I did the whole insulin injections thing with the big red cat Arizona that I mentioned above. At first I thought it would be impossible, he was never an easy cat to get into a carrier or try to give medicines to.
Turned out to be simple to stick the needle under his skin as he was eating. Glad it turned out even better for you!

I don't doubt that he was drugging women, and that he raped some of them years ago. And there is no excuse for that, obviously. But none of those real victims came forward and pressed charges within the limitations period, so they're out of luck.

This Andrea Constand character is quite shady. She appears to have been well aware that Cosby had a sexual interest in her, and she was clearly encouraging it, presumably in the hope that it would lead to some Cosby cash making its way into her bank account. Her story about what happened between them on the night she claims he drugged her has major holes and inconsistencies in it.

So what is the jury to do? Convict Cosby on Constand's less-than-credible account, not because they believe her but because they believe he did bad stuff to other women in the past? That's not the way our justice system is supposed to work.

When at OCS Quantico we had a couple of marathoners in our company. They could dust you in long run but they had absolutely no upper body strength. Yeah, it's hard to have much sympathy for women (like Constand) who knew Cosby wanted some kind of sexual relationship with them, then voluntarily went to his house or his hotel room and voluntarily took the pills he offered.

Not a huge Springsteen fan overall but I think he always gives a good show. Back when I was in college, before turning my present 29, he gave one of the best concerts I ever saw.

It was in a little theater in Geneva NY. The stage and room went black, totally dark[; even the house lights were down. All of a sudden the lights went up and simultaneously the band kicked into "Rosalita" at full tilt boogie. The crowd started dancing and never stopped. What a show!

Ah yeah, it is a guess. Of course, the notion that Neanderthals could figure out how to trim their hair or tie it up out of the way to avoid burning it off while working over an open fire is kind of suspect, I think.

As for period correct, if you start looking closely at reconstructions you will notice that certain cultures are often portrayed with uncombed hair, dirty clothes, etc., because they are supposed to be "primitive," but other cultures are not. I first noticed it with Edwin Tunis' books on 1) the White frontiersmen and 2) American Indians: two books about two different cultures wearing similar clothing in the same environment, yet guess which culture had its members shown as young, fit, clean, normally proportioned, and with well-fitted clothes, and which one was drawn as dishevelled, wrinkled, unshaven, dirty, and with freakishly huge feet? Also all the women were smoking corn-cob pipes...

You will see the same thing with modern depictions of medieval peasants, vikings, etc, who apparently can't comb their hair or get it out of their face.

Several years back there was an article about Neanderthals in Nat. Geographic wherer one of the pictures was fron an exhibit in Germany where a mannequin was made to have Neanderthal features and was dressed in a suit. You really wouldn't have given him a second thought walking down the street. If you looked closely, you'd notice the eyebrow ridges and the recessed chin, but i'd argue those features are close to the normal vaiation in humans.
