This reminds me of a short story, "The Garden Party," by Katherine Mansfield, in which the huge divide between two social classes is used as a backdrop. One character has no concept of how the other class lives, and when I read this story I remember thinking, "What a twit." America is the same way. And it is very possible that the seemingly unbridgeable divide between the ignorant elites who are afraid of the very idea of guns and the normals who up until now looked at them with mild amusement, thinking, "What twits," will take a more significant turn. I cannot imagine how we can coexist. Woman calls cops on man playing with his kids at park because she was afraid of his pro-gun shirt

As I was walking in the park I heard someone shouting at me and turned to see a large, sweaty guy lumbering towards me, yelling his head off. Call the cops on me-my mother is the dispatcher, she'll take your call. No, really, use my phone, I have the direct number on speed-dial. I insist. Maybe you can talk to the judge while you're at it. He's my Godfather (also true.)"
I walked away whistling while the bloated bozo muttered impotent threats at me.

Not kidding, sadly. We drove by last year with some friends and stopped in to show them. We thought it was odd that there was hardly anyone around. That's because it was closed.
They still have the cigar store nearby, though.

FWIW during my brief time in Uganda I got the impression that their definition of marriage is not the same as in the west.
It doesn't necessarily mean a ceremony with a the signing of a certificate. Polygamy is still a reality in parts of Africa. People who have just started living together appear to call themselves married.

Living the entire time in the Ohio Valley ... I've always lived in a Pro-Gun Culture.
I can't imagine what its like to live in California, New York, Maryland. I've worked in some of those places - hated it - can't imagine what it's like to live there.

Mr.Jen and I attended a speaking engagement by Heather MacDonald at Hillsdale last night. Her topic was the danger of the MeToo movement. She had some very enlightening things to say about the movement and the destruction it is causing. At some point, Hillsdale will post a video of her speech online.
She warned us that when the transgender movement peaks as it will even though its at the top of the pyramid right now, something worse will take it's place. Which she didn't know for certain what it will be exactly, but she said we likely won't be able to imagine it.

It seems only when the scandal gets enough internet attention does the FBI concede to "look into it" and even that seems mostly a coverup. The whole Clinton Foundation had to be a known scam since its (illegal) conception ... but Comey/Rosie/Mueller were the dirty cops (imo) that let it operate under color of law.
The current coup is a continuation of the whole scam ... raiding and collecting every detail from Trump's attorney ... no problem. organized crime bosses? Nope, wouldn't want to do that to their lawyers .. (actually those type lawyers are probably the ones Mueller selected, as I see it)
We are at a crossroads ... will the OIG report "take them out", or will the RINOs and bureaucrats and shadow people take out Trump (or severely compromise him)?

IIRC Rep Beccera (now AG California) who Awans also worked for provided false documents to investigators in this case, and so should be arrested and charged.
I'm glad that this case hasn't been forgotten. It should be dealt with fully. Although, where are all the investigators, prosecutors and jurors going to come from.
