Shocker: GOP "Representatives" Have Contempt for Their Voters and Lie to Them All Day While Revealing Their True Beliefs to Fellow NeverTrumpers

Paul Ryan is the latest rat leaving the sinking ship who will most certainly blame the sorry specter of a midterm Blue Wave on President Trump and his 51% approval rating.

Meanwhile, one of his fellow congressional cucks has this to say, off the record.

One of the President's congressional defenders has privately decided he hates Trump and wants to unload.

"If we're going to lose because of him, we might as well impeach the motherf**ker," said the congressman as we roamed the aisles of a Safeway grocery store together.

"You know having Mike as President would really piss off all the right people, too. They think they hate Trump. Mike is competent," at which point he sighs and laments that there were, in his mind, more than a dozen competent choices in 2016.

The cuck's measure for competency is literally "Has candidate already been in elected office?" I suspect, gun to their heads, they would not be able to name a single non-politician who they would support for the WH.

"It's like Forrest Gump won the presidency, but an evil, really f*cking stupid Forrest Gump.

We gave them the Senate, the House and the White House. And because one of their own didn't get the WH, they instead have thrown a snit, slow-walking confirmations, obstructing major Trump platform initiatives such as killing Obamacare, cutting spending, and building the wall (initiatives they were all for up until Trump got the nomination).

They are affirming the growing certainty among the electorate that every single principle they campaign on is situationally applicable. It is only to be offered, pursued and defended if it is politically advantageous to their own fortunes.

I don't see a political solution short a national divorce. This country is run by people on the Left and the Right who are utterly detached from the day-to-day experiences of fully 50% of its electorate.

That situation was at least acceptable when they would pursue their campaign promises. But we have reached the point where that detachment has led to their utter contempt for our values, and they now openly state their contempt.

The cucks in the Senate and Congress are literally throwing away the power to fulfill the promises they were elected on to satisfy their need for vengeance on Trump and the deplorables who voted him into the White House. The same deplorables who voted them into office.

What has he done so bad that they hate him?

I understand the distaste for his style (hair, speech, orange, twits, etc.)

And I understand their disagreement with his strategy, and that it is hard for them to admit that PDT is right and his strategy is working (against norks, against dems, against media, against china, etc.) In fact, PDT seems 100% competent at everything except licking dem ass and liking it.

Never mind. I get it. They are dems on a different ticket.

My brother in law as a politician. He ran on whatever ticket he though he could win on. His only aspiration was the attention.

I go back to my theory that we need to cut one nut off anyone who runs for state or federal office. (and anther for any lawyers, but I digress.)

Without naming names, there was some heated discussion along those lines in last night's ONT.

This guy is exactly 180 degrees wrong. The Republican cucks are going to lose because they are Republican cucks. If they wholeheartedly supported Trump's agenda they would win easily.

Trump won because he appealed to a diverse array of voters who were sick of the status quo. Besides disaffected conservatives, he also got blue-collar Democrats, independents, and people who don't usually bother voting. Hell, he even got some pissed-off Bernie voters who were #NeverHillary.

None of those people are going to vote for GOPe Chamber of Commerce milquetoasts who are running away from Trump.

60 The GOP for all intents and purposes is an illigitimate political party and a fraud, has been since at least the late 90s when they pushed Gingrich out.

Most of us knew this, Trumps election has removed the scales from all but the most deluded and naive.

We need a new party.

The GOP simply cannot be reformed from the inside.

The Tea Party taught us that lesson.

What - exactly - is the evidence that Trump is "evil" or "dumb"?

Especially coming from a Beltway GOP incumbent - House member, right? After the GOP House could do no better than deliver a middle-years Obama CR to Trump ..... in MARCH? Methinks that he is lying because Trump trashed his little candidate soiree after the Me-Again Repub. candidate debate where Erikson declared him unacceptable as a candidate. Erikson made his money by building up websites and selling them to corporate groups like Salem.

""It's like Forrest Gump won the presidency, but an evil, really f*cking stupid Forrest Gump. He's just a fucking idiot who thinks he's winning when people are bitching about him. He really does see the world as ratings and attention. I hate Forest Gump"

Notice the last line "I hate Forst Gump." It sounds so false. People don't over explain themselves like that when they talk. The whole things rings false but that one line at the end is the tell.

They can claim they will work for things they know will never pass. They don't have to solve any problems, they just have to point out the problems. And lastly, without the power to change anything, they can avoid responsibility for anything.

Same as Arafat never actually wanted a Palestinian state. They would expect him to solve their problems if he was REALLY in charge.

lots of small restaurants in nyc are in older buildings with plumbing issues so when you go into the restroom there is a sign that says "please do not flush toilet paper" right above a small trash can with a lid.

usually means right after reading the sign you turn right around and walk out the door.

not only found in dive restaurants and not a guarantee of getting a failing grade from the inspector.

personally I would prefer they simply lock the bathroom and not let anyone use it.

Vote them out of office. Period. Preferably in the primary. But even in the general if it comes to it. I used to think that any Republican is better then a dem. I now realize that is wrong. At least with a dem, you know who your opponent is and can work to replace them in the next election. But having a turncoat who routinely stabs you in the back, betrays your trust, sows dissent, and aides your enemies whenever he doesn't get his way is infinitely more dangerous than any democrat could ever pose.
Not everyone of course. But vote the GOPe bastards out. Even if it means voting for third party and temporarily giving the seat to the dem (If there's no other viable candidate, I'd personally write in Trump). We can always fight for that seat next time, and with an actual conservative candidate.

The only good thing I see is that, despite all of the deep state shenanigans going on to overtuen our votes, we actually ARE winning. And that's important to remember. John Boehner is out. Paul Ryan is out. Eric Cantor is out. The GOPe candidates were resoundingly rejected in the primary. Even with all of this mueller inquisition shit. It's only happening because they're losing power and are getting desperate.
Trump is draining the Swamp. He's dissembling the establishment's power structure that they've built up to enrich themselves. And their desperate actions are proof that we are winning.

332 Trump won by promising to do what real America wanted, promising to stop the DC (drug dealing, human trafficking, mob serving, treasonous, etc.) cartel.

Those in the NY/DC syndicate, the Cocktail Party, thought they had their globalist cartel in charge. NWO would be awesome, or maybe not, cuz the real insiders KNEW it was a full on sellout to the Elite Mobsters of ruthless mobsters.

Does EE know how corrupt his buddies are, or is he in a cult and doesn't care? Useful idiot, or full blown sell out to Evil? Doesn't matter -- they all have to go down hard. You are with justice and righteousness .. or you are against us. Choose this day whom you will serve.

(or as Bruce Willis would say, "welcome to the party, pal") if you are only now realizing how much of DC is organized globalist crime.

355 Great fun was back in the day, when the Soviet embassy personnel (low-level) shopped at that Safeway. Guys standing, staring at all their choices. Probably some language issues, plus guys, not their wives. But - mostly cuz Soviets, never really adjusting to the abundance of the failing capitalist system.

When I first returned to the US from many years in Europe, I was staggered by the choice in an American supermarket. We were used to four choices of spaghetti sauce. Now we had 72 choices (I counted 'em!). It was overwhelming.

When I hired a researcher from Russia in my department, I asked him about this. He said the first time he and his wife entered an American supermarket they were so overwhelmed by the choices that they left without buying anything.

359 "It is only to be offered, pursued and defended if it is politically advantageous to their own fortunes."

No - it is only to be offered and pursued if there is NO WAY it will happen.

Let's say I have issue X. issue X gets people riled up, it gets them to vote and turn out at the polls. All I have to do is say, if I'm elected, I will solve issue X.

Then I get into office. Do I want to solve issue X? because then, well, how will I get re-elected? What new issue X can I use? It is hard to find a good issue X. there are only so many.

Better yet is to have a prolonged and bloody fight over issue X. To come this close to solving it, then don't. Then I can go back and say "I am your warrior on issue X!"

And weirdly, you find in Washington, that the other side ALSO wants to prolong the argument over issue X indefinitely. Because they have the same drivers. Which works out great because both parties, have a tremendous incentive to do just enough to almost get their way, but not enough the issue is ever resolved.

Along comes Trump. he doesn't get the game - he gives exactly zero fucks if he is re-elected. he doesn't even have a salary. He plans on solving issue X once and for all. Suddenly everyone hates him - what the fuck, we need issue X! What are we supposed to do without it?

It is a lot like street naming - notice how politicians love renaming shit - bills, laws, roads, whatever, after people? Because it is also issue X - an issue that doesn't matter, but everyone gets a pat on the back for.

Don't you hate that?

It reminds me (albeit tangentially) of the time when I was much younger and I visited Finland. It was getting late, meaning just before what passes for sunset, when I happened upon two young native ladies in this little town near the beach. It was a quaint little coastal village from what little I remember of it.

What stands out in my memory was how they wore their hair so short. Usually, a young woman's long, flowing hair is a display of sensuality, but their necks were totally visible and totally appealing to my eyes. A gentle summer breeze was blowing in from the Baltic, and the pair approached me in a most friendly manner.

So anyway.

427 What all post-2016 politics is about revolves about a single concept:

shunning.

Originally defined as when a village deemed someone an outcast for committing an unforgivable cultural faux pas, such that everyone, without exception, was required to give the outcast the silent treatment, it has now become society-wide where all Trump opponents (whatever their party) are attempting to define all Trump supporters as outcasts. Untouchables.

But there's aYUGE problem with this strategy: Shunning only works when it's the near-unanimous majority shunning a single outcast (or at most a handful).

Shunning can't work when there are enough outcasts to converse among themselves are create their own subculture.

And it REALLY can't work when a MINORITY of the population is trying to shun the MAJORITY.

When that happens -- such as right now in American society -- the entire process becomes utterly comical, since the shunners are unwittingly casting THEMSELVES out of mainstream society. Which is exactly what the NeverTrumpers have done, in all their sophistication and genius.

428 We need term limits. That would end +90% of all corruption in our governments. Full stop.

2 six-year terms for the senate. 4 two-year terms for the house. A limit of 12 years total in congress regardless of chamber or seat.

Long time power corrupts. We have a deep state ruling class of unelected bureaucrats only because powerful politicians have been around in DC long enough to establish them.

Trump should announce his new mission to create term limits for congress. Imagine if he announced that he would only support congressmen who support term limits, and would specifically ask his supporters TO NOT VOTE for any candidate who refused to support them. Regardless of party.

Kind of like how these GOPe assholes told Republicans to not vote for Trump in the general. Except this would be for a noble cause, not some petty vengeance BS.

And yes, I do realize congress will never vote to limit itself. That's why Trump should also continually pressure governors to hold a constitutional convention to enact this policy. Governors are already term limited. What would they care anyway?

I really enjoyed coming back to the US. The grocery stores were great, things were open seven days a week (not all that common in Europe), the customer - not the employee - was king, people bag your groceries for you,* etc. Never mind some stuff being available 24/7. Forget that in Europe.

* I'll never forget when I first got there. I bought groceries, and the cashier asked me if I wanted bags. I did, so she pointed to a bunch on the floor. "There ya go, champ" was the implicit message. So I bent down, picked up a couple of bags, and bagged my own groceries (no biggie). Then she charged me for the bags.

Welcome to Europe.

453 We need term limits. That would end +90% of all corruption in our governments. Full stop.

Sadly, no. California has term limits, and the legislature is as corrupt as you could ever want.

Why? Because the miscreants the local retards vote into office KNOW when they're going to be out. So in the run up to being termed out, they propose sweetheart legislation - typically for some union, think tank, CPUSA cell - that will provide them with a sinecure. And all the other miscreants vote for it. Why? Because they know it's only a matter of time before they're in the same boat.

So term limits are a mechanical solution to a personnel problem.

Much better that they find out on election night that they're out on their asses.

The fundamental problem: a retarded electorate. And corrupt, Communist-infested media.

Said in jest, but that's exactly the attitude of the Reds, namely, to eliminate "wasteful competition." THAT'S going to be why socialism is so much more efficient.

Read early 20th century socialist tracts and novels, and that's the recurrent theme.

And literally no one in our elite was held responsible for any of it until Hillary was defeated. Imagine a child who from the ages of 6 to 26 is held responsible for nothing no matter what they do.

----

There are Biblical imperatives that require Believers to be concerned about the souls of others. For example:

Ezekiel 3:18-19 “When I say to a wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.” (NIV)

If you mean the Indian launch last night, it seems to be going well.

They launched a satellite two weeks ago where the launch went perfectly, but a couple of days later something went wrong with the satellite and the ground controllers lost contact with it.

heh. We had a local uber-Lib lawyer who was head of a local commission that I sat on. At one meeting, during an informal moment, he went on about much he liked Famous Grouse scotch.

I told him that he should exercise caution, and pointed out that the guy who assassinated Indira Gandhi had been drinking Famous Grouse before he went berserk.

There were satisfying guffaws around the table.

The guy was at a loss for words. Asshole.

611 What does Krak or anyone else imagine are the predicted or hoped-for geographical boundaries resulting from the increasingly-not unthinkable national suicide Uncle Abraham warned us about in 1838?

One part of a rump USA would have to include the interior middle, ie flyover country. But Red throughout flyover country are many Blues, just as there are small but entrenched Reds among the coastal Blues.

Also, how would the mostly-coastal state areas of Blue America even achieve much less perpetuate national integrity separated by several thousand miles of hostile Reds?

The USA will not fracture or Balkanize I dont think. But there will in this century be some kind of near-fatal bubble-popping knockdown that re-orders society in ways few people left alive from the Great Society Era will be able to imagine...as much or more so than the WW2 Effect that gave the bubble energy to grow mankind far beyond the solar system...but which will eventually pop.

The question is do we come out of it with society pointed towards Star Trek or Blade Runner?

Posted by: md at April 12, 2018 10:32 PM (L3WnE)

612 Blade Runner and Star Trek are actually the same thing. Star Trek represents pure Socialism when it is "finally done right". Blade Runner is no less totalitarian; but it's a corporation responsible for all the slave labor that runs everything.

In other words, one is pure leftist fantasy about what we can achieve when we all get on "the same page", where as the other is the more likely outcome of leftist one party rule.

"But Rusty, a corporation running everything is Fascism, which is clearly Right wing." Yeah, that's why every corporation virtue-signals to the left. Facebook, Microsoft, and big banks are so in the tank to lefty power structures, it's absurd to deny it. Also, remind me which party was pro-slavery. Oh, did I say "was"? Why do you think California billionaires love illegal immigrants so much?

614 Ace has noted that women don't like Trump very much. Because, well, how Trump acts.

Yet somehow, when those women decide to register their dislike of Trump by voting against the Republican in their local election, it becomes the GOP's fault.

Just like it was the GOP's fault that Christine O'Donnell lost in 2010 for Joe Biden's Senate seat, and not that an thoroughly unqualified candidate whose main campaign issue was '"I'm not a witch" isn't the kind of person you expect to win an election.
