ESPN's New Morning Sportscenter, Derided as "WokeCenter" By Clay Travis, Debuts to Ratings So Repellent That Kurt Eichenwald Wants to Google Them to Prove To His Wife These Ratings Exist
Clarification: No, the show isn't called WokeCenter (I assume). I assume it's Clay Travis' joke. I put it in quotes to suggest that this is a quote from someone else (Clay Travis, in this case).
I don't know what the show is called. It should be called WokeCenter, though. Sorry, this was written pretty poorly by me. Let me take another shot at it. ... Clay Travis just loves his life, goofin' on SJW ESPN.The Avengers run is coming to an end -- Iron Man and Captain America will be leaving the movie series, to be replaced by... Captain Marvel (wow!!!). Star Wars is now such a damaged brand that people can make more money on YouTube by goofing on the franchise than by hyping up the franchise (which many people used to do). And Disney's ESPN is Woke Toilet. Can't wait to see this company really humbled.
Yesterday ESPN debuted a brand new insanely expensive new WokeCenter AM show starring Mike Greenberg, Michelle Beadle and Jalen Rose. That trio of talent will be making just shy of $15 million a year and ESPN also poured tens of millions of dollars into their brand new studio as well. As if that weren’t enough ESPN also spent millions and millions of dollars promoting the new show and rolled out their entire marketing platform to ensure viewers were aware the show was launching. And, well, the show’s officially already ratings disaster. The show received tens of thousands fewer viewers than SportsCenter did last year on both ESPN and ESPN2. This means ESPN spent tens of millions of dollars to have less viewers than it did before this show even existed. Ratings were down double digits over the same time last year. How many viewers did WokeCenter AM have? It had only 283k viewers, which, I believe, makes it the lowest debut for a new ESPN show in the 21st century. WokeCenter AM! Just out here killing it. ... Again, this is the debut of the show on a Monday after Final Four weekend and after ESPN had spent millions and millions of dollars promoting.

And she's one of the few brave souls who left ESPN for big money, anchored a show that was supposed to help launch a competing network to relevance, got cancelled within a year, and came crawling back to the mothership a few years later.
Her only real success has been SportsNation on ESPN, and she launched that show with Colin Cowherd, so it's arguable how much of that was really her doing alone.

MLB.TV is actually pretty good. Their website sucks (too cluttered and busy) but on a Roku, the whole thing is a pleasure. You can watch all sorts of games, can time-shift, start and stop when you want, even choose between home and away coverage commentators, or radio announcers.
They just surveyed me, and I pretty much said the above. The only thing that would make it better? Choice of camera angles. With multiple computer monitors, how awesome would it be to have two different camera angles at the same time?

I've tried every conceivable angle to watch the Brew Crew. Sling, MLB TV, etc. We're too close to Milwaukee so we're excluded from any TV games because we're "in market". Believe me, I've tried everything else. It's either go to the games live (waaay too expensive) or go sit in a bar and watch. Cable was cheaper.

What you're thinking about, I think, is their decision to change the names of 3 and 4 from "Infinity War Part 1" and Infinity War Part 2 to something else -- I think it will be Infinity War and Infinity Gauntlet, or something else with "infinity." they do not want to suggest to people this is a part 1 and 2. Both films are stand-alones, in theory, but both are intimately connected.

Don't watch the games live: time-shift them. Just avoid learning the score (you can hide the scores on the Roku), and watch the game whenever you want. AND ... you can motor through the breaks in the action (between innings, pitching changes, etc.), thereby saving time.
For ~$115 a season, I think it's well worthwhile. And cable gets ... nada.

Swisher Sweets are bottom-of-the-barrel cheap-ass "cigars" rebranded and reconceptualized a few years ago by a very cynical cigar company to essentially be hollow joint-holders allowing potheads to smoke in public. Swisher Sweets are sold individually, and ghetto folks go to liquor stores, buy one, unwrap it, invariably throw the wrapper on the ground, and then (here's the crazy part) usually scoop out the low-grade flavored tobacco inside, empty it onto the sidewalk, and then stuff some pot inside the hollow cigar casing instead, and then walk around smoking it.
Anyone who lives in a big city sees Swisher Sweet wrappers littering the sidewalks around every corner store.
Michael Brown, of "hands up don't shoot" fame, had in fact just shoplifted a box of Swisher Sweets, which is why he was being arrested.
Basically, they are just expensive cigarette papers; instead of 99 cents for a packet of 20 Zigzags, people spend $1.39 for a single Swisher Sweet, just to avoid the need to actually roll your own joint.
Anyway, here in California, as of 4 months ago, smoking marijuana is now legal -- so there's no longer any need to "disguise" your joint inside a tiparillo. I had naively thought that the one upside to pot legalization would be that it would cut down on the massive Swisher Sweet Litter Problem, since there would no longer be any need to buy Swisher Sweets.
AND YET -- four months into the Legalization Era, and Swisher Sweet litter is worse than ever!
Why? Why are people still buying Swisher Sweets when they don't need to? Are they addicted to the "convenience" of a pre-made joint wrapper, despite it costing 50x what a rolling paper would cost?

I did look into Sling for our college football games, but unfortunately, we're in market for my team, so all our games are on ESPN and blocked on Sling. I didn't watch hardly any games last year. (Didn't miss much...) We could get the channel with all of my husband's team's games though.

The only rational alternative would be each and every channel offer their own monthly subscription services via online streaming.
At best, you'd end up paying a fortune for everything, and you'd have dozens of individual apps cluttering up your phone or streaming box.
At worst, you'd end up paying for bundles from media corporations who've packaged together all of their individual channels, or third party providers like Amazon, who give you things you never asked for as part of their Prime service.

Most of these churches are proud to publicize the fact that they're giving aid and comfort to the invading illegals. That is more than probable cause and enough to justify cops going in there any time, at all. Public admission (and pride) of criminal behavior is more like the cops being in hot pursuit than your usual need for warrants to invade the private property of one who is still assumed innocent.

I could not disagree more with this.
Running crimes from inside a church is bad enough, but giving aid and comfort to an invading enemy is plain treason and I have no qualms about going after an enemy church. Send in 10 SWAT teams. Then shut the church and assess them back taxes for all the time they engaged in their treasonous actions.
I have no tolerance for traitors. I don't care what they're wearing and what they think they can hide behind.

The etymology of the phrase is traced back to Aurthurian Lore. Huckleberry Garlands were said to be given to Knights of the Kingdom for coming to the
service of a damsel. They would approach the lady, lower their lance,
and receive the small branch as a symbol of gratitude; much like a
medal.
Therefore, "I'm Your Huckleberry" literally means "I'm your Hero."
In current adaptaions, in reference to the movie Tombstone, it means "I'm your man." as an affirmative response to a challenge.
