We're now hitting levels of Peak Eichenwald that aren't even theoretically possible.
Yesterday, Eichenwald wrote a very, very sane screed claiming that... oh, you know, claiming all the things very very sane people routinely claim. This began when Eichenwald insulted Parkland survivor Kyle Kaschuv, claiming he was capable of nothing more than "insult" and "conspiracy theories" before taking that back and claiming he had Kyle Kaschuv mixed up with someone else entirely. We still don't know who this other person Eichenwald confused Kyle Kaschuv with. But very very sane people always mix up real life people with people who may or may not exist. Now Eichenwald is claiming there's a wide-ranging and intricate conspiracy against him to make him look foolish, as very very sane people routinely do. Leader of this conspiracy? My earnest, straightforward approach worked. Eichenwald responded without threatening to destroy my life or anything. He thinks shadowy forces somehow associated with child sex trafficking are attempting to destroy his reputation and--with it--his personal life and career. He genuinely believes this. I found it incredibly sad because there's a hint under all that crazy of the guy who made it to the big leagues in a very competitive profession.

Honestly though, this is another lie. If you're a contractor, you know when your contract ends and if you're expecting a new contract to start, or your old contract to be extended, you follow up on that with your manager BEFORE your contract ends. Then you verify again when the date comes.
At the very least, you should be able to figure things out when your passwords no longer work.

My thanks to the Tribe! I woke up yesterday morning with a nasty sore throat and a nose practicing of the Olympics, not to mention low temp and BP. Along about noon I remembered "Jewish penicillin" and found a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup in the food stash I rarely touch, and devoured it.
This morning I was down to a very mild headache and much less runny nose (still having to honk, but nowhere near as often). My thanks!
