Spokesmoppets Gone Wild: David "Camera" Hogg Claims Marco Rubio's Cost-Per-Murder; The New Yorker Praises Emma Gonzelez as a New Joan of Arc
Oh, first of all, as some of you have pointed out (which I didn't hear until Charlie Brown's Implement sent me the tip): David "Camera" Hogg says he wasn't even at the school during the shooting, but "raced" there on his bike to get as much, get this, camera footage as possible when he heard about it on the news.
Update/Retraction: Hogg didn't say he wasn't at the school -- that was a conclusion I made when I heard him say he "raced to the school" on his bike. I didn't consider the possiblity that he had been at the school, then left the school, the raced back with his camera-- which is what reportedly happened, with Hogg re-arriving at the school at 6pm. I'll have a full post up today all about this retraction, but I wanted to note it here in the original post. All the post's further claims about Hogg's whereabouts during the shooting should be ignored/considered erroneous. Back to the original (but retracted on this point) post: I previously questioned where he was during the shooting, wondering how close to danger he'd actually been. I wondered this because, despite the media's flood-the-zone coverage, they'd entirely skipped the easy (and important) story about where the spokesmoppets were during the attack. Put up a map of the school, show the spokesmoppets' location compared to the killer's. Easy content -- and yet they hadn't bothered. Hmmm. Wonder why. When the media refrains from running an easy, clickbait story, it's because they're deliberately hiding something from the reader. Turns out, he wasn't there at all. He has as much moral authority to speak about this as anyone else who viewed it on TV. a composite bow will have different parts made of different materials. Like (don't quote me) the center part might be of rigid horn while the arms are more flexible wood.
Also I think gluing some animal skin or something on the back of the bow (to store elastic energy) makes it composite.

Except the CNN story is that he was huddling inside during the shooting. There is footage of him say, "no we are outside," as if to continue the story, but he has footage of him huddling in a building, interviewing students, who are not at all scared or seemingly distressed, one girl interviewee saying that her 'heartfelt plea' sounded better in her head, and hogg coaching that they need more diversity (of e.g., colored people's opinions).
It's possible he was in another location, got released, ran home to get camera, and then showed on scene where the real survivors were, and then just rolled with the narrative that he was some sort of "survivor" of no real, present, or imminent threat.
That sounds like the most likely outcome of all the seemingly inconsistent pieces.

'75 to '78. First 2 years at a local CC, transferred directly into the business school. Worked a job and got a 3.7, then the UW for nearly 3 years. Got out alive. And no, I'm not admitting to anything else, lucky for me there were no cell phone cameras then, and film was expensive.

I think this episode has about petered out. Hogg and Emma have let the power go to their heads, and it's really showing now. That has to turn off even some of the people who support their platform.
