1 Good Morning Morons; today is Saturday, March 17, 2018. St Patrick's day. On this day in 1960 President Eisenhower signed the National Security Council directive on the anti-Cuban covert action program that lead to the Bay of Pigs Invasion.

Maybe, but the article conflicts with itself

The most important thing to realize about microwaves is that their heat
does not always kill bacteria, because microwaves heat from the outside
in instead of the inside out. As such, certain bacteria-prone reheated
foods will have higher risk of causing sickness when these bacterial
cells survive. Bearing this in mind, you can see why chicken, which isat risk of salmonella contamination, could be a dangerous food to microwave.

20 It's your last day at work.
Finally. Retirement is here.
You get in at regular time, and already the Happy Retirement balloons are up and the donuts are on the table in the middle of the office. Smiles from your fellow workers. What a lucky guy. Gets to retire early and have all that time to fish, and enjoy his family.
You're sweating though. You expect a phone call at anytime. Whenever the phone does ring, your insides jump a little. You hesitate, but you answer.
An invite from the third floor group for cake and coffee. Whew! I'll be right there.
Lunch with some friends. Their eyes look downwards. Do they know something? The meal ends and you scurry to your office and close the door. Safe at last. You peck away at the computer to make it look as if you have important last minute things to attend to.
Phew. It's five o'clock. Time for drinks with the fellas and smack some secretaries on the ass.
I's about 8:30 when you get home with a couple of drinks and some Blooming Onion laying heavy on your stomach. Why does Jerry always order that damn thing? Why do I always eat the damn thing?
You sit back in the chair and catch up on the NCAA games. A couple of Tums and a warm ginger ale should settle the stomach enough to get to sleep. It'll be a great retirement! There's those books I've been meaning to read. That shelf I was always going to put up. Oh yeah, maybe learn to play piano.

It does not matter if the heat is from the inside, outside, or from the moon, as long as the entirety of the meat in question is heated to the proper temperature. When death comes for the bacteria, it does not question the heat's provenance.

Didn't even have the time. like most of the retirees do, to go out and say goodbye to some of the people in the factory. No donuts. No lunch. No drinks.

37 Yeah the Ramirez cartoon is funny as hell.

The gun seizure is a bit disturbing, but if everyone is handcuffed then how would you stop a school shooter?

So he's involuntarily committed for now; I assume for 72 hours. If TPTB at the mental joint decide he's no danger to himself or others, they have to let him go. Then we see how long it takes for his gun rights and guns to be restored to him.

45 Sessions can be frustratingly slow. But by waiting and GETTING the FBI's own Office of Professional Responsibility to state he needed firing NOW Sessions made it bulletproof. McCabe and his lawyer were playing beat the clock and they lost. OPR used the Inspector General information (and you can be certain that OIG did NOT give them everything on Handy Andy) so this is just the beginning for Comey's fellow traveler and ass kisser. McCabe's furious "statement" should be studied by psychiatrists in the bizarre rationalizations and sociopathy.

Sessions and Trump are using the bureacracy AGAINST the bureacracy. By using the Swamp's love of pensions against them is brilliant.

48 Colleges and high schools have become places to go and learn to give up God given rights and take the rights of others.
Campuses routinely block Christian groups, anti-abortion post, and fraternities. The rights of free thought and speech is many times limited to a postage stamp size place with hours that make NYC parking seem logical.
Now the rage for high schoolers is to take self-defence away from law abiding people while surrendering (most seem not to want armed police or something) their own rights to self-defence.
We have become a nation that focuses on trying to limit what other can say or do vs. focusing on free will and choice.

56 In a stunning bit of news, the envirogreenies have sided with Ted Cruz etal in overhauling/gutting the Renewable Fuel Standard:

https://preview.tinyurl.com/ybqqckbd

Green groups were among the loudest champions for the federal government's sweeping ethanol mandate a decade ago, touting it as a near-magic fuel that could help ease a climate crisis.

But the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) that boosted ethanol use has fallen out of favor so badly that environmentalists now see themselves on the same side of the debate as Republicans such as Sen. Ted Cruz, arguing that the entire program is deeply flawed and must be completely overhauled.

Uh-huh. Had a job way back when - decent job, but no advancement opportunities, little support from management and coworkers - just had enough. Decided to quit and start a business. My boss was a decent guy, and we worked out the succession to my duties. In effect, I gave 5 months' notice.

OK, then - five months to train my successor. She was ready, willing and able, except for the willing part. In five months, I trained her for a total of maybe 20 minutes. Told her and Boss that on such-and-such day, I will be unavailable.

On D-day, I left.

A week later, I got a call for successor, asking for help. OK. Then call #2, during which I reluctantly helped. Then Call #3: "Are you busy?" "Yes." "I just have a question." "Can't answer it now." "But I neeeed..."

Then call #4. I said put Boss on the phone. We need to discuss my fee.

End of calls.

67 53 Hah, the 2018 Shelby GT350 MSRP was $49,900. So I expect that 2019 GT500 will be a lot more.

There is a dealer up in Michigan (I think) that sells the 5.0 with the Roush supercharger for about 37k out the door. Makes about 550 to 600 HP.

putting in a Holley carb. Just for the sound of that incredible whine
when you punched it for a couple seconds. Hold the throttle down more
then that and you were doing 100 mph.

Not the fastest car I ever rode in though. That honor goes to an idiot friend who had acid dipped a Chevy Nova and stuck something like a 396 in the thing. I rode in that thing once and shit a brick. At 100 mph plus his exhaust system/headers started coming loose and sparks were flying about 100 feet back of the car.

A Democrat friend of mine told me last night that ever since Trump's election there has been a palpable sense of depression among all his friends and relations. I realized something: their impression of Trump's America is like mine of Obama's time. The difference is, I said, is that under Trump we have a booming economy and foreign policy progress all over the place. Minorities especially are benefiting. Even Democrats are doing better. Under Obama everything stunk, except Vladimir noticed much greater flexibility.

Why the depression?

Loss of control. Progressives both love to control and want to be controlled. It is a way to escape free will and reason. Plus the control tends to spread misery that then help to convert other the the progressive side. Just look at Obamacare. They goal was to help about 10 million people out of 330 million. So the were already about 70 million on medicaid so going to 80 m was what 15% more? Nope, they had to change everyones plans. So 330 million got an extra helping of misery to appease the 10.

They see life as a zero sum game. If someone is getting ahead, or is happy, (or even getting a tax cut) it subtracts from their own advancement and happiness.

So they seek to inflict their unhappiness on the rest of us so that they can advance in some implausible way.

151 They see life as a zero sum game. If someone is getting ahead, or is happy, (or even getting a tax cut) it subtracts from their own advancement and happiness.

So they seek to inflict their unhappiness on the rest of us so that they can advance in some implausible way.

Toxic people. No better phrase. Mentally ill most likely.

Amidst his other examples of being a complete retard, like not knowing why auto insurance exists, Cock Curious was easily the most ignorant President we've ever had regarding how the economy works, which it barely did under him. McRINO was surely just as bad but at least had a wealthy wife to correct his obvious dumbfuckery. Mooch was no help in that regard.

153 And Powers, Jarrett, and the BHO regime was one big pack or lies,
falsehood, and leaks. And Progressives think these are great people.
------------

Just look at Obamacare. They goal was to help about 10 million people
out of 330 million. So the were already about 70 million on medicaid so
going to 80 m was what 15% more? Nope, they had to change everyones
plans. So 330 million got an extra helping of misery to appease the 10.
=======================

Progressives do in fact think the Zoobama crowd were honorable and did great things, and they do in fact think Obamacare is/was a wonderful thing to do for the country. The fact that it impacted the economy and every single individual, while providing little actual benefit is skipped right over.

Part of the problem is Progressives see completely different news than we see. My friend is largely unaware of all the Obama scandals, for example. Progressives discount what little they do hear as partisan noise from the right.

This is what I realized last night, talking to my friend: We really do live in different realities from each other, even if we only a couple of houses apart in the same town.

No idea what to do about that.

158 My first car was a 1961 TBird with 29k original miles. Got it in 1972. My grandma's (dad's side) eyesight was failing, and I was the oldest grandkid. I was 15. She had a small garage and scraped both sides. I did the body work myself, and got it painted professionally. Got my license the day I turned 16.

That Bird kicked ass 390v-8 4 bbl carb, leather bucket seats, and was heavy as hell. But once it got over 50 mph, it could kick anything. True story, I beat a '67 Vette going up a hill. Truth is I was pretty damned drunk and probably should have been killed that night. But no, humanity was not spared and the world has had to put up with me to this day.

And gas was cheap back then. Otherwise it would have sat in the driveway. Good times. Good memories.

I love the six speed manual on my 2005 G35 Infiniti. However, modern muscle cars with automatics accelerate faster and get better fuel economy than the same cars equipped with manual transmissions. Sad fact - but true.

Its why not too many people carry revolvers today - the automatics are generally a better choice.

Not saying I married her to get the car, but I also was pretty excited about this particular side-benefit. Unfortunately my mother in law got tired of us leaving it in her driveway (we lived in NYC at the time and couldn't afford to garage it), so she gave it away to a cousin.

How do you reheat raw meat?

Why is it most authors of articles seem to know less about a subject than the average person off the street?

222 I don't understand why Hillary is covering up her broken wrist with that weird long sleeve. Everyone knows she broke it in a fall. Is she that vain, that she can't tell the truth........Yes.

She and Slick just lie about everything, even when they don't have to; it's their defining characteristic. Christopher Hitchens wrote a book about it "No one Left to Lie To" iirc.

I'm waiting for my kids to go to college (16 years to go...) so I can finally get the two-seater sports car I've always dreamed of. Hubby says he will build me a Miata with a Chevy V8 (Corvette engine). Gives you the power to weight ratio of a go kart :-) In the meantime, I'm stuck with practicality.

Is it just her wrist?
Maybe the broken wrist story is a simplified version of her arm injury/ailment. I think she's been hiding other health issues - and using her loose, tent-like clothing to hide them.

It's the reason she visited India.

It's reported that several small New Delhi street orphans disappeared up that sleeve during her visit.

She'll return when the hunger strikes again.

251 131 They see life as a zero sum game.

That in summation is what the Lord's tenth commandment is about.
