"[REDACTED] suggested a social setting with others would probably be better than a one on one meeting," Strzok told Page. "I'm sorry, I'm just going to have to invite you to that cocktail party." As I had said from the beginning of this whole thing - the FISA judges were part of this whole scheme. The idea that the FISC court was duped by the FBI and DOJ was sort of silly from the beginning. I don't know what to say about Sessions anymore. Most days I want him gone and I can't figure out what he is doing.
But I think he had NO IDEA how bad this all was and he's drowning in it. Just like how Trump and his family had no idea how vile and vicious the attacks would be on him, Sessions might be in over his head, yes, but he's in deep now.
If he's fired, do we start all over again? Lose time while elections are being held?

Nothing is going to happen. Why? Because 48% of America still thinks Trump colluded with RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA. They don't see how dirty all of this is. They want PDT gone BAMN. Even if it is illegal, immoral and/or treasonous.
As for the another 40-45% of America - Get up in the morning, go to work, go home to watch ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN news, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and go to bed. Rinse and repeat. They don't care about any of this because it isn't directly impacting them, their job or their family.

I doubt McCabe will be fired. If Sessions was going to fire him, why would he wait until the last possible moment. From Sessions point of view, why would that be advantageous? The reason it looks like it is going down to the wire is there are no plans to fire McCabe.

After considering it I don't think we should have a service on Good Friday. I'm not in favor a luncheon either (I was going to prepare that; It was nothing the congregation would do) . We have so few people who attend and an evening service wouldn't work either.
I told her that if she felt that it was to much to do Friday and Sunday she don't have to-that the pianist would play Good Friday.
I am very glad I am about to go on retreat.

What it really means is that even federal agents who are honest can't do anything about the corruption. It means that there is no hope for the law to be administered with even a whiff of fairness.
I never thought I would say this, but this country is going to be doing some serious shape-shifting unless honest law enforcement stands up to it.
Because once it starts, law enforcement will NOT be able to stop it.

I know this thread is way past its sell-by date, but in case you come back to look, I will give you the unfortunate reality:
As a Federal Agent, I have certain powers granted by the appropriate authorities, including the authority to make arrests without a warrant. That authority is pretty much limited to crimes committed in my presence.
Any arrest I make, warrant or not, only has weight if backed by the US Attorney's Office, DOJ, or another prosecutorial body. It has no weight without this.
Based on what I have read, from Hannity and others, I would love to be present to put cuffs on these bastards. But what Hannity has, while compelling, is not evidence. It is a story. It is very possibly (probably?) true. But evidence does actually require procedure (yeah, yeah :-) ). Leaks are hearsay at best. Transcripts of text messages pulled from the internet, without a chain of evidence leading back to the actual source, is inadmissible.
I hope to God that someone is looking at charging these people, but hopping in my car and driving to FBI HQ (with a stop at Fox to pick up Hannity's "evidence") to lock up McCabe, Strock, and Page, while satisfying, would probably just result in my own arrest for false imprisonment.
As much as this explanation sucks, there is a good reason why we don't have the unlimited powers of arrest that you wished for in your post (What these FBI execs did was horrendous- think about what these bastards could have done with THAT power.)
