Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Federalist: Judge Who Presided Over Michael Flynn's Guilty Plea, And Then Mysteriously Recused Himself, Was Friends With Peter Strzok; Strzok and Page Conspired to Arrange Dinner Parties Where They Could Talk to Judge Without Alerting Others to TheirWe're gonna need a bigger special counsel. And these emails were hidden and never disclosed to Congress. Hmmm. I wonder why. How the Federalist got them I don't know, but it might have something to do with the IG investigation.Newly discovered text messages obtained by The Federalist reveal two key federal law enforcement officials conspired to meet with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) judge who presided over the federal case against Michael Flynn. The judge, Rudolph Contreras, was recused from handling the case just days after accepting the guilty plea of President Donald Trump's former national security adviser who was charged with making false statements to federal investigators. The text messages about Contreras between controversial Department of Justice lawyer Lisa Page and Peter Strzok... were deliberately hidden from Congress, multiple congressional investigators told The Federalist. ... The pair even schemed about how to set up a cocktail or dinner party just so Contreras, Strzok, and Page could speak without arousing suspicion that they were colluding. Strzok expressed concern that a one-on-one meeting between the two men might require Contreras' recusal from matters in which Strzok was involved. "[REDACTED] suggested a social setting with others would probably be better than a one on one meeting," Strzok told Page. "I'm sorry, I'm just going to have to invite you to that cocktail party." "Have to come up with some other work people cover for action," Strzok added. "Why more?" Page responded. "Six is a perfectly fine dinner party."See the Federalist for more. For some reason, when these emails were turned over to Congress, all the information about Contreras and the dinner-party cover story were redacted. I wonder if a high-level official at the FBI or DOJ was responsible for this deliberate withholding of information from Congress. More from Sara A. Carter, including longer text exchanges between Strzok and Page. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

The reason they weren't turned over? An investigation was already ongoing within the IG's office...and you don't hand over evidence to an outside party when you are trying to track down the cabal of players. The release of these messages tells me that this particular part of the investigation has concluded, and it is safe to let this info out into the public.
This goes right to the FISA abuse investigation that Sessions already alluded to starting with an outside prosecutor, most likely months ago,' in addition to whatever else the IG has uncovered and handed over to DOJ as he finds out more criminal actions. This is not a 'cover up,' but a slow reveal of what has already been discovered and most likely included in evidence at the Grand Jury level or will be within the IG's report with recommendations for prosecution. Michael Flynn. Extorted into a guilty plea over FBI questioning. Prosecutors misrepresented FBI assessment of that questioning. Mueller withheld exculpatory evidence from defense. And, now, it appears the Judge was part of the coup cabal.

Do you really think Mueller would look over all the people in the FBI and then pick out the ones who are the most duplicitous? No. I am sure Mueller sent a missive over to McCabe: send me some FBI investigators to help me with Russia. And McCabe chose his closest allies and partners in crime. Newly discovered text messages obtained by The Federalist reveal two key federal law enforcement officials conspired to meet with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) judge who presided over the federal case against Michael Flynn.
As I had said from the beginning of this whole thing - the FISA judges were part of this whole scheme. The idea that the FISC court was duped by the FBI and DOJ was sort of silly from the beginning. THey all colluded in this ... conspired, I guess, is the more appropriate term. And what they conspired in are some of the worst crimes government officials can commit. But I think he had NO IDEA how bad this all was and he's drowning in it. Just like how Trump and his family had no idea how vile and vicious the attacks would be on him, Sessions might be in over his head, yes, but he's in deep now. If he's fired, do we start all over again? Lose time while elections are being held? Or, is he really doing his job. We heard he had an outside prosecutor. And it's quite possible he's waiting on the OIG report. But I'll never forgive him for recusing himself. Especially if he quoted the wrong law to do it. That is how green he was. One thing Donald Trump understands better than anyone else involved in this whole kerfuffle -- reality TV. He understands the concept of how things play out, when to reveal what, and how to reveal what, and -- most importantly -- unexpected and last-minute-inserted plot twists. I'd be shocked if Trump didn't, at some level, view the whole thing through the prism of how he would play it out as a reality TV show.

See: Fawkes, Guy I don't want us to return to those days when we did this. " Let me remind you of the execution of Damiens after his unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Louis the Fifteenth. Remember how Damiens died, how gentle the guillotine is compared to his torture. It lasted four hours while the crowd goggled and Cassanova at an upper window felt under the skirts of the ladies watching. His chest, arms, thighs and calves were slit open, they burnt off his hands, tied rope to his arms and legs, harnessed four horses to him and geed them up, and he wouldn't come apart, until they sawed through his shoulders and hips. At the end he hung there, a bloody torso with a nodding head, just groaning and staring at the crucifix which the father confessor was holding up to him. After considering it I don't think we should have a service on Good Friday. I'm not in favor a luncheon either (I was going to prepare that; It was nothing the congregation would do) . We have so few people who attend and an evening service wouldn't work either. I've been a federal agent (not FBI) for 20+ years. This is jaw dropping. This is "hang from the neck until dead" jaw dropping. These fucks conspired to overthrow an elected president. OK, I'll ask. You have a badge and a gun, and authorized to arrest felons. Why don't you do it? Hannity has already collected the evidence to convict. Yeah, yeah, procedures, etc. What it really means is that even federal agents who are honest can't do anything about the corruption. It means that there is no hope for the law to be administered with even a whiff of fairness. I never thought I would say this, but this country is going to be doing some serious shape-shifting unless honest law enforcement stands up to it. Because once it starts, law enforcement will NOT be able to stop it. Posted by: LeftCoast Dawg at March 16, 2018 05:35 PM (UsCnO) 569

Can't wait to read the IG's report. Is there anybody in the FBI/DOJ who's not a thoroughly corrupt liar and cheat? The front desk switchboard operator? The weekend janitor? Posted by: LeftCoast Dawg at March 16, 2018 05:36 PM (UsCnO) 570
These people would make good targets for North Korean poison gas attacks.

I know this thread is way past its sell-by date, but in case you come back to look, I will give you the unfortunate reality: As a Federal Agent, I have certain powers granted by the appropriate authorities, including the authority to make arrests without a warrant. That authority is pretty much limited to crimes committed in my presence. Any arrest I make, warrant or not, only has weight if backed by the US Attorney's Office, DOJ, or another prosecutorial body. It has no weight without this. Based on what I have read, from Hannity and others, I would love to be present to put cuffs on these bastards. But what Hannity has, while compelling, is not evidence. It is a story. It is very possibly (probably?) true. But evidence does actually require procedure (yeah, yeah :-) ). Leaks are hearsay at best. Transcripts of text messages pulled from the internet, without a chain of evidence leading back to the actual source, is inadmissible. I hope to God that someone is looking at charging these people, but hopping in my car and driving to FBI HQ (with a stop at Fox to pick up Hannity's "evidence") to lock up McCabe, Strock, and Page, while satisfying, would probably just result in my own arrest for false imprisonment. As much as this explanation sucks, there is a good reason why we don't have the unlimited powers of arrest that you wished for in your post (What these FBI execs did was horrendous- think about what these bastards could have done with THAT power.) Conspiracy to Defraud the United States. Obstruction of Justice. That's for starters.
