Will Sessions Fire McCabe's Ass?

As the Washington Consensus gets ready to ignore the Inspector General's report, speculation increases that Sessions will actually fire McCabe.

The Department of Justice’s inspector general could soon release his expected explosive report detailing a more than yearlong review of the FBI and DOJ's Hillary Clinton investigation -- an effort that has already put top FBI official Andrew McCabe and his pension in jeopardy.

Over the last year, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been reviewing the FBI and DOJ’s actions related to its investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

Horowitz has told lawmakers he is aiming to release the report in the "March, April time period."

On Wednesday, fresh evidence emerged that Horowitz may be winding down his efforts. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is considering firing McCabe over the findings in Horowitz’s review, sources said.

21 No, Sessions will allow him to retire, because the report is not out yet...

ie... the clock will run out and THEN Sessions can say... just like a lot of other lawlessness... that his hands are tied... because the report came out too late.

Just like the Hillary email crap... or the pay for play of the Clinton Foundation (where the Fed Statute of Limitations has already expired..)...

They are investigating long enough to run out the clock...

22 Not only should McCabe be fired and his pension zeroed out, but the federal government should go after him to return all pay he received while he was allegedly working for the DOJ but, instead, using his position to aid and abet a criminal - and all the pay he received after that, too.

I know it will never happen but that is how people who abuse their power in government should be treated. In addition to having the book thrown at him in criminal court.

At this point the bold move would be not firing McCabe. His own FBI has recommended he be fired, Horowitz is going to drop even bigger bombs on him in the next couple weeks and Trump not to mention the rest of right leaning America would go apeshit if he isn't fired.

If Sessions doesn't fire McCabe then Trump will can Sessions so win-win.

Well ... then lucky for us ... we continue to insist on more and more power for those who volunteer to enforce the decrees of such a system.

It's two opposed notions .... the mistrust of a Corrupt Judiciary that decrees a flawed process - yet a Fully Weaponized Police that enforces the process.

The answer is not Anarchy ... not even No Police ... as many Lifelong Lovers of Law Enforcement will immediately shout - to discredit my claim without actually addressing it. You know - the same way Progressives "argue".

But the answer is most certainly Less Police - to be less able to enforce the corrupt will of the Judiciary. Because, until we find something besides Man to fill the Judiciary ... the Judiciary will always be Corrupt.

Been only to Oahu and Kauai.

Loved Kauai, lots of different micro-climates on one island. Stunningly beautiful. Not so developed as Maui. Drive in opposite directions and you cannot believe it is the same island.

But that was a decade ago. Probably a lot has changed.

Think back to any so-called investigative event and the only people who face "justice" are Republicans.

Sandy Berger literally stole and destroyed documents from the national archives to protect Clinton all that happened was that he lost his security clearence and paid a fine.

John Corzine literally stole 1 billion dollars and nothing happened to him.

Scooter Libbey misremembered what he said to a reporter and got 18 months in PMITAFP.

Posted by: Don Quixote... at March 15, 2018 08:31 PM (NgKpN)

You'll never achieve it ... with the Federal empowered at the current levels. The States would have to be able to swarm them - quite literally, and quite easily, to effect any change.

And, as the people of Wisconsin found out during the John Doe raids, you'll never keep State Power in check unless the Citizenry can swarm them in turn.

This notion that you can have a Strong Yet Fair Government is contradicted by human nature. Man is not Fair by nature ... but he'll try if faced with overwhelming consequences.

Why would our current Government not act Progressively ? They've been named the Elite !!! Willingly ceded power - by us - to use over us - supposedly for our own good. If that's not Progressivism - I don't know what is.

Without that Overwhelming Power - beginning at the Citizenry - the Constitution is just a bunch of words on paper. Signifying a nice idea ... easily ignored. Like now.

Posted by: Insomniac - Nowhere Man at March 15, 2018 08:53 PM (NWiLs)

299 So let me understand this PA-18 thing. Trump beat The Beast there by 19-points. The past rep ran unopposed and got about 294K votes.

Lamb (+627) and Saccone got a total of 227K votes between them, meaning that they combined got almost 23% fewer votes than a guy who ran unopposed 15-months ago. This tells me a couple of things...

1) Saccone's GOTV operation sucked. Utterly. Catastrophically. He barely pulled-in 38% of the votes of a guy who ran fucking unopposed in the most recent election. Dreadful.
2) Too many people in this country think of voting as a once every 2-4 year event. I know that we morons are the odd ones in that we actually follow this shit. But seriously, if you can't be bothered to show-up for what everyone acknowledges is a competitive special election with everything else going on? Do us all a favor and stay the fuck home from now on.
3) For all of Lamb's self-congratulatory GOTV rhetoric, he barely pulled-in half of The Beast's votes from the district. Any reasonably competent GOP candidate with a non-dreadful ground-game beats him by double-digits.

So my takeaways are that this is a bad loss for the GOPe and the President - there is simply no way to spin it. This one is frankly worse than Alabama because Moore was known to be a chronic under-performer in statewide elections and had the combined weight of the entire MSM on his case (and just where did all of Judge Moore's accusers go the day after the election, I wonder...)

By all rights Saccone should have won this race, easily. The weather was not a problem. He was a reasonably well known state rep and a not-awful reputation as a legislator. All he needed to do was pull-in half of Murphy's votes from a race he ran unopposed and he beats the fresh-face, pro-2A, pro-biz, anti-abortion so-called moderate Democrat by over 30k votes - which would be what you would expect of a guy who ran a lax campaign in a safe district.

But he lost, because he ran an awful campaign and for whatever reason roughly 175k or so people who voted for DJT 15-months ago didn't see any reason to show up and try to keep that seat in GOPe hands.

Alabama should have been a wake-up call, obviously it wasn't. If this doesn't scare the shiite out of Ryano and DJT then frankly they deserve to lose in November. We don't deserve it, but they do.

Still chicken scratch compared to a self-admitted broke middle aged couple from AR originally, now living in NY, that control 2 Billion dollars, and not a single peep from Law asking how they got it.

Not a single effing peep.

And who was the head of the FBI while all this happened? The one who ignored an undercover agent with copies of emails, videos, taped conversations, Russian money and other foreign government big bucks flowing into their coffers for SIX years and still filed zero charges?

Robert Mueller. Crooked, traitorous Robert Mueller.

342 He works just 21 years and his pension equals about 1/3 of his current salary. Which he can expect to collect for the next 34 years based on life expectancy.

When i retire after 41 years with 1 fortune 500 size company, my pension will be about 1/7 of my final salary which I'd expect to collect for about 18 years based on life expectancy.

iow, his pension payout is 3 times as big as mine, earned in half the time.

I don't know where the country most of y'all talk about ever was.

I graduated high school in '90 ... and I grew up poor as shit. Wasn't anybody's fault - but you see things. Law has never been applied equally. And I never got in trouble. But saw plenty get away with shit and others punished simply according to class.

By the time I got out of college, the FBI was shooting wives and sons in Idaho, burning down compounds in WACO. Yet, whenever Republicans got in charge, the answer to everything was more of what made the problem in the first place.

I tell you folks - and you don't want to hear it - and that's cool. But I'll tell you all the same ...

... Republicans make their own problems. Democrats don't beat you. You beat yourselves ... by continuing to give your opposition the tools to enforce their will upon you.

Gotta' make a beer run. I'm sure you're disappointed.

I think he's been planning to do it all along. He's an old school process guy and he was going to do things by the book.

Now he has the IG report, the Congressional Committee reports and the outside prosecutor who he appointed months ago but didn't announce looking at all the stuff that has been uncovered and can make a clear case for a special counsel and overcome the noise from the left and the media.

This is the way investigations are supposed to work, quietly and behind the scenes and not in the media.

Anyway, there were lots of power outages due to downed trees and so forth.

Last week while driving home from work I saw about a half dozen electric utility trucks heading for the PA turnpike entrance. They were Chain Electric, and I looked them up and saw they are based in MS, LA, and TX. They were on their way back home.

Thanks, Chain Electric! It's very cool how electric utilities assist each other in emergencies. I'm sure PECO trucks go to Florida after hurricanes.

390 Sadly, any kind of "organized militia" will fail before it gets started. Intercepted communications (and that's a guarantee), will doom it to fail.

Motivated individuals rallied to the Cliven Bundy Standoff, and more or less "self-organized" once on-site. And, it worked.

Now, I don't have the magic to know how to elicit a similar response to less visible provocations, such as now flows through the Injustice Department.

But it's going to take those heavily armed Flash Mobs, with the gumption and staying power to see it through, once assembled.

I think though, if we can get the above awareness and readiness to act, percolating throughout our side of the population, then we'll increase our odds of success, once the balloon(s) go up.

'Cause once it starts, Teh Fed is gonna wanna stomp on it (us) HARD, wherever we may arise.

The only response to that? They wanna play Whack a Mole... we'll have to show 'em what ten million pissed-off, highly motivated moles looks like.

No further Commission is needed, than a fresh, loud and clear reading of the Declaration of Independence.
