In WA state, when DNR made us remove the dock from the river front property, they sent out Code Enforcement and three city cops with bullet proof vests to tell us that we could not dismantle the pile driver that'd we'd used to take down the dock. DNR wanted to charge us for something. Code Enforcement threatened to write us up. We were on the phone with our lawyer and he asked us to find out exactly what code the guy was enforcing. We haven't heard from him since. We are both in our sixties, so the cops were overkill. We were afraid they would shoot our dogs, of course.

257 "In sum, we hold that the District's ban on handgun possession in the home violates the Second Amendment, as does its prohibition against rendering any lawful firearm in the home operable for the purpose of immediate self-defense. Assuming that Heller is not disqualified from the exercise of Second Amendment rights, the District must permit him to register his handgun and must issue him a license to carry it in the home.

We are aware of the problem of handgun violence in this country, and we take seriously the concerns raised by the many amici who believe that prohibition of handgun ownership is a solution. The Constitution leaves the District of Columbia a variety of tools for combating that problem, including some measures regulating handguns. But the enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table. These include the absolute prohibition of handguns held and used for self-defense in the home. Undoubtedly some think that the Second Amendment is outmoded in a society where our standing army is the pride of our Nation, where well-trained police forces provide personal security, and where gun violence is a serious problem. That is perhaps debatable, but what is not debatable is that it is not the role of this Court to pronounce the Second Amendment extinct."

The arm brace is a thing that is not quite a stock, The ATF allowed them as they don't make an NFA SBR. Looks like a stock but is not a stock.
Posted by: USNtakim prfoundly deplorable! at March 08, 2018 09:39 PM (0OmEj)

I'm of the opinion that BATFEIEIO issued that arm-brace ruling in order to get a bunch of deplorable gun-nuts to buy them, then after Frau Gruppencankles was elected, they planned to rescind the ruling and turn tens of thousands of unpeople from Jesusland into instant felons. Call it the Hundred SBRs Campaign.

Oops.

275 272 Does Bigfoot listen to Little Feat?

Not sure if they are only a local ad. But Jack Links Jerky had a "Messing with Sasquatch" ad campaign that was pretty funny.

I've seen those ads in every state I've watched TV in.

276 We were there in March. It was cold. I asked my husband "is this what you think of when you think of going to the beach?" That place sold and the whole experience sort of convinced us to look elsewhere. Next thing we knew, we were checking out TN real estate. Will do a scouting trip back there in a few months as we are close to actually putting this house on the market.

279 Outback, Roadhouse, etc.

They all suck dog balls. I've never, ever had a "good" steak at any of 'em. They're passible if I'm half in the bag, and don't care about the 120 dB music that I can't stand and have a designated driver. Cuz that's about the only way you'll get me into one of those rat traps. Or if you're paying. For the beer.

280 this is the link that Solomon interview ... at 27:20 or so he says he has breaking news... that the FBI is interviewing (ApCo?) some lobbying firm in Little Rock. They did work for CF and then it got the Russian contract ... and the FBI (this is the breaking news) are interviewing ApCo worldwide to find out if the transactions between ApCo and the Russians had any connection to the CGI. (and connections to the uranium one deal)

Cool I wasn't sure if it was a regional thing, they are made just across the border in Wisconsin so I wasn't sure. They had some pretty good ones. Speaking of Sasquatch, our neighbors who have land next to ours in northern MN found out where our other neighbors trail cams were. They were helping them harvest some wood when they found them. So after a couple or more beverages one night. One of the guys had a really cheesy Sasquatch suit, so they proceeded to put on a show for their trail cams. They also of course mooned them as well as other obscene things as well. They are now in a practical joke war which we are all happy to sit back and watch.

294 >>FBI (this is the breaking news) are interviewing ApCo worldwide to find out if the transactions between ApCo and the Russians had any connection to the CGI. (and connections to the uranium one deal)

Spolier. They did.

APCO is one of the biggest lobbying firms in DC, full of Clintonistas. The did hundreds of thousands of dollars of "in kind" work for the Clinton Foundation which was not reported.

While they were doing that work they were being paid millions by Rostam, the Putin controlled state energy group that was trying to get the Uranium One deal done.

Good point - I was just thinking about how it would no longer cycle semi automatically. Guess you could always cycle it manually. Yup, she broke the law.

And a face full of combustion gas from the severed gas tube.

297 maybe we'll get lucky and they will prosecute her...

that would be awesome! she claims she followed the Act in question, but if she doesn't have the requisite licensed referenced therein, no, she did not, even if she followed the rest of the law.

sucks to be her, but stupid is supposed to be painful, so you learn from it.

300 ubtedly some think that the Second Amendment is outmoded in a society where our standing army is the pride of our Nation, where well-trained police forces provide personal security, and where gun violence is a serious problem. That is perhaps debatable, but what is not debatable is that it is not the role of this Court to pronounce the Second Amendment extinct."
Posted by: Zombie Scalia, Supporter of Common Sense Pillow Control at March 08, 2018 09:41 PM (Ndje9)

All true except as we now know some police forces do not provide any personal security. But they are good at hanging out until the violence subsides.
