Nancy Pelosi: Hey, I've Got a Great Idea for Border Security. Instead of Building a Wall, Let's Just Mow the Grass in Some Areas So That It's Easier for Border-Crossers to Walk.

Uh, that last part was just me making stuff up, but no seriously, she did propose just "mowing the grass" as a border control solution.

Something tells me that "mowing the grass" is kind of a go-to default sexy solution for her.

"Let’s talk about where a more serious structure might be necessary, where fencing will do or mowing the grass so people can’t be smuggled through the grass," she proposed, also mentioning adding levees, technology and personnel to enhance border security.

She also dismissed Trump's repeated promises that Mexico will pay for the wall's construction. Pelosi said lawmakers from border states have "serious objections to a wall" because it could hurt "the community trade."

Apparently she thinks that illegal immigrants manage to hide from prying eyes by the tall grass that famously grows all over the place in the arid desert between Mexico and the US.

From Wikipedia, look at all the undetectable routes the tall, lush grass of the Sonoran desert provides:

From PBS, more of the famously verdant grasslands of the Mexico-Arizona border area:

Why, those mesquite trees are virtually Cloaking Fields!

From The Atlantic, where many cucks wish to work in the near future, the nigh-primordial forest of the border, where the triple-canopy of the forest's upper reaches screens out so much sunlight that the forest floor remains in a perpetual near-twilight:

Isn't it time that this demented botox-soaked hag subjected herself to a mental acuity test so that the public can gauge her cognitive capacity?

206 I've had an inner struggle deciding if it's a good or bad thing that Nancy Pelosi is losing control of her faculties. I lean to a bad thing since madness and decrepitude in American leadership at the national level--even among the opposition's leadership--is not good, ever.

It's also bad on a personal level, bad for me. I don't want to be in a place where I wish such ill on another.

Which is kind of absurd, frankly.

But in Canada, a DUI is a felony -- and they, like us, don't let felons in to their country.

We do the same shit though -- even if you plea guilty to a minor misdemeanor in your home country, if the same crime would have been a felony in the US -- no entry.

Unless you want to walk across our freshly mowed southern border, then forget everything I just said.

When the marriage went south, she turfed him out, and he had no legal standing vis a vis the house - because he was not a Mexican citizen.

.No bump stocks have not been used in a criminal act before the Vegas shooting.

They are junk prone to breaking and extremely inaccurate when firing with them. Most gun ranges that I know have banned the things because they are dangerous.

They are a novelty and only a few companies make them.

Note: You do not need a bump stock to bump fire. You can do it with your belt loop or a thick rubber band. There is a youtube video of a guy bump firing an M1 Garand from his belt loop.

However, I seriously doubt Trump will unilaterally ban them because obama's ATF tried and couldn't do it within the framework of the law as it is written.

Embrace the power of the word AND.

A Border Wall decreases crossings and makes it easier to do employer enforcement and bring the Underground Economy up into the light. Not by the bogus "coming out of the shadows" leftist concept, but by ripping down the shades.

Employer Enforcement, in turn, discourages Border Wall crossing attempts.

457 My smart TV suggests videos to me from You-Tube, and one was about Americans moving to some nice town full of Americans. Supposedly they were buying, some rented. Not really dirt cheap, and the interviews had some that said they left America because our politics so hurt their feelings, or some such. It was off of some big lake at 5000 feet.

I have found other stories of people that left and in time came back, one strongly claiming as Americans we will NEVER be accepted as normal, but they will smile and take the money. I think it is actually good that people "cling to their culture", and America and the west needs to do more of that. The multi-culti thing is a weapon to break us.

459 There's absolutely no reason - administrative, budgetary, political, practical - for "phasing" the obviously equally important and synergistic steps of internal enforcement, border security, and real immigration reform (i.e. reducing immigration). They all should be pursued without delay (and workplace enforcement has waited long enough - prioritizing violent criminals and gangs was fine for the first year, but now time to broaden the net).

Obviously.

We put three in our place before departing on our last 2 week vacation. Got to watch our kitty while we were gone, too.

Side benefit is getting notification of power outages while you are away.

Works on WIFI, so outbuildings may not need cabling.

546 Pretty thoroughly baffled about the misunderstanding here regarding TX sectors being the worst, currently. They are. For mundane reasons I noted above.

And overall, note that attempted illegal crossings have returned to their pre-Trump levels (close, anyway).

Predictable. First, economic magnet power increase with US economy coming to life. Second, initial "chill" for non-criminal illegals from Trump campaign has faded, as focus remains on violent criminals/gangs, even the WH purrs pretty noises (incessantly) about an amnesty (DACA), and no action has been taken on border barrier (ta duh!) OR "sanctuary" lawlessness.

It's almost - almost - like the illegal migration phenomenon is based on rational considerations of concrete factors. Stunning, and apparently beyond the understanding of many (incl. some here).

Tackling Sailor Moon's hair is a really complicated bit of work. Talking very long hair. Then the two blond braids with their looping needs to tacked into place. One tale is that many who were shipping illegals north thru Mexico are just that - the "New Generation" cartel has cut off travel north on the west side of the mountains, so that may have the effect of moving more illegals to the Texas side of the border...
***
They aren't really drug cartels anymore; they're crime cartels, and they control virtually all the illegal crossers. You have to either pay them several thousand dollars cash, or you have to carry in a big rucksack of marijuana for them.
The backpack guys are the ones they usually catch on our ranch, but they also caught some Ukrainians on our place who had been deported for committing crimes and were sneaking back in thruouh Mexico.

Posted by: Anon a mouse at February 22, 2018 04:04 PM (7LY+6)

The hotspots rotate as more assets are devoted to the current favored corridor. AZ got flooded with government assets after the Minutemen flooded the zone and made the feds look foolish.

So the cartels that had taken over the smuggling routes from the old coyotes/pollos shifted to Texas for their activities. That kicked off the current cartel warfare, and the attendant fed response north of the border.

The flow has shifted back to AZ a little bit as far as drug smuggling is concerned; less so for people. We are seeing a lot more armed incursions than we used to (Breitbart had pictures of a couple cartel scouts armed with real full auto AKs that were taken within 4 miles of my house).

There had been so many agents stripped from AZ and sent to TX at one point that there was a 30 mile stretch of border that had zero USBP presence. So the cartel cut down a chunk of the steel fence and had a field day bringing over dozens of vehicles full of drugs. Only a few were intercepted.

Yep, S TX is where most of the Unaccompanied alien children and families are coming in. They are all from Central America, so since their countries are not contiguous with the US, they get to stay and have asylum hearings. What a surprise when they don't show up those.

This is a problem Congress needs to fix by changing the laws.
