Garcia took a "voluntary" unpaid leave of absence after those allegations emerged, but a new report from Politico suggests that Garcia's problems with harassment and alcohol go deeper than first thought. For instance, what’s up with the beer tap in her office? The industry lobbyist said he was surprised last year when, during a late-morning policy meeting in Garcia’s Capitol office, the assemblywoman poured beer from a kegerator -- a refrigerator with a beer tap on top --located in her office. She offered the brew in red Solo cups to the group of lobbyists, even though it was "sometime between 11 a.m. and noon... a little early," the lobbyist said. ... However, the beer tap is the least of the problems. Marinucci's new report makes it clear that alcohol-soaked socializing and listening to her sexual conquests were part of the job requirements in her office. Aw thanks for asking Salty Dog. Hah, maybe I need advice, though that is always a scary proposition here.
I'm on the brink of breaking up with my BF of two years. He has wanted to get married in the worst way for at least a year and a half. But, bless his heart, he has no ambition at all, and drive is important to me. Works part time retail and struggles with job interviews, has a ton of debt. We've stayed together so long because he has so many other amazing qualities, plus I love his family. But I promised myself I wouldn't marry a man child, and he doesn't seem to want to grow out of that. I almost have my house paid off and am otherwise financially sound. I have the most assets of the two of us, and the most to lose financially if this ends in divorce. I think he'd be a good dad but I would have to be the main provider in the relationship, which I'm scared to do.
Trying to decide what to do. And if I finally pull the cord before it really becomes too painful for us both, the best way to do it. Advice is welcome!

Nobody is perfect, present company included. But that's a pretty big thing that cannot be overlooked. And it's likely not something that he will change. Even if you think you can get him to. Which no offense is something that females seem to think they can do, is change a guy. When I asked my amazing bride of 20 plus years there was no doubt in my mind that there was nothing about her that was a deal breaker for me. I knew she was it. That's a big enough thing to walk away. Money is one of the biggest reasons for divorce. Follow your heart, but listen to your head.

I always set the median at 5, which is why I say Lena Dunham is a 5. She is plain and average-looking, and there are plenty of women much uglier than her.
Setting the median at 7 effectively says that a 5 or less is a 0. I would never have thought of using a 1-10 scale that way.
I think the binary scale is innovative and greatly simplifies matters.

He wants to coast. The debt can be set aside for his other qualities. Weigh those other qua;ities carefully, you may lose something to get ambition with less caring for you. It is a conundrum, sometimes.
You want him to mature and be a man that is your peer. And despite everything else good he fails there.
My advice is to be blunt. I will marry you if ....
Set a realistic time limit. Retail management may be a step up. Otherwise, lots of places need ambitious people. You want his ambition to be more that being with you.
And start thinking Pre-Nup to protect yourself, although as a women you have less worries here.

My sister had to sell her house to pay off her soon-to-be louse ex because she was the main bread winner after he quit his job to find himself. He found himself all the way through her checking account. The court found that she was the sole bread winner, so she had to pay up.

Just get ingrained with some people I think. It makes sense to fully utilize the scale by putting the median at 5, but after 12-16 years of letter grades being important, a lot of people tend to associate 6, 7, 8 with below average, average, and above average.

Painful, but true. I adore his parents but I think they let him coast on life a little, compared to his siblings. Did not expect much out of him so did not push him like they should have. It frustrates me sometimes. It's tough to have so much in the relationship be right, yet the few things that are wrong are pretty crucial to a relationship lasting the long haul.

Super well, like a queen. Attentive, sweet, thoughtful, chivalrous. Great cook, amazing voice. Just like female nature if a woman is bringing in more resources than the man, she will deem him unworthy and jump ship to a better provider of resources or protection if he gets sick or falls ill. It's a survival mechanism. Women want resources and safety.
I say this as dispassionately as possible. Because of social engineering (Marxism), these things are thrown out of sync. I don't see them improving either in this current climate of our society.

I would recommend a class called Financial Peace by Dave Ramsey. It will not only give him the tools to get his financial self in order, but it will also be an avenue to growth. If he’s not capable of that growth he just can’t handle adulthood. That’s the relationship you want and need. It’s concerning he only works part time.
It’s tough, but if he doesn’t pull up he’ll have to go because he’s already wearing you down.

It's not my experiences. It's literally everybody's for 1000's of years. God of the Bible talks about male and female nature. I'm not out of sync with this. I'm not out of sync with observable reality and verifiable facts about the state of relationships in our country and across the world.
Im not even pissed or angry about this wisdom and knowledge being hidden from me and other men and women my age.
When something is predictable as what I have stated about imbalances in relationships, then it's universal and the outliers are those who are strong enough to fight off their hard wired male and female natures, which I hold with the highest respect btw. I wish more would I do that. I can literally predict how men and women will behave in a realtionship given a set of variables.
My generation is fucked and so are the younger generations. It's not getting better unless we start taking lots of rights and privileges away from men and women, who both don't want to give them up.

What I just learned is that he was the prosecutor who blew up Arthur Andersen in the Enron case. At the end, all Weissmann had was that an internal lawyer had OK'd the decision to delete some e-mails before anything like a subpoena had issued. The judge let it go to the jury with instructions that they jurors could convict the accounting firm regardless of whether its employees had knowingly violated the law. The jury convicted, and because it made AA a convicted felon it was put out of business, even though it still had the right to appeal. Cold comfort that SCOTUS later overturned 9-0
Weissmann is in good company with Jimmy Drama, who pursued dubious charges of tampering with evidence against Martha Stewart and Frank Quattrone.
Given what we're about to learn from the DOJ OIG report about how Jimmy handled Team Hillary's wholesale destruction of evidence, what should be his appropriate punishment?

nature. I'm not out of sync with this. I'm not out of sync with
observable reality and verifiable facts about the state of relationships
in our country and across the world.
Im not even pissed or angry about this wisdom and knowledge being hidden from me and other men and women my age.
When something is predictable as what I have stated about imbalances
in relationships, then it's universal and the outliers are those who
are strong enough to fight off their hard wired male and female natures,
which I hold with the highest respect btw. I wish more would I do that.
I can literally predict how men and women will behave in a
realtionship given a set of variables.
My generation is fucked and so are the younger generations. It's
not getting better unless we start taking lots of rights and privileges
away from men and women, who both don't want to give them up.

Their burritos are almost the size of footballs and give that little Taco Bell Chihuahua nightmares, I'm sure. They have a hot sauce for every NFL team, too.
