Project Veritas: Twitter Is Even Scanning Your DMs

Well, this seems obvious now that it's pointed out, but even stuff you post in DMs is being scanned for purposes of advertising to you.

Even worse? It seems even pictures you DM are being scanned -- and sometimes by Twitter employees.

Some of the Twitter engineers say that Twitter employees look at everything you do on their platform, even in private, even in DMs.

179 Twitter is not so much "technology" as something like a popular nightclub. But if that nightclub offers too many inconveniences, like allowing certain groups to harass and bully you, ignoring your orders, bouncing some of your friends for no apparent reason, and giving away your credit card number, it might become less desirable.

Twitter has provided people with many motivations in the past to find another venue. Now it is providing yet another one. Name recognition is their only commodity.

We'll see if people's inertia can be overcome.

I've always worked under the assumption that because of that the FBI probably ran most of the nodes in this country, and if you can log the traffic entering or exiting TOR you can trace it. It is only anonymous inside the system.

215 202 154 Well, you could run all your messaging through an anonymizer (?) or run Tor, but then you'd get the .gov on your ass because you must be hiding something.

I would not trust TOR for anything. Biggest problem with TOR is the entrance and exit nodes are rare and expensive.
I've always worked under the assumption that because of that the FBI probably ran most of the nodes in this country, and if you can log the traffic entering or exiting TOR you can trace it. It is only anonymous inside the system.

If you've ever GONE to twitter, or even visited a website like AoSHQ that embeds tweets - they have an advertising profile for your identity already. The nefarious thing about these fuckers is that you don't even have to actively participate in their data mining operation in order to be caught up in their net.

383 TOR is compromised. It is not the anon solution anyone should be looking for. The NSA has stuff baked into it.

The protocol is well understood and tested. Anyone can roll their own TOR stuff if they want to be super cautious.

TOR's compromised in a different way. If you own enough of the nodes, you can find out all sorts of interesting stuff about the network.

So that's what they do. The gov't agencies have tons of resources to host TOR nodes. They also send out harassment squads to people who own exit nodes and threaten to charge them with owning all the nasty stuff that got passed through their node. This keeps the numbers of non-gov't owned nodes down.

483 Yep, there's a difference between the surface temperature and the temperature up high in the atmoshpere.

Sleet is rain that freezes on the way down.

In fact, I think most rain in winter starts as snow up high most of the time.

You can have a situation where it snows up high, melts on the way down, the refreezes to form sleet.

I am against hangovers, however, and believe a good government area of future scientific research is "how to end hangovers among the perpetually hammered"/

Based upon all my experience I believe white males want only to control the remote and are fully in favor of letting everyone else run the world. Mostly they will do anything to avoid actual work, so I think the patriarchy is dead!

Easy win. Next stop, President Hillary!

Better word is "intersex". True human hermaphrodites are very rare indeed. They have existed, such as it defined (having both ovary and testicle), but very few are know.

Many intersex conditions can be "fixed" at birth, or doing puberty.

Look up CAIS, complete androgen insensitivity syndrome, and XYGDS, XY gonadal dysgensis syndrome.

There are rumors, and well founded that Wallis Simpson was one of these.
