Happy birthday to me.

I'm not going to tell you how old I am. I won't even entertain guesses.

In fact, it'd probably be best if you'd all just kindly get the hell off my lawn.

1 Good Morning Morons; today is Saturday, January 13, 2018. On this day 1971 in a great travesty of justice the liberal wing of SCOTUS ruled 5-4 to overrule the conviction of murder by a serial killer in NH. Their ruling was based on excluded evidence found in his car after a search they deemed unlawful because the search warrant was issued by the State AG acting as a justice of the peace. I hope these 5 assholes slept real good because this same killer went on to kill two more people afterwards.

5 Trumps lawyer and the porn actress both vehemently deny the story about Trump paying her $130,000 in hush money to silence her. Just more FAKE news, this time from the WSJ which has always been liberal on the news pages but was more centered on the opinion pages. From what I have seen lately the whole bag of shit is liberal now.

9 Looks like SCOTUS is about to reverse a previous ruling on States imposing a sales tax on mail order companies. I thought I'd do the birds a favor a few years back and get a heater for the birdbath. What a waste of money and time. If it's really cold and dry the water is evaporating and you need to fill it everyday. And the only birds that used it were a few mourning doves, that would sit on the edge of the birdbath with their backs to the water. And poop in the water. So now not only do I have to carry water out to the thing, I've got to clean it too.

Threw the damn heater out

Slightly out of tune

It still rings true
I ask myself one question

I put out black sunflower seed. Thistle and shelled peanuts. All goes well until the damn starlings show up. First one, then....20 of the crapping things will strip the peanut feeder bare. So then I put out in shell peanuts. The woodpeckers and blue jays can still feed. The starlings prefer easier eating.

Hmmm. Who do starlings remind me of.

P.S. 190 proof Golden Grain / Ever Clear is a better value than Val-U-Rite in any state that IS ALLOWED to sell it.

Here in Nanny State Pennsylvania they didn't use to sell it. I asked
the clerk why? She said, "Nobody needs that proof of alcohol." All
snippy like. I explained how summer drinks that are 99% chopped ice, you
don't want to water them down with booze already watered down. You end
up with watery slush.

She was unimpressed with my argument.

Years later it was on the shelf.

They even have that here in Baptist-lina. But since it has such a high alcohol content they charge an arm and a leg for it.

Once in a while my township has a shredder day where you wait in a short line, then drive up with your boxes of shit to shred, they grab them, throw them into the hopper of some big ass shredder, 10 seconds later, you're done.

Individual shredding of 95% of stuff can wait. But trash pickers are really out there.

About a decade after my business closed, I threw out a gas credit card, without chopping up. It had been so long I thought why bother. Couple days later I got a call from gas company someone had tried to use it.

Dude, do we have the same wife? I think they all go to a special "Wife School" where they're taught, 'Remember, girls, that's his job.'

Mrs Cop is utterly baffled by the computer. I still giggle like a maniac when I think about an incident involving the eldest grand-kid. She was in the First Grade at the time (college sophomore, now) when my wife was trying to do something while surfing the internet. Grand-kid sees that Ma-Maw is failing miserably, hops up in her lap, takes the mouse away and says, "No, Ma-Maw, you do it this way." *Click-click-click* Done.

164 So, some of my prized possessions are LARPing their own Kafka novel.

I just came back from Rome with a stop in Lisbon and my checked bag did not make exactly the same journey. There was a woman in a uniform at the baggage area where my bag wasn't who had my name and knew the bag was missing. Good. I filled out a form and she gave me a card. Good.

I got a strange email. Good? I call the number on the card. It does not work. Not good. I follow the link in the email. It goes to a package tracking site. Good? I enter my tracking number. It assures me that it has absolutely no idea where my bag is.

Is it Schroedinger's checked bag? Heisenbergs? Does it exist?

I'm with you. Beans are a relatively cheap but nutritious since they contain protein. Only a society with a plentiful and inexpensive meat supply can afford to make "all meat" chili.

When you look at what armies issued to their troops pre-20th C, the ration list is pretty much: bread, dried vegetables (peas or beans) and a bit of meat. Oh, and beer to wash it down.

Rupert completely fucked up the wsj except for the entertainment coverage which I can find elsewhere. I had subscribed since the mid 70s until the editorial page became so worthless with their open borders crap in 2010 that I just let the subscription lapse. Haven't looked back a bit.

But, when asked if she thought Fusion's Bank records ought to also be released for the same reasons - she suddenly started doing her imitation of a hermit crab and skittered sideways out of sight.

I have a good friend (Larry) here who last year went through something like that. His step-mother, in her 70's, had been very healthy, still working. Long story, but a company doing some work at her house poisoned her through negligence. She spent months going in and out of hospitals, all kinds of complications, and Larry was the ONLY one who would do anything for her - took her to doctors, sat with her in the hospital, handled all of her affairs for most of the year. The last complication was a stroke that killed her - very sad case. No one ever helped him with any of this.

Now it's come out that there is a massive lawsuit against the firm that caused this, and they are going to settle without a trial, because they don't dare let this get in front of a jury. She left Larry in charge of her estate, and now, suddenly, all of these relatives from around the country are starting to show up and tell him how much she meant to them, blah blah blah. He just tells all of them to f' off - not a one of them would lift a finger to help her while she was still alive, and it's only the scent of money that's brought all the vultures circling.

Heh!

Uranium One indictment!

The Obama administration knew that Russia had used bribery, kickbacks
and extortion to get a stake in the US atomic energy industry --- but cut
deals giving Moscow control of a large chunk of the US uranium supply
anyway, according to a report Tuesday.

The FBI used a confidential US witness working inside the Russian
nuclear industry to gather records, make secret recordings and intercept
emails as early as 2009 that showed the Kremlin had compromised an
American uranium trucking company, the Hill reported.

Executives at the company, Transport Logistics International, kicked
back about $2 million to the Russians in exchange for lucrative no-bid
contracts --- a scheme that violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act,
the report said.

The feds also learned that Russian nuclear officials had gotten
millions of dollars into the US designed to benefit the Clinton
Foundation at the same time then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
served on a government committee that signed off on the deals
, sources
told The Hill.

He may be a good source, but he knocks Hannity for not seeing the big picture. I think Hannity has to be more careful about what he accuses people of. He is always saying he knows more than he can reveal.

The 4chan, 8chan types have been chattering about all sorts of roundups of criminals ... but they seem a little over confidant that Hillary, Huma et al are going down for sure.

But then there have long been interviews with guys like William Binney that have said all along this inner cabal can search through everything ... and that has been talked about here, how these guys would do the deep dive on their girlfriends even.

But the data sharing broadly on the inside (still done now with special encryption software by the 'resistance' still committing felonies within) ... the sharing with intent to destroy political enemies when global with Obama.

And there is that "five eyes" thing where they all share ALL data. One story was Obama got the same NSA intel by going through the Brits, so that OUR guys could testify THEY did not give it up. And that is where guys like Clapper lie to congress about stuff like "not knowingly" spying on Americans.

The question STILL is who is running the show? It still seems like Mueller has a lot of power and may be holding a knife to Trump's throat, having had a year to dig dirt on Trump and family. Deep State is real and still alive and kicking.

There is reason for hope, but also reason to doubt how far they will really go. But yeah, next week the report is supposed to come out. Monday I guess. So far only Weiner is in jail ... unless they have others locked up secretly.

The report itself won't be out for weeks. The document dump on Congress has just started and will continue for a while.

The OIG investigation is completely separate from the Mueller investigation and has been going on for a year collecting information on the very people doing the investigation of Trump.
