Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Rant: J.V. EditionAfter more than 50 years, all the Palestinian liberation movement has achieved is locking their "people" into a perpetual cycle of anger and squalor and violence. Has there been a single success? Not really. They might has well have spent the last 50 years flinging poo instead of bombs. Peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all of our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. I see Israel, and never mind saying it, as one of the great outposts of democracy in the world, and a marvelous example of what can be done, how desert land almost can be transformed into an oasis of brotherhood and democracy. Peace for Israel means security and that security must be a reality. On the other hand, we must see what peace for the Arabs means in a real sense of security on another level. Peace for the Arabs means the kind of economic security that they so desperately need. These nations, as you know, are part of that third world of hunger, of disease, of illiteracy. I think that as long as these conditions exist there will be tensions, there will be the endless quest to find scapegoats. So there is a need for a Marshall Plan for the Middle East, where we lift those who are at the bottom of the economic ladder and bring them into the mainstream of economic security. Anyone care to guess which member of the White patriarchy said this? Obviously it was some Jooo industrialist with financial interest in Israel, or maybe some crazy Right-Wing religious nut-job. Who knows, but it's just so awful and Western and freedom-loving and "love thine enemy." Yuck. Apparently Senator Gillibrand is a knuckle-dragging, booger-eating idiot.
This is funny. And I have no idea what this game is all about, nor do I care. But the skewering of the Hysterical SJW mindset is delicious. Sometimes some odd and unconnected fact appears to remind me that we live in a wonderful country. This is one of them, and I have no idea why it fills me with glee. Perhaps the connection with our country's history, perhaps the reminder that we are so young, yet have done so much for the world.

The Tyler men have a habit of having kids very late in life. Lyon Gardiner Tyler, one of President Tyler's 15 kids, was born in 1853. He fathered Lyon Gardiner Tyler Jr. in 1924, and Harrison Ruffin Tyler in 1928. Posted by: Lizzy at January 15, 2018 11:39 AM (W+vEI) 19

Very True. but we are a unique tribe in that we recognize individual (God given immutable) rights. We set up ways to stop the big chief from becoming our lords. But indeed the evil ones perverted that, starting from the moment the ink dried on the constitution. (and the Civil War started over the North lording tariffs over the south, but the slave issue became the populist thrust, and now is useful in a revisionist sort of way) But despite attempts at uniting blacks post slavery, people's heritage is still long lasting and vital. All "the others" know that and flock together, but those white founders have been rejected by our betters in academia (except in the blue blood elite, where bloodline still matters) Posted by: illiniwek at January 15, 2018 12:02 PM (otAqJ) 110

Um speaking of Jackson... He was the victim of early Trump resistors..:
The campaign was very much a personal one. As was the custom at the time, neither candidate personally campaigned, but their political followers organized many campaign events. Both candidates were rhetorically attacked in the press. Jackson was strongly attacked as a slave trader, who bought and sold slaves and moved them about in defiance of higher standards of slaveholder behavior.[128] A series of pamphlets known as the Coffin Handbills were published to attack Jackson, one of which revealed his order to execute soldiers at New Orleans.[129][100] Another accused him of engaging in cannibalism by eating the bodies of American Indians killed in battle,[130] while still another labeled his mother a "common prostitute" and stated that Jackson's father was a "mulatto man."[131] Posted by: Voter Dude at January 15, 2018 12:02 PM (U5Xeq) 112

Couldn't make it 5 paragraphs before my eyes glazed over. Same here. When it got to the part where Power attributed such great meaning to the photo of her 4 year old daughter asleep in her lap (referred to as like an *Irish* statue?) it's become parody. OK. I took one for the team and read the Rhondes/Power interview.
1 - What comes across is these folks looking at Obama as some sort of god and that NONE of US, including them, were able to see Obama's greatness. He was just operating so many strands above us, that it will take years - or the "moral arc of the universe" for us to truly understand his greatness. 2 - It is/was better to remain in bad agreements than to withdraw. How can we possibly "cajole" China, terrorists, Iran, etc., if we don't allow them to run roughshod over us? In order for them to take us seriously, we have to take everything they say and or do seriously. 3 - It was an HBO special, (kinda like that whole two guys Mark somebody who got nailed for the sexual harassment) documentary. 4 - See #1. There is a reason Sen Gillibrand was known as "Tracy Flick" back in the New York State Legislature.
Even in her early days among attention-whoring, Machiavellian backstabbers she stood out as especially lacking in human qualities or restraint. Posted by: xnycpeasant at January 15, 2018 12:50 PM (W/SyC) 210
23 This is Schadenbonerific. Samantha Power threw a
party on election night with a bunch of feminazi icons to experience Hillz victory and, well, it didn't work out. http://politi.co/2DeoHp5 Posted by: Anonosaurus Wrecks, Now On the Gorilla Channel That was a tasty read. I could make a gallon of schadenboner cocktails from all their whiny tears. I especially liked Power's whine about NATO, how she had been oh so carefully 'nudging' them to pay more of their fair share, and were kinda moving in that direction (in 8 years!), but without upsetting their delicate sensibilities (all paraphrasing by me) -- And then that loud mouthed jerk from Hell made them cough up the dough in less than a year! Oh the horror. And now they don't love us anymore. Lots more in this boner throbbing vein. Posted by: GnuBreed at January 15, 2018 12:52 PM (0ogQG) 211

What's amazing is that anything gets delivered where it's supposed to go. Cause I have the same problem here. It's a damn trailer park. yet they don't read the f**king address on the mail box or on the trailer. They just open the mail box and stuff whatever's in their hand into the box. Tyler was amazingly effective as president. Too bad he ruined his legacy by joining with the Confederacy.
Here is a great quote: "My imagination has led me to look into the distant future, and there to contemplate the greatness of free America. I have beheld her walking on the waves of the mighty deep, carrying along with her tidings of great joy to distant nations. I have seen her overturning the strong places of despotism, and restoring to man his long-lost rights." --John Tyler, 1832 Posted by: Isophorone at January 15, 2018 06:08 PM (HbXav) Processing 0.03, elapsed 0.0399 seconds. |
