The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg"Christmas is all about joy, salvation, happy children, families, good will to all, feasting on meat, sugar, fats, and booze, and *nothing* about politics. No wonder progressives hate it so much."

(h/t Paul Joseph Watson)

Not Bad For The Hack Journalist Who Supposedly Once Tried To Date Monica Lewinsky To Get The Goods On Bill:

(click on tweet text and follow the thread)

Two Big Reasons Why Evan Mcmullin Is An Idiot:

1. He thinks David Frum is "discerning" and a "must-read":

2. He thinks Jennifer Rubin is "a principled voice for liberty."

So if we take the GOPe, boil it down, skim off the impurities, and distill it into a concentrated liquor, what we will have is, essentially, Evan McMullin.

How anyone could've voted for this toad is beyond me.

51 Putin is an old Soviet era thug that has (probably) had good men murdered so as to confiscate their wealth and influence.

BUT he does seem to have some "respect" for the positive influence of Christian communities in Russia. Democrats on the other hand seek to remove Christian influence everywhere.

Of course the old atheist Soviets recognized the power of Christian belief, so in their efforts to subvert America, infiltrating and subverting our churches became part and parcel of their march through our institutions.

That culminated in the first red diaper baby "co-president" Barack/Valerie, joined in political matrimony in Chicago by their card carrying commie, Soviet era mentors, Davis and Jarret. But after eight years of their "false angel of light-bringer", the hinterlands held the line against Queen Hillary, and the rust belt regrouped.

Assuming Hillary or Bernie does not run and get the Dem nomination the Horde should find someone one named Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders - preferably in Utah - and put them on the ballot in all 50 and have them say that they are the "real liberal in this race" and have them shout, and have big capital letter signs, saying things like :

"I believe in protecting the American worker from rampant imported capitalist globalist wage seekers !!!!! Support the American worker!"

and then, in smaller letters point out that the way to do this is to"stop all immigration and build a wall."

I bet before anyone catches on they would probably siphon off almost 50% of the Dem's leftard voting base.

I'm 99% certain that the fireworks were provided by the special effects company I used to work for. They do a ton of stuff for the DNC.

That being said, they are HUGE @ss kissers in regards to the client that handles that stuff for the DNC. Making the fireworks non-refundable would have meant that they thought that Hillary would not win, which would be Heresy, and upset their client, and caused him to "re-think the relationship."

So I'd bet "not refundable." And the @ssholes I used to work for got stuck with the bill. But it's cool, because they have an angel investor who is basically Uncle Moneybags on the Monopoly board, so really, they have minimal accountability.

98 Wonderful Life as commie propaganda? And yet the hero is not the government but a small time banker who counters the big banker who can buy government favors. And the hero is rescued from the missing 8K by *voluntary* help from the town he helped over the years not a government bailout or marxists demanding equality.

99 Another discerning must-read by @davidfrum: "Conservatism is what conservatives think, say, and do. As conservatives change...so does what it mean to be a conservative."

========

Well that's a chicken and egg problem. If you say that "conservatives think, say, and do" something, you've already classified them as conservative. Which means you have an objective definition of "conservative" apart from what one of them may say afterwards.

Also reminds me of the transubstantiation discussion the other day. That notion depends on the distinction between essence vs "accidents" (non-essential attributes). Does McMullin really think there are no essential attributes to conservatism?

The 'new' psychosis in both education, and 'public service'... is if you change peoples perceptions of something, you change the thing...

So changing the idea that a Transvestite... ie one who does not like subjective reality enough that they will go to GREAT lengths to change the appearance of said reality... used to be considered a mental problem... now it is celebrated.

Older Women with Tattoos... same deal... slap something on your body that YOUNG people think is cool... but guess what? It does not make you young...

Slapping a coat of paint on an old car, makes it an old car with a new coat of paint...

Which is why they are all unhappy... they are not dealing with Reality... they are spending their energy changing the appearance, but not the reality, of things....

Which don't fix a damn thing...

I'm actually a fan of the local banks who've gotten screwed over by the Establishment with the "reforms" that should have been aimed at the Big Banks who gave us the 2008 crisis. Liz Warren believes we'll all be better off when the small banks are gone, because it's so much easier to milk the Big Banks to help fund the cause.

Bigger theme in IAWL is how little people can actually have profound influence.

Mitt didn't build that. He helped finance it. At the start of Bain Capital it did some "venture capital" financing like Staples before it switched to an entirely LBO model of buying public companies with a lot of debt and then flipping them back to the public market a few years later. Most of the gains in the interim were achieved by cutting corporate taxes because of the deductible interest on the debt, using a portfolio model so that Bain had more upside than downside risk.

While this was legal, it was quite far from being entrepenurial. Most Americans weren't fooled by the idea that Mitt was a job-creating Builder. He was (is) a passive-aggressive c*nt who'd fire you to make a nickle.

Ironically, cutting the corporate tax rate to 21% will make it harder for LBO shops like Bain Capital.

There's music in the air
The sleigh bells are ringin' and the carolers are singin'
While the air raid sirens blare

It's Christmas at ground zero
The button has been pressed
The radio just let us know
That this is not a test

Ev'rywhere the atom bombs are droppin'
It's the end of all humanity
No more time for last minute shoppin'
It's time to face your final destiny!

Well it's Christmas at ground zero
There's panic in the crowd
We can dodge debris while we trim the tree

177 I'll take the bet that Trump gets McCabe fired before his 90 days up.

I'm reading into Trump's tweets:

"How can FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, the man in charge, along with leakin' James Comey, of the Phony Hillary Clinton investigation (including her 33,000 illegally deleted emails) be given $700,000 for wife's campaign by Clinton Puppets during investigation?"

"FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is racing the clock to retire with full benefits. 90 days to go?!!!"

"@FoxNews-FBI's Andrew McCabe, in addition to his wife getting all of this money from M (Clinton Puppet), he was using, allegedly, his FBI Official Email Account to promote her campaign. You obviously cannot do this. These were the people who were investigating Hillary Clinton."

Yeah I don't get it either. It is baffling to me. Some otherwise smart Christian leaders are in the same boat: Trump is awful and we must redefine ourselves to avoid being associated with him. Its a bit ridiculous.

The Bible is full of examples of God using men who are pretty awful to accomplish great things and move his plan along. I'm not saying President Trump is a special God-appointed person, just that every person in power is put there by God, and we work with them, encouraging their good and condemning their wrong. We don't start out just assuming they are monsters and opposing them wholesale. This was something I tried really hard to do with Obama: find good I could praise. But it was very, very hard. So rarely did he do anything I could even stomach.

There's much about the Trump administration that Christians should be cheered by. There are many things he has done and is planning to do that are very good and laudable things the Christian community should praise.

It bothers me that of all the presidents in my lifetime, Trump is the only one that people seem to want to hold their past against. Its like the sins he committed in his youth are worse than ours, somehow. That's not how God sees things.

241 The Bible is full of examples of God using men who are pretty awful to accomplish great things and move his plan along.

========

In the Bible, sometimes leaders are set up over people as a punishment.

Why not just see Obama for the Ahab or Nebuchadnezzar that he is?

242 So The States Where Trump Will Be President in 2018 do include IL... someone really needs to inform our current (RINO) and probable future (Dimocrat) governors of that fact which they both go out of their way to ignore or deny.

Romans 13 does seem to say that. It is one reason I pick and choose what I wholly believe, as with the Adam and Eve or the flood.

Some argue those powers refer to men of God, but that doesn't quite fit either. Maybe it could be made to refer to the local environment at the time, or the idea that it was not very practical then to demand "individual God-given rights" (and apparently is still not practical in England, for those that might fight those guard to put an ornament on that tree).

To me Romans 13 suggests a certain "pre-destiny" that doesn't really fit very well.

Do singles count?

And we're counting those bills placed end-to-end, right? Then I'm good.

246 I'm guessing the guards are supposed to keep anyone from putting anything to do with Jesus on the tree.

247 MMXVIII will be the first FULL year of the Trump administration.

Sadly, he's already shooting himself in the foot. No, you CANNOT work with Dems on medical care. How can you work with a party that wants nothing less then the forcible government seizure and takeover of the entire medical industry?

250 Some fun global warming facts:
University of Illinois 2009 survey claiming that 97.4% of scientists agree that mankind is responsible for global warming.
The problem is that the Illinois researchers decided that of their 10,257 respondents, the 10,180 (99.249%) who demurred from the so-called consensus werent qualified to comment on the issue.
Of the remaining 77 that were man made global warming advocates only 75 agreed.

251 1. Why should anyone care what McMuffin thinks about anything?

2. What has he ever done of substance?

3. What conservative things has he done?

4. What conservative views has he ever espoused?

We are told that we should care about his opinion, but never told why.

252 We are told that Egg McMuffin is someone of importance.

Has he ever run a campaign?

Has he ever won anything, or represented anyone?

Even when he was the "conservative" candidate for President, what conservative position did he espouse?

Has he ever contributed anything profound or intellectual to the conservative cause?

Let's be honest, the left has him on for the express purpose of saying he's a "conservative" who speaks truth about conservatives, or something.

Is there any record of him being conservative?

Of course not.

He's the pasty white Ana Navarro, but with more egg, less bacon.

"I didn't leave the Republican party, the party left ME!"

My favorite was when Navarro cheered that Obamacare was not repealed. Because conservative principles or something.
