She isn't sufficiently pure because she didn't defend the Confederate battle flag and her domestic policies aren't perfect. But this woman fights, she doesn't back down, and she is a vociferous defender of American interests. Of course it is hyperbole to suggest her for president, but I want Washington filled with people like Haley rather than apparatchiks like Brennan and Powers and Rice and Meuller and Comey and..... And what a nice headline!Nikki Haley Cuts The UN Purse Strings By $285 Million Today, the United Nations agreed on a budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. Among a host of other successes, the United States negotiated a reduction of over $285 million off the 2016-2017 final budget. In addition to these significant cost savings, we reduced the UN's bloated management and support functions, bolstered support for key U.S. priorities throughout the world, and instilled more discipline and accountability throughout the UN system. Milton Friedman got it exactly right about politicians, and it is doubly true for the sleazy hacks who populate the United Nations. I do not believe that the solution to our problem is simply to elect the right people. The important thing is to establish a political climate of opinion which will make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing. Nikki Haley and her boss are simply forcing the United Nations to do the right thing, and if they won't then they will be punished. That makes sense for most Americans, but we have only rarely forced issues at the UN. Jeanne Kirkpatrick did a fine job, and John Bolton gave it a shot, but was hamstrung by Congress. What a pleasure to see our great country standing up for itself against a world that takes for granted that we will always try to get along, even at the expense of our self-interest. That sounds suspiciously populist and insular, but an intelligent approach to foreign policy can maintain our influence while protecting our interests. And Nikki Haley and President Trump are doing a fine job! Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

I'd even say there's better than long shot odds that she replaces Pence as Vice-President on the 2020 ticket, depending on how the 2018 mid-terms shake out, and how strong the Democratic women jockeying for the 2020 nomination appear to be.

Fuckin' LORDE!!??!?!#%#*#%$#%!!!
The NZ singer had announced a worldwide tour with a stop in Tel Aviv, and the anti-Israel extreme left targeted her with threats of boycott unless she canceled her Israel show, forcing her to choose sides in a debate she admits she knew NOTHING about. So the Left coordinated a massive letter-writing/twitter/shaming campaign to force her to bend to their will -- and today she JUST CAVED IN to their demands and canceled her Israel show. Her decision came after she foolishly allowed a bunch of activists to lecture her in private, feeding her a cavalcade of lies and propaganda. But mostly Lorde's decision was financial: She was utterly tricked by these charlatans into thinking that if she performed in Israel then most of her audience would boycott her, completely unaware that the reverse is true, that only a tiny percentage of hardcore leftists would virtue-signal with a pretend-boycott for a few days then everything would go back to normal. Real fans need to show her the error of falling for leftist lies by organizing a REAL boycott, based on her decision to join the anti-Semitic hordes, out of complete ignorance. Yeah, and this is exactly why I am hesitant to jump on the Nikki Haley bandwagon. When she is doing simply what she is told to do by her boss, she is impressive. But when -she- was the boss as Governor, she was not anything special. And I hesitate to support any female politician nowadays. Considering the majority of them typically support 3 things that I consider deal-breakers for me: abortion, man-caused 'global warming' and illegal immigration. From her past statements, looks like she is weak on 2 of the 3 (she's pro-life). That said, I am all in favor of her work so far as UN Ambassador, enforcing President Trump's policy direction, and I hope she keeps it going. Posted by: blaster at December 25, 2017 02:50 PM Interesting. President Trump himself called Nikki Haley weak on illegal immigration. I read her talking about what's important is "tone" and "respect". I don't read her talking anything about the problem with crime and murder and terrorism and corruption of the immigration system from "migrants". Or the need to enforce existing laws and build a wall. http://bit.ly/2pw8mFx As far as AGW, all I've found so far are a bunch of articles of her parroting the Trump Administration stance on "climate change" (it is real and humans play a part). Meh. Taking a wait and see approach to her. Tough to know what -she- actually believes and stands for when she is currently in a position where she has to promote the beliefs and policies of her boss. Posted by: Cosmic Charlie at December 25, 2017 02:53 PM (PUmDY) I was looking for it the other night, but I couldn't find it. It has a mixture of secular and religious songs. If memory serves, the front cover shows a sleigh traveling through the snow, the back cover has a Nativity scene, and when you open it up, the inside has Bettie Page in a naughty Santa outfit. Posted by: Steve and Cold Bear at December 25, 2017 03:00 PM How about Marco Rubio? Parents were immigrants from Cuba and he talked a charming line about being anti-illegal immigration and being conservative, etc. Gets into office and does a complete 180. The fact is that NO politician is to be trusted. Period. The reason President Trump is succeeding? He's not a politician. I do not trust any career politician. I'd sooner trust the cashier at the corner Walgreens before any politician. We all know that politicians lie for political expedience. ALL of them, Republican or Democrat. Just look at all the so-called conservative Republicans who turned into Democrats just because they did not like President Trump, even when he was directing policies that the GOP said they had supported before President Trump. So, yeah, I'm skeptical of everyone, including Nikki Haley. Will she sell America down the road when she's not in the employ of President Trump? We have no idea. Nikki's my home town (state) gal done made the big time, and I'm proud of her and pulling for her. Less that 8 years ago, she was just a mere state legislator, a member of the state House, who ran for governor sort of on a lark. The establishment good ol' boys didn't like her, tried to accuse her of being a whore (remember the sacred honor thing?), and that guaranteed she would win. Posted by: Moron Robbie - Gluten Free Host Made In Facility That Sometimes Processes Peanuts Yep, pretty darn sad and pathetic. But you bring up a good point. Everyone is touting the "big" $285mil number as if it's a huge victory and "message" sent to the world. Right. Imagine one's child is getting an allowance of $10. To send a "message" to the child for his/her bad behavior, you dock your child's allowance by 5%. Imagine how "hurt" the child will be when their allowance goes from $10 to... $9.50. That's what this "victory" was at the UN. That said, -anything- being taken away from the UN is a good thing. Were Hillary in the White House, I'm sure she'd be -increasing- the USA's taxpayer contribution to the UN. So, just found this:
http://bit.ly/2lcDdnG February 2017, Trump Administration drafted an Executive Order to cut US payments to UN by as much as 40%. Instead, we know now that payments were cut by 5%*. That may be a win compared to 0% or an increase, but when the starting point was 40%? Hmmm... Also, current UN -regular- budget is $5.4bil over 2 years. USA taxpayer contribution is 22% of that, or $1.2bil over 2 years. ($600mil per year.) Over dozen other UN agencies/operations USA taxpayers support. Largest is "peacekeeping". "Peacekeeping" budget is $7.8bil this year alone. Of which, USA taxpayer contribution is 28%, or $2.2bil. So, total USA taxpayer contribution in 2017 is $600mil + $2.2bil = $2.8bil. * $285mil decrease from $2.8bil comes out to 10.2% decrease in USA taxpayer contribution. $285mil decrease from $10.5bil 2017 UN budget = 2.7% decrease in UN budget. So basically, changed the UN "allowance" from $10 to $9.70. Yes, better than nothing or an increase, but I bet the UN is treating this the same way a child would treat a decrease in their allowance from $10 to $9.70... Not just with his responsibilities as President, but also with his playing of the media and his enemies in Washington, D.C. That said, I think this is a lesson in marketing and short term memories of people. How many people remembered the President Trump executive order looking to get up to a 40% decrease? I know I didn't. And I'm pretty sure others didn't either, since negotiating a 10% decrease when starting at 40% does not seem like a huge win, as it is being marketed and praised. Nor does it seem like a huge win when the UN budget is decreased by only 2.7%. Granted, yes, like I said, -anything- is better than nothing or an increase. So kudos on that. But portraying this as some kind of huge victory is misleading. But, like you said, hopefully there is more to come in the long game... Right now, there is too much graft and force left over from the war, so, too many people living dirt poor in tin and cardboard shacks. The UN has had a field day there working their own form of graft, shutting down international adoption because they weren't getting their cut (it was a private deal, only approved by the government and not funded by it, so no cut for the "observerers," so the UN bankrolled a presidente who shut it down). However, they are a proud people and will, I believe, find a way to rise above that. What they need is madatory schooling for the populace. Once girls are being taught to read and write, I think they will move the country toward more transparency and prosperity. Until then, most of the girls are illiterate and relatively unemployable. It costs too much to send them to school. Only the rich are getting an education, which doesn't bode well for the poor. Posted by: tcn in AK at December 25, 2017 05:39 PM (NXsWM) 333

Satanists and commies and atheists showed up and heckled, shouted obscenities, and then dumped a bunch of condoms on the refreshment table. For one hour of Christmas songs and a creche.
