Director Bryan Singer, Long Accused of Hosting Underage Sex Parties, Sued for Rape of 17 Year Old Boy

Not statutory rape, but actual rape -- allegedly.

Singer has been accused before -- sometimes with the accusations being withdrawn and/or dismissed under circumstances that suggest maybe they were false in the first place. But Brett Easton Ellis, one-time bad boy 80s author and current contrarian podcaster, says that two of his former "partners" (which I think means boyfriends) told him they attended Singer's "underage sex parties."

Singer is cited in the 2014 documentary film on child sexual abuse in Hollywood, An Open Secret, although the film makes no specific allegations against him. Author Bret Easton Ellis alleges that two of his former partners have attended underage sex parties hosted by Singer and fellow director Roland Emmerich.

Now another lawsuit is launched:

The lawsuit, filed by Cesar Sanchez-Guzman's attorney, alleges that Singer was at a party, with young gay men, on tech investor Lester Waters' yacht in Seattle in 2003.

It claims that Singer offered to take a then-17 Guzman on a tour of the yacht, but when they got to one of the rooms, the director allegedly forced the teen to the floor, shoved his crotch against Guzman's face and demanded he perform oral sex.

Guzman goes onto say in the lawsuit, that Singer then pulled out his penis and forced it into his mouth, causing him to choke as he begged him to stop.

Singer allegedly forcibly performed oral sex on Guzman, who repeatedly told him to stop, before he anally raped him, according to the lawsuit.

The suit states that Singer later threatened Guzman, telling him he was a powerful Hollywood producer and that he could hire people to ruin his alleged victim's reputation.

Singer strenuously denies all claims.

Singer was recently fired from the Queen biopic "Boheman Rhapsody" for, allegedly, his "sudden availability," by which they mean he just wasn't showing up for the job. Singer disputed that claim in an impromptu interview with a papparazzo from TMZ, but said he didn't want to get into the actual reasons for the firing, which would be "inaccurate and embarrassing."

I don't know if Singer is guilty or innocent. But the Harvey Weinstein matter really changed my basic worldview.

As a conservative, and not really a libertarian conservative by inclination, I tend to support the existing order and assume that institutions charged with protecting that order are overwhelmingly fair.

I had previously viewed claims of widespread, endemic corruption and the license of the rich and connected as far-fetched, even conspiracy theorish. Great for movie plots, but not very realistic.

Sure, there must be corruption and payoffs here and there -- no system made by humans would lack that -- but it would isolated and rare.

But then came Harvey Weinstein -- and we see that, in fact, the institutions we think are generally fair and just in upholding the established order are in fact corrupt and riddled stem-to-stern with an agenda to protect not our collective favored order, but their own idea of what that order should be.

And sometimes, what they think that order should be is determined by the hand stuffing cash into their pockets.

And when I say "sometimes" I mean, I think now, "usually."

And then there's Mueller, to prove this still further.

This is a parlous time for our country. When people who are inherently biased towards believing institutions like DA's offices, cops, and the FBI -- people who are almost genetically programmed to have a bourgeois sort of outlook on the general benevolence of the established order -- decide, like radicals and many members of the underclass, that the entire game is corrupt and rigged in favor of a special few's caste privileges -- how many people are left, exactly, to support the established order?

28 All humans and human systems are capable of evil. All it takes is for "good men to do nothing" for the evil to blossom.

So whenever what we think of as watchdog groups, police, reporters, or other members of a group where one is being victimized do not expose or prosecute the wrong doing, the evil will flourish. This is as old as mankind. I do believe most people mostly want to be good and just need a small extra nudge of "must control any impulses to be evil or my peers, community etc will shun me" or in some faiths "must control and banish evil impulses because my g-d will know and shun me." But we see all around us and all throughout history what happens when negative feedbacks for evil impulses are removed.

The witch hunt happened earlier when the guilty were doing the whole "I'm just an innocent out for a stroll, the guys you want went that-a-way" thing. I find it fascinating that, now the guilty are *finally* getting what they did to others, the concern is about going to far.

This is an excellent point and one of the reasons I think Trump is going at this slowly and methodically and why people should resist the temptation to want to "burn it all down".

While we may be focused on this stuff to a high degree, we are unique. We are morons. Most people go about their lives and don't even entertain the possibility of the corruption we see. If they see corruption they see it as limited and contained.

But if you start tearing down institutions that the overwhelming population believes help keep order then you run the risk of chaos. Chaos is bad. Once chaos starts it's very difficult if not impossible to go back.

Better to do this slowly and methodically and reform the institutions than pretend we can rip it all apart and it will magically go back to what we want.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

For all time, the law enforcement community has favored the rich and powerful and tended to protect them, particularly very powerful and important industries in an area. This was usually offset by crusading journalists, angry leftists, etc. When Corporation X would pollute the rivers, eventually hippies got something done about it.

Not so the left's favored industries. From money laundering and lack of medical standards (not to mention mass murdering scum) in abortion clinics to handsy, rapey people in news and entertainment, these industries have been free to do whatever they wish forever because the usual suspects who go after big companies left them alone.

Black Navy Sailor Who Posted Photos of "Hate Crime" Vandalism of His Bunk on Carrier Now Proven to Have Faked The Whole Thing:

https://www.navytimes.com/news/your-navy/2017/12/08/ sailor-staged-racist-vandalism-navy-says/

"A sailor who claimed someone scrawled racial slurs on his bed aboard an aircraft carrier —sparking a viral Facebook post in the process — staged the incident himself, the Navy said Friday.

Marquie Little, a 27-year-old African American seaman, posted photos to Facebook on Nov. 15 under an alias that showed his rack on the carrier George H.W. Bush covered in trash and racial slurs.

“I proudly serve the Navy and this is what I’m receiving in return,” he wrote in the post.
...
But on Friday Cmdr. Dave Hecht, a spokesman for Naval Air Force Atlantic, said “a thorough investigation” conducted with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service found inconsistencies in the sailor’s account.

“A NCIS-supported command investigation following claims of racially-motivated vandalism aboard the (carrier) has determined that the alleged victim staged the incident himself,” Hecht said in an email."

(yes I read the gray boxes and know that doesn't apply to this or to many rape cases) it just seems to apply to a lot of the lesser accusations.

I'm not a parent but please parents tell your kids they are allowed to elbow in the ribs and then to stomp on a foot, kick shins, knee groins etc. as well as hollering "help fire." in response to 'bad touching.'

I watched that movie once. I was sickened b/c I knew it was true...and that by glamourizing it, the problem would become worse.

It was like "Wall Street" with Michael Douglas. They thought they were making a movie about the sordid side of Wall Street. An anti-Wall Street. But the audience loved the glamourous world and "greed is good" line. Wall Street was always sleazy, but that movie helped bring in even sleazier scum.

Wall Street used to build leaders...not anymore. All our institutions are full of moral rot, b/c it appears people have chosen moral decay over ethics, integrity, honor.

biased towards believing institutions like DA's offices, cops, and the
FBI -- people who are almost genetically programmed to have a bourgeois
sort of outlook on the general benevolence of the established order --
decide, like radicals and many members of the underclass, that the
entire game is corrupt and rigged in favor of a special few's caste
privileges -- how many people are left, exactly, to support the
established order?

This describes me. I was a boy scout for most of my life but watching what the Democrat Party has been doing to my country, starting with when Billy Jeff got elected, has made me start questioning my allegiance to this country.

171 The meaning of Depeche Mode.

http://www.eightyeightynine.com/music/depeche-mode.html

it's kind of interesting. The "Fast" or "Hurry Up" is a mistaken translation, coming from se depecher (hurry oneself up). But the noun depeche (dialectical marks omitted) is derived from that, and means "dispatch." Which you can see is related to the english, and also related to se depecher, as a dispatch is news which is hurried to the receiver.

Depeche Mode, it turns out, is just the name of a French fashion magazine whose name translates as "Fashion Dispatch" or "Fashion News."

172 the west must be destroyed, because the average Westerner is advanced enough to understand they must fight the "fascists" or they will lose all for which ore forefathers fought.

So the globalist elite have been sending in the third world armies, and selling the commie "multi-culti" diversity crap for decades. Then they sold us on globalist markets where a few elite leverage up and get government to underwrite their gambling.

Now most of the nation with "savings" are invested in their funny money scams, and we the people are invested in global conglomerates, and have to hope they don't crash our life savings (which they could do, and they will be short on the way down)

So first we must re-establish the nation state and the evil of multi-culti forced 'diversity' But it is a long road out ... viva la revolucion.

204 btw, I thought Psych was a big disappointment, and I really wasn't expecting that much.

The plot wasn't just bad (as many psych plots are); it was terrible. Sean did barely any detection and the only psychic shenanigans occurred in a subplot unrelated to the real plot.

I don't expect good plots from Psych, but 1, usually even if the plot is lame Sean is still *driving* the narrative forward, whereas in the movie, things just seemed to happen at Gus and Sean, and 2, Psych has in fact had a handful of decent plots, and you'd think, with four years to write this script, they could at least come up with a decent plot as they had in the past.

PS I don't believe Juliett is a dirty cop and also the writers (Franks and Roday) seemed not to believe it either, as they contradicted that plot point by having Juliett say she'd done nothing illegal and the only stuff she confessed to was this very vague "coloring outside the lines."

a couple of cute character moments and catchphrases ("Do you, Sean"), but just an especially silly and dumb long episode.

230 I think it is important to note that many, many, many child victims of sexual and physical abuse do not go on and repeat it. They are scarred by it, and they could never, and would never, think of visiting that same horror on other children.

It is true that some pedos, etc. do have it in their background. Or say they do, once they get caught.

But the majority of victims do not victimize others. That usually gets left out of the court room cases, b/c that does not help the defense.

Anyway, it is a reason, but not an excuse, for behavior.

232 Look, I'm willing to concede that they don't like Trump. hell, they may even think he is going to be a disaster. I get it. The problem with that thinking, which could very well be right, is that you don't just think you might be right in a normal sort of wait and see way, but you KNOW you are right, in a must act now even if it is inappropriate/illegal.

It is that kind of thinking that convinces people to do crazy stupid things. In fact, there is an enormous lack of self knowledge involved, of narcissism. Just because Trump may be wrong, doesn't mean whatever they are planning is right.

We have an enormous number of self envisioned heroes, willing to happily strangle Hitler in his crib. That is literally how these people think. I am saving the world from Trump. But the thing is - Trump is definitely not Hitler - at all. he is not pursuing policies anywhere near that.

At some point some of these people have realized they are way, way too far in. They realize they have committed actual crimes - crimes for which they could be held accountable, and go to jail. It's not fair! They are smart and good people! So they embark on protecting each other, further compounding and extending their numerous errors in judgement.

I forget the title, might have been "Sean and Gus Save Darth Vader" -- the one where Sean sneaks into the British consulate in Santa Barbara (whatever) and hides under a bed where he finds a corpse. Then he has to pretend he just psychically saw the corpse and lead the cops there, to make sure he's not arrested for the murder himself.

Good plot.

Also, best plot was in "Ghosts," which had a Roger Aykroyd style solution. That's the one where Gus is told he must stop working for Psych or else he'll be fired, but it turns out the CEO of his company has a haunting at his house, so Sean and Gus investigate it.

We kinda sorta know that a seemingly high percentage of Hollywood
parents willingly sell their children into sex slavery (or turn a blind

Yep, or willing to put their kids through whatever it takes so they
can get the money and parties and connections. Rich child actor = rich
parents who are at parties. The kids don't get the money, usually, the
parents do to "handle" for them. And necessarily they have to be with
the children as they do things. Get to be on sets, hang out with the
actors, etc.
-----

There is another thing that *we* don't consider because we're not liberal.

In my experience, liberals have different views in regards to sexual activity not only between adults but between adults and children. For some, sex is no different than getting a pedicure or any other common activity. It's nothing special. Simply a biological act.

They also don't believe it's a big deal for children to have sex, and many directly or indirectly encourage their children to become sexually active at a young age. They teach how to give blow jobs in pre-K now, right?

So, if you think sex is no big deal and that kids having sex is natural, why would they have a problem with their kids having sex with a stranger if it gets them a paying gig?

That storyline (being vague to avoid spoilers) really needs to be set up so you feel there's a menace to it. The first 80% of the movie was about some criminal clowns you can't take seriously. they were comic relief.

Is there any doubt at all that this shit has been going on for decades? Since the dawn of Hollywood and of government? This is all shocking to us, not just because we, the general public, probably didn't know, but because, someone is finally being held accountable.

Look the Steele smear, in a different time and place, would have been easily gotten away with. In the 1950s? 60s? 70s? Please. Kennedy was a near crippled opiod addict who serially cheated on his wife. None of that came out till the 1990s.

I suspect Dan Rather was outraged about the Bush shit not because it didn't happen - but because he got caught doing what he had been doing for decades. These guys are getting caught more and more often - CNN fake news is becoming more and more obvious - anyone can check on their reports. Sometimes the truth is just a mouse click away.

And regarding Mueller - this is the same play they made over Dick Cheney and Scooter Libby. They only partially succeeded there....but it is the same wacky stupid made-up crap. Right down to phony reports from overseas operatives.

Again, it is not because there is more of it, it is because we can see it more readily than ever before. We can see the patterns of manipulation and lies.

306 yeah 5mm for a surrogate? is that the going rate because you would think people would be lining up around the block to get knocked up.

even worse, how repulsive do you have to be to offer some girl 5mm for knocking her up, get rejected, have her go public?

How do you not get laid when you offer 5mm? Everyone here could get laid for $5mm.

307 ...but Jackson being abused himself couldn't stop himself from abusing other kids.

I reject that. The majority of those that have been abused, do not want to visit that horror on others.

Jackson could have stopped himself, simply by not putting himself in a position where the temptation existed. Like having little boys over for sleepovers. He could have also gotten help...he had enough money.

Feldman was too old for him, to be honest. Or maybe no longer had the innocence pedos look for.

Anyway, I'm just making the point that being abused does not mean you will abuse, in fact, it often means you won't, b/c you know the soul-crushing damage. But some don't care and repeat it. But they make that adult choice...to be monsters.

Yep. I'd agree.

If you go onto the google and search "depeche mode tour" in news, you'll see some pretty shocking articles.

As in "WTF? Depeche Mode?"

However, they had really talented, top notch people work on their tour; it's well thought out, and visually, quite nice. Not your typical cr@p.

"A single ejaculation can yield as many as 500 straws, or as few as 50. An industrious bull may perform every day; a lazy one only once a week. Thanks to the laws of supply and demand, a lazy bull with a low output but a very high proof will command the top prices. His semen is like gold dust."

You have to be obstinate not to recognize it.

Posted by: garrett at December 08, 2017 07:21 PM (QZXCf)

--Agreed.

For sentimental reasons, I probably block out more of the bad of the '80s and some of the good of the '90s. I consider much of the Top 40 of the '80s better, but in any case, both decades are better than now.

One measure in my mind is: How long does the average song stay #1?

If a song is #1 for over two weeks, it oughta be fucking good, as a pop song.

Shit nowadays is often #1 for over a month, and none if it is "Hey Jude"

I don't really see the problem here. Maybe he was clumsy about it, but how do you know if someone would do this unless you ask?

So imagine you work in a large and prominent public company. You are senior management, run a large division, at least VP level.

You ask one of your junior aides if you can Widespread Pepe her, put a baby in her, and for her trouble you will pay her handsomely. Then she says no and you cut off her access to you in the professional space.

How long do you think they would give you to clean out your desk?

Oh boy. This sounds REALLY familiar.

At my last company, about 10 years ago, one of the FEMALE sales people asked one of the female sales admins to be a surrogate for her and her husband. Thing is, she DEFINITELY was talking about doing it the old fashioned way (and frankly, they weren't believable as prospective parents). Scared the crap out of the sales admin, because the husband all of the sudden started to go to the office nearly every day to pick up his wife for lunch......and would smile and say hello to the sales admin. Management didn't know about it, because the assholes were sneaky.

When the sales admin reported it about 2 weeks later (while she was giving her notice at the same time), it was like a frickin' whirlwind. The randy sales lady was practically thrown out of the building by the end of the day, and there was a nasty little talk with the husband and the 6'4" rugby-playing sales director who basically promised a long stay in the ICU if he ever showed his face again.

Creepy assholes come in both genders, and they're quite likely to team up to get what they want.

The pictures I've seen from the California fires surpass any I've seen before. The pictures of people driving to work with the fires all around them were extraordinary. Like they were driving through mountains of fire into hellmouth.

Visually, it was mesmerizing; spectacular visuals. But it's horrifying. And heartbreaking to see all the destruction.

One fireman said they were using the "purple" warning...and that they'd never done that before.

Somewhere else, a person was explaining that as long as the state doesn't put/allow firebreaks in the desert, this will continue to happen. They also explained about creosote. I don't know if person was correct, but it was interesting.

I'm glad you are safe. May it stay that way.

525 "When people who are inherently biased towards believing institutions like DA's offices, cops, and the FBI -- people who are almost genetically programmed to have a bourgeois sort of outlook on the general benevolence of the established order -- decide, like radicals and many members of the underclass, that the entire game is corrupt and rigged in favor of a special few's caste privileges -- how many people are left, exactly, to support the established order?"

You get the late Russian Empire, which had virtually no support among the Russian middle class and much of the upper class, and had to resort to increasingly draconian measures to maintain authority, due to the lack of public support.

We know how that turned out.
