The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely. Rodin

Quote II

God cannot alter the past, though historians can. Samuel Butle

Quote III

When you're young, you don't have any experience - you're charged up, but you're out of control. And if you're old and you're not charged up, then all you have is memories. But if you're charged and stimulated by what's going on around you, and you also have experience, you know what to appreciate and what to pass by.
Neil Young

When you call a company, racist establishment with a long account of racial profiling and discrimination," You better be able to back that statement up.

Oberlin College and its vice president have been accused of libel and slander by a local bakery, the owners of which allege in a suit that administrators supported students in an unfounded campaign to paint the establishment's owners as racist.

The suit against the college and Meredith Raimondo, who is also dean of students, was filed on Nov. 7 in Lorain County Common Pleas Court on behalf of Gibson Bros. Inc., and owners David and Allyn Gibson, the Morning Journal reported.

It isn't the first time Oberlin College has been in the news regarding food.

Be very wary and afraid of me. Occidental Professor Warns: Be 'Suspicious of Males Who Strongly Identify as Men'

In an article for Public Books, Lisa Wade, a sociology professor at Occidental College (which, I’m embarrassed to say, is my alma mater) recently wrote that “we should reject the idea that men have a psychic need to distinguish themselves from women.” Why? Because “masculinity is toxic.” In fact, we should be “suspicious of males who strongly identify as men.”

How's that open borders, welcome all immigration working out for you Germany? Nothing says "Welcome Home" like raping a pony in front of onlookers.

Police have arrested a 23-year-old Syrian for allegedly raping a pony at a children's zoo in Berlin; the man's crime was witnessed by shocked visitors who took a photo of the incident and handed it over to the authorities.
The incident occurred at around 3pm on Friday, November 3 at the Kinderbauernhof (children's farm) area of the German capital's Goelitzer Park. The man was spotted by a babysitter, who was visiting the zoo with a child.

"My babysitter was at Goerlitzer Park with our son when they witnessed the man carrying out a sexual act on the pony," a woman told the Berliner Morgenpost, adding that her babysitter had informed park staff about the incident but is unwilling to talk about it anymore because it was too traumatizing.

Something tells me that "My Little Pony" believes in extreme vetting.

The old, I have some good news and I have some bad news. What do you want to hear first?

Shocking photos show how a man staged his own murder – complete with fake bullet hole in his head – after discovering his wife had hired a hitman to kill him. Boxing coach Ramon Sosa posed as a blood-stained corpse to help police catch his wife Maria ‘Lulu’ Sosa. She hired the hitman to carry out the killing for just £1,500 – then laughed when she saw a photo of her ‘dead’ husband

8 happy years. Ha.

Does music help you concentrate? Music may not help you as much as you think it does.

Many of us listen to music while we work, thinking that it will help us to concentrate on the task at hand. And in fact, recent research has found that music can have beneficial effects on creativity. When it comes to other areas of performance, however, the impact of background music is more complicated.

The assumption that listening to music when working is beneficial to output likely has its roots in the so-called “Mozart effect”, which gained wide media attention in the early 1990s. Put simply, this is the finding that spatial rotation performance (mentally rotating a 3D dimensional shape to determine whether it matches another or not) is increased immediately after listening to the music of Mozart, compared to relaxation instructions or no sound at all. Such was the attention that this finding garnered that the then US governor of Georgia, Zell Miller, proposed giving free cassettes or CDs of Mozart’s music to prospective parents.

Drain the swamp.

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) said on Friday that if the allegations against Alabama candidate for U.S. Senate Roy Moore are true, he should step aside, and “should be dealt with severely.”

But Graham not only hasn’t called for Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez (N.J.), accused of having sex with underage prostitutes, to step aside — he also went to New Jersey on his own dime two weeks ago to testify as a character witness in Menendez’s corruption trial, telling the judge that Menendez is “very honest” and “honorable.”

The Armed Forces, this time, The Army continues to tinker socially with itself.

WASHINGTON – People with a history of “self-mutilation,” bipolar disorder, depression and drug and alcohol abuse can now seek waivers to join the Army under an unannounced policy enacted in August, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY.

The decision to open Army recruiting to those with mental health conditions comes as the service faces the challenging goal of recruiting 80,000 new soldiers through September 2018. To meet last year's goal of 69,000, the Army accepted more recruits who fared poorly on aptitude tests, increased the number of waivers granted for marijuana use and offered hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses.

Expanding the waivers for mental health is possible in part because the Army now has access to more medical information about each potential recruit, Lt. Col. Randy Taylor, an Army spokesman, said in a statement. The Army issued the ban on waivers in 2009 amid an epidemic of suicides among troops.

Just like the Air Force now has better access to providing dishonorable discharge paperwork...........

Maybe a reference to Ko-ko's song in The Mikado, in which the Lord High Executioner (who has never actually executed anyone) pulls out his list of possible victims: society offenders "who never would be missed." Most recent performances update Gilbert and Sullivan's original list.

Here's one from 2012, which references "lady terrorists":

A fine day. Five and a half hours at a friend's birthday. Funny thing, the conversational noise that once might have been a bit much for me? I sat back and found it relaxing, even if I wasn't involved.

It's a funny thing. Since I moved to my new apartment, I feel more...normal than I have in years.

Side note, I would request anonymous prayers for an online (elsewhere) friend whose mother is in likely the final days of her fight with cancer. Added to a father with advancing Alzheimer's, she's not taking things well. Prayers for the mother to find peace and mercy, and the family for the strength to get through this difficult time.

Here's the mistake the murdering wives tend to make. They want their husband wacked and they aren't bright enough to know the difference between a criminal who does things like burglaries, and an actual murderer. So they meet up with some guy who served a couple years for B & E.

The guy thinks, " No way am I risking life in prison for that stupid woman," and goes running to the cops. They have him tell the genius that he's found someone who'll do the job. An undercover cop gets her on tape paying him to kill hubby, and they've got her.

His defense will be... that under Islamic Law, as the Pony was NOT wearing a Burkha, it was AKSING to be raped...

plus, in order for it to be rape under Islamic Law, either the victim or a MALE RELATIVE must make the accusation...

Thus.... now a crime under Islam...

Case... closed...

This happened several times over the years and was becoming more and more frequent. She would also run up the credit cards, he'd pay them off and she'd run them up again. When off her meds or when they stopped working she became very argumentative and he had to commit her several times. It finally got to a point where he had to divorce her for his own health. I can't believe the Army is considering allowing people like this to enlist. We are in deep trouble as a country.

186 When I bing "Neil Young" the first thing I get is:

The first track to emerge from Neil Young's upcoming album The Visitor is 'Already Great', a response to the Donald Trump slogan 'Make America Great Again'

...

Already Great reflects Young's reaction to the direction he sees the US heading in, and opens with the lines, "I'm a Canadian by the way and I love the USA," while the refrain features the lyrics, "Already great, you're already great. You're the promised land, the helping hand. No wall. No hate. No fascist USA. Whose street? Our street!"

http://tinyurl.com/y7b8eox7

So he seems like a leftist asshole.

Tell you what, Neil. Let's say a man was told that in order to be "great" he had to remove the door from his house so that criminals could enter it, harm his family as well as himself, and despoil him. If the man, anxious to be well thought of, were to follow this advice, would that make him "great" or "stupid"?

Fuck you Neil. Show us how "great" you are first and then maybe others will take you seriously. He's like a Pharisee "You lay down heavy burdens on people's shoulders and refuse to lift a finger to help".

When will some former underage groupie come forward and send this shitstain into oblivion where he belongs?

----------------

You know, I've actually gotten into arguments over this. The reason we (society in general) ban bestiality is because it's fucked up sick shit, not because of any concern for the animal.

Some lefties (when it comes to sick sex) and libertarians will try to pretend that protecting the animal is the rational basis for banning bestiality.

You can get them tied in knots with the "Love wins" argument. Okay, then let's allow a brother and sister (or worse) to get married... "That's incest!". Okay, forget about that, how about a brother and brother. Same sex incest?

"That's still incest!" Well, why, no children can be produced. There's no rational basis for it.....

Some will attempt to short circuit this argument, and not have to follow the logic, by screaming, "Are you comparing being gay to incest! You H8R!".

I know. It's beyond retarded. They try to say that someone having sex with a dog is bad because the dog can't give consent. A male dog just tried to screw my shin, and the coffee table leg, and the couch ... and the lefties are trying to claim that someone finally nailing a bitch is "raping" the poor thing because she couldn't give her consent - as she does to the table-fucker. It would make you laugh ... if you didn't know that these leftist idiots were being taken seriously by people.

The fact is that leftists are looking for a way to normalize beastiality, eventually. I bet it's at the top of their list, since it's so utterly abhorrent to normal people. So, they are trying to back into it by arguing that there's nothing wrong with beastiality but that it should (currently) remain illegal because of the laughable consent argument. As soon as they can get that whole idea firmly implanted they'll pull the rug out from under the "it can't give consent" argument, since it's such a total joke, to begin with.

"Raping a pony" ... I mean, really. Can you imagine what that guy would look like if that pony decided that it didn't want that Syrian on its ass? If it were here the lefties would be pushing for federal civil rights violations (of the pony) filed against their pet Syrian (all just for show, of course, as they really would like the Syrians to do that stuff all over the place).

They can't admit how screwed up their logic is.

We can sheep tethered up all its life. Mate it with other sheep to get the desired offspring. Kill a sheep, eat its flesh, turn its hide into clothing for ourselves. We obviously are not getting the sheep's consent for any of this. We don't take their consent into it in any way in the way the we treat animals. They are property.

Bestiality is not rape, it's just a disgusting act performed by mental defectives. They used to have a word in psychology to describe these people.

Bestiality laws, and in some countries laws involving minors like in Denmark, were repealed when laws against sodomy were repealed because they were all lumped together as "crimes against nature".

The question of consent is indeed the only legal argument against these sexual activities. It is also one that can be legally and socially far more fungible than any of us here would like.

363 Because "masculinity is toxic." In fact, we should be "suspicious of males who strongly identify as men."

========

I think liberalism is toxic. I'm suspicious of humans that identify strongly as liberal. Something needs to be done.

The problem is not toxic masculinity; it's that masculinity is toxic. Its appeal is its alluring promise that if we obey it, we can all bask in a sense of superiority over someone. It's simply not compatible with liberty and justice for all.

I thought this was a human problem. Think Hillary or the mayor of San Juan, or Cristina Kirchner of Argentina who had some attorney assassinated.

Ah, but just as Muslims who murder people in the name of Islam aren't "real" Muslims, the primary source article has a loophole for this. Women who act this way have bought into "toxic masculinity". I guess "empowered women" are not true women?

http://www.publicbooks.org/big-picture-confronting-manhood-trump/

We need to stop talking about what it means to be a "real man" or an "empowered woman," and begin talking, instead, about what it means to be a good person and a good citizen.

It's a mixture of Trump bashing, and a conflation of "identifying as male" with a bunch of undesirable traits shared by both sexes. It's just self refuting garbage. Another liberal accusing her selected opponents of doing what she is doing.

No, it's not. And there's no real concept of "consent" from animals, to begin with.

It is also one that can be legally and socially far more fungible than any of us here would like.

Posted by: The Consentable Hat at November 12, 2017 11:01 PM (itfg0)

Well, if you force something to happen enough then society can become inured to it ... sure ... especially if you start penalizing and jailing those who protest and refuse to accept it as normal. And I know the history of sheep-fucking and the like, but that doesn't make it any more acceptable to civilized people today. I doubt many in the past who were outside of that particular environment accepted it, either. I don't know, but I would think not.

I wondered what 3rd degree sodomy was in Kentucky. I had to look it up.

It involves oral or buttstuff with someone who can't legally consent.

So legally (which I was wondering -- considering the Supreme Court decisions), it has to be non-consensual.

So, if she gave him a BJ, that could be 3rd degree sodomy. Even if he did stuff to her, it could still be her charged with it.

379 @294 Insomniac-Ask them for a date, number. If there is a female that has engaged you in idle chit chat like a checker, waitress, bank teller(got to be careful, they can get in trouble). Even if it's them "being nice", so what. If you are attracted to them, let your intentions be known. If you ask a gal for a date, # or whatever and she says no, be cool, don't lose your shit. Keep on being nice to her. Be patient and she will remember you still being a nice guy and not a petulant little bitch. That "nice guys finish last" cliche is steaming pile of BS. Most important is ask or engaging them in conversation. Even if you're nervous and feel like you might shit your pants, F'ing go for it. What's the worst that can happen other than you're still going home and having to jerkoff. Takes practice but it'll pay off some time. Ask enough and eventually you will find some that'll say yes. Got to keep your numbers up for any kind of success.

Well, it *could* be what you're thinking, but not likely.

Under KY law, sodomy is "deviate sexual intercouse", and that involved the genitals and the mouth or anus or another. The degrees depend on the ages involved, apparently.

Gay or lesbo stuff would've be 4th degree, even if consensual, and that's still on the book, the Internet says, but would be unconstitutional. No one has been charged with it since, so it's never been officially thrown out.

But the higher degrees involve legal consent.

421 The question of consent is indeed the only legal argument against these sexual activities.

No, it's not. And there's no real concept of "consent" from animals, to begin with.

Once they made claim that sexualities were innate like race or biological sex, and that discriminating against different sexualities was wrong, the concept of "consent" is the only logical limit they can try to apply.

487 Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott issued a statement on the 3 UCLA players being arrested.

"It has provided a real distraction and unwanted publicity, which distracts from what overall has been a tremendous experience and a tremendous week for the UCLA and Georgia Tech students," Scott said before the game. "We've had a chance to apologize for the unwelcome attention it has brought. There's nothing new. We're monitoring the situation and staying in close contact with the students, and we hope the situation resolves itself soon."

488 Aaaaaaargh, This is my pet peeve. I will say it againand I will go. because it's late Sex between teachers and students who are minors is wrong. period,

If you are having sex with your students and you are 29 and they are 17 or whatever you are a terrible person who should never teach again. To hell with the idea of "hot" teachers. I am not a violent person. but if some teacher was having sex with my son who is a senior in high school she or he would find themselves with a lawsuit quicker than they could turn around. They might also find my fist against their jaw.. Go find someone to have sex with who is not your student.

Indeed, it's problematic to be having sex with anyone who is currently your student,,, but minors.?!!

From the wiki entry for cyanoacrylate (super glue):

While standard "superglue" is 100% ethyl cyanoacrylate, many custom formulations (e.g., 91% ECA, 9% poly(methyl methacrylate), <0.5% hydroquinone, and a small amount of organic sulfonic acid,[17] and variations on the compound n-butyl-cyanoacrylate for medical applications[12]) have come to be used for specific applications. There are 3 cyanoacrylate compounds currently available as topical skin adhesives. 2-Octyl-cyanoacrylate is marketed as Dermabond and SurgiSeal. n-2-Butyl-cyanoacrylate is marketed as Histoacryl, Indermil, GluStitch, GluSeal, PeriAcryl, and LiquiBand. The compound 2-Ethyl-cyanoacrylate is available as Epiglu.[18]

Always remember, we are Americans, so that head is held HIGH. With ever increasing reason.

The rest of the path will not be an easy one and I may not live to see the final outcome. But I know with every fiber of my being we WILL prevail.

639 Interesting fact about beavers from wikipedia. They can be eaten on Fridays by Catholics:

In the 17th century, based on a question raised by the Bishop of Quebec, the Roman Catholic Church ruled that the beaver was a fish (beaver flesh was a part of the indigenous peoples' diet, prior to the Europeans' arrival) for purposes of dietary law. Therefore, the general prohibition on the consumption of meat on Fridays did not apply to beaver meat. The legal basis for the decision probably rests with the Summa Theologica of Thomas Aquinas, which bases animal classification as much on habit as anatomy. This is similar to the Church's classification of other semi-aquatic rodents, such as the capybara and muskrat.

Maybe when the Bible says Jonah was swallowed by great fish, it really meant that he ended up inside a giant beaver.

There's no "double barrel" on the soundtrack list for that movie (the 1971 movie). Either you're thinking of a different movie or a different song.

There was a "Double Barrel" on the soundtrack of "The Harder They Come" in 1970 (an excellent film, though almost impossible to understand without subtitles). Not an instrumental, though.

653 Uncle Palp with the weird Balkan Zydeco music vids for the "WTF?"

i remember the time i got my ass chewed by some dumb PAO bimbo from OTAG who was out BSing the press at a CA ARNG dog pony show at Club Bob, back around the turn of the century.

she was prattling on to them about how wonderful our efforts over there were, and i told my van full of assholes that, as a GI with almost 20 in, and family from that shithole, that there was nothing there worth all the Americans lives already lost, and the money wasted, and that we should just seal the borders, execute the survivors and sell the land to humans.

she was NOT pleased, and i can't imagine why.

but then one of her charges threw a shoe, had an MCI and i had to break every post rule about speed, driving, etc, to get him to the chopper pad for a Dust-Off* to a real hospital so he wouldn't die. she was just a tad conflicted.

* i got him there before they could have launched to come get him.
