Mueller Now Investigating the Podesta Group for Russia Lobbying

Print story here.

According to Monday’s NBC News report, Manafort organized a PR campaign for a pro-Ukraine nonprofit called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine (ECMU), which reportedly was backed by a pro-Russia party. The Podesta Group reportedly was one of many firms that worked on the campaign.

According to NBC News, Mueller's team began looking at Podesta and his company and is now pursuing a criminal inquiry into whether the company violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).

The media doesn't like to talk about this, but Paul Manafort and the Podesta Group both worked to lobby on behalf of Russia -- so if Manafort's being investigated, why not the brother of Hillary's top adviser?

But now Robert Mueller's on the case to cover it up.

Maybe Mueller will give the Podesta Group a sweetheart plea deal like his FBI gave the Russian uranium racketeer.

The Uranium One scandal is not only, or even principally, a Clinton scandal. It is an Obama-administration scandal.

The Clintons were just doing what the Clintons do: cashing in on their "public service." The Obama administration, with Secretary Clinton at the forefront but hardly alone, was knowingly compromising American national-security interests. The administration green-lighted the transfer of control over one-fifth of American uranium-mining capacity to Russia, a hostile regime --and specifically to Russia's state-controlled nuclear-energy conglomerate, Rosatom.

Worse, at the time the administration approved the transfer, it knew that Rosatom’s American subsidiary was engaged in a lucrative racketeering enterprise that had already committed felony extortion, fraud, and money-laundering offenses. Powered by The Obama administration also knew that congressional Republicans were trying to stop the transfer. Consequently, the Justice Department concealed what it knew. DOJ allowed the racketeering enterprise to continue compromising the American uranium industry rather than commencing a prosecution that would have scotched the transfer. Prosecutors waited four years before quietly pleading the case out for a song, in violation of Justice Department charging guidelines. Meanwhile, the administration stonewalled Congress, reportedly threatening an informant who wanted to go public.

Robert Mueller must resign. Immediately. Or be fired by Ron Rosenstein.

Who, frankly, given his high position in the DOJ throughout this period, is also up to his neck in this and must at least recuse himself.

Using Sgt La David Johnson's widow for cheap political gain, and her allowing herself to be used, the twisting and misrepresenting of Trump's words to her, the pre-planned media capaign, the eagerness of anti-Trump
types to believe anything, the utter viciousness of it all, is pissing me off.

There's much tuttutting about how Americans do not trust any type of civil organization and my response to all of that is why should we trust them?

The FBI labs.

The DOJ and US attorneys offices engaging in nigh to whole sale abuses of office and malfeasance during prosecutions.

The revelations about how shot through with corruption and incompetence is the Secret Service.

Why on Earth would I trust the FBI or the DOJ or the Secret Service? They have proven untrustworthy.

Which brings me to the Menendez trial. Do I think a NJ Senator is corrupt? Oh. Gee. Let me think about that long and hard, hmmm, that's a difficult question, hmm. Do I think the US Attorneys office would TED STEVENS TED STEVENS TED STEVENS ahem sorry abuse its office and withhold evidence improperly? Hmmm. What a difficult dilemma!

I *want* to trust that when the FBI labs says something is a match it's true, not black magic.

I *want* to believe that the DOJ upholds the Constitution and doesn't view the Fourth Amendment as some pesky annoyance.

I *want* to believe that the Secret Service is the very best of the best who accepts risks that I cannot imagine.

But I can't.

Months later, Rusnano, a Kremlin-backed investment fund founded by Vladimir Putin, pumped $35 million into Joule. Serving alongside Podesta on Joule's board were senior Russian official Anatoly Chubais and oligarch Ruben Vardanyan, who has been appointed by Putin to a Russian economic modernization council.

2) If he really didn't have to recuse himself, why did he? Perhaps because of the hard choices DOING HIS FUCKING JOB would require?!!!

ha ... not exactly funny, but here a former asst. DA went through 2 trials for murdering his wife, with kids in the house. Seemed guilty as hell to me, but not guilty the final verdict. But the prosecution was delayed for 8 years.

The problem with leaving the pillow on head after suffocating, is rigor sets in and the arms stay up as if the pillow was still there. That was the case with this guy ... but not enough evidence they say. (his very young kids' stories were his alibi, but they had conflicting stories) Case made national news a few times, including Greta.

anyway ... pro advice ... remove the pillow.

appeal to the more noble motive ... I like it, but it requires a noble person.

With the dirty tricks in Mueller's past, and friends in low places ... he is more likely interested in protecting "the family". Yeah ... the organized crime guys maybe, but his own family as well. Looking at the dirt he has hired, he has no intention of raining the swamp ... he came in as the hit man to take out Trump (to use Maxine's direct language) ... and Rosenstein gave him the unlimited power, no confining directives ... to look everywhere.

They are protecting their own legacy that has lots of skeletons ... no way they want to open those closets. Drain the swamp and the skeletons appear. imo
