46 The painting is interesting. He uses colors easy to attribute to well known artists (the mild yellows in Vermeer, the blues and violets of some Low Country styles, etc.) then introduces an element of fantasy.

Look up Valentin Rekunenko. There is a site that shows the HUGE variety of styles, Picasso to classic artists, and subject matter. His talent is obvious and his imaginative scenes are fascinating.

Thanks to OM and CBD for bringing this artist to my attention. I definitely want to learn more about him.

48 Before the Addams Family, Thing was a bright, optimistic, and rising star in the world of architecture. Then he fell in love with an artsy fartsy chick who did not bathe so bugs followed her around. He professed his love at a museum where she rejected him and went off to live in a commune with a jazz/klezmer fusion supergroup. Dejected, Thing descended into a world of alcoholism, thrill seeking, and sex addiction. Gomez Addams rescued him from his squalid life and restored him to good health, thus earning Things eternal loyalty.

This really is a heartbreaking painting.

Young Billy had heard of this painting,
That if some swain presented a rose,
And the painting took a liking to,
The woman of his dreams would step out,
Well Billy took up the quest,
Since all the refined ladies of college,
Kept turning their noses and their backs,
For they found his folksy cadence off-putting,
So he did present a rose he could afford,
The painting was so angered by the wilted thing,
Hillary stepped out.

355 They just cannot let slavery go. It means too much to them now. It's a
justification, it's an excuse they can repeatedly use, it helps them
maintain they're self esteem when life gets difficult, it unites them
and binds them.
I fear they will never ever be free of it.
===========
They need slavery as a justification for the wholesale failure of their communities--even after being given every possible advantage.

Which is why we had that article last week where the BLM was demanding some university stop accepting so many African blacks: Their success is an embarrassment to the American blacks.

But, take away slavery, and they'll just cry racism.

Words not use? Personal responsibility, personal accountability.

356 Never mind that we had American families fighting against each other (like mine) in order to put a stop to it 150 years ago.

Yes, Frederica, that was 150 years ago.

357 >>So I see they are parading around the "bereaved" widow of the green Beret to say Trump made her cry... The death of her husband didn't? This is all bullshit....

Yep. As I said a couple days ago when some folks were saying she was too upset to involved with this, she is a willing participant. I'm sorry for her loss but my sympathy is greatly tempered by her using her husband's death for political points.

Have you noticed that none of the other spouses or relatives of the other 3 soldiers who were killed have make a public spectacle of this issue? I wonder why?

they don't know what a Holocaust is.

Good God. How do they think the Black population is at the levels it is now if Blacks had been systematically murdered.

As reprehensible an act if only one was ever done, even lynchings were not done to the extent the media tries to make out as happening.

Blacks haven't had half the violence unleashed against them as say the Whites in Rhodesia or South Africa

I would tack on the John Wetton years as well, but yeah.

The interesting thing about hearing this concert with the very old juxtaposed right next to the new is how you could see what Fripp was trying to do musically all along but didn't have the musicians? or technology? or song writing skills? to get what he wanted and so had to work around it-

it made for more interesting music.

He's the dog who caught the car however and somehow dragged it to a halt.

A lot of sameness and similar musical tropes used over and over in the later stuff.

366 There is nothing that can be done to "fix" Black Lives Matter's imaginary problem.

What they want is to be able to commit crimes without interference by police.

That's not happening, I hope.

367 The man and woman have been parted by death.

The engraved figures of the man and woman in the bottom of the frame show this (each on his or her own "curl" of wood with a space between).

Yet a cobweb still connects the two figures.

What does the moth on the wall add? It, along with the cobwebs, probably does indicate that the life of the man has fallen into some level of disrepair since his wife died. And yet this disrepair is, at least in part, due to the fact that his love for her is still alive.

Perhaps all of this could have been achieved without a freaky-ass hand reaching out from the painting.

Read up on the history of "Resorts International" and their subsiderary "Intertel" aka "private spooks for hire." They go way back hooked into the intelligence agencies, organized crime, and international fraudsters like Robert Vesco. They have always had lots to hide.
