It Begins? Former Teen Actor Accuses Talent Agent of Sexual Abuse

I don't know if this accusation is true or not, but whether true or not, perhaps the taboo against reporting sexual crimes against Hollywood kids has been erased.

“Tyler Grasham, under the pretense of a business meeting regarding potential agency representation at APA Agency, fed me alcohol while I was underage and sexually assaulted me,” Lipman wrote in a letter uploaded on Facebook and Instagram.
“APA Agency has kept this man employed, working with kid actors. I find it incredibly difficult to believe they do not know of his predatory behavior, using his position within the company to prey on naive kids,” he continued. (Besides young clients like 14-year-old “It” and “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard, Grasham also represents adult actors like “Pretty Little Liars” star Keegan Allen).
Lipman told TheWrap he met Grasham when he was 17 or 18. He said he turned 18 in June of 2007, and was assaulted that summer. He cannot recall if the date of the assault was before or after his birthday, he said.
Lipman told TheWrap that he first met with Grasham at APA’s Beverly Hills office and that later they had another meeting at a restaurant where he “got me drunk.” The assault happened at Grasham’s home after that dinner, Lipman said. His account said that, after the assault, Grasham recruited friends of his to call Lipman and berate him or pressure him to stay silent.
On Wednesday evening, hours after Lipman posted his name, Grasham deleted his Facebook page and Instagram profile.

Meanwhile, Harvey Weinstein's apparent bi-coastal/international Get Out of Jail Free card with police agencies may have expired: The LAPD is investigating him for an alleged sexual assault dating from 2013.

An unnamed Italian model/actress has accused Weinstein of sexually assaulting her in a hotel room in Los Angeles in 2013. She spoke with authorities in L.A. about the incident this week.
"The LAPD Robbery Homicide division has interviewed a potential assault victim involving Harvey Weinstein in 2013. The case is under investigation at this point," police department spokesperson Drake Madison on Thursday told The Hollywood Reporter.
The model has accused Weinstein of rape...

Oh, and I'm sure this will shock and stun you, but Harvey Weinstein isn't behaving well in his "sex rehab."

The movie mogul, who volunteered to go to rehab after a wave of allegations of sexual harassment and rape against him from women in Hollywood, isn't exactly in his element in therapy, falling asleep in sessions or talking on his phone, a source tells Page Six.
Weinstein was reported to be at an inpatient facility, but our source says he is actually being treated at an intensive outpatient facility, which allows him to spend nights at a hotel....
The source told us, “In one group therapy session, Harvey arrived 15 minutes late. Then, when it was his turn to speak, he launched into a speech about how this is all a conspiracy against him.”

He's also said to fall asleep during "therapy," only to be waken by his smuggled (banned) cellphone ringing.

I want to keep this one swinging. I think that the longer it does, the more stories about others are going to get out. Harv's just one guy, to really hurt Hollywood (and the DNC-Media logistics) you got to get a lot of them more concerned with personal survival than with funding offenses in the culture wars.

35 Going to these "talent" agents is a thing here with a certain section of parents in New York. They all believe their kid will be the next star. But the story that a lot of these people are predators has been around for many years, to the point where there is some inappropriate behavior in public.

These people would just write it if as "oh that's just "Joe" always kidd No around". Mostly because they wanted to stay in his good graces.

The entire thing is disgusting and a lot of these people allowed it to continue.

Well no, buddy, you just did it 200 nights a year for 10 years and they caught you 5 times, you are actually lucky as hell. I don't know if sex rehab is real but that part at least sounds like everyone in DUI court to a T.

Last Temptation was really Scorcese's attempt to debunk the whole thing. The only recent successful attempt at Christian cinema was Mel's Passion. The kids didn't tell. They either wanted what was being promised or they were ashamed.

When I was 16 my dentist groped and kissed me. I punched him in the nuts. I did not, however, tell. My reasoning, which I think was correct, was that my dad and/or brother would either kill him or come close to it. I didn't want them prosecuted and so I didn't tell. The Passion is a rough movie to watch. In it, Gibson makes the point that all humanity was complicit and needful of this. The entire calendar of human sin is on display. It is a hard thing to bear.

Tami, the only thing I can think of is a Beat Pill. Translation - portable speaker system for their Iphones and whatnots gizmos.

At this age they start breaking into different roles and tribes. If you're lucky, none will stick with them very long.

Best advice is to ask his parents what he is wanting. They will know.

Any story of the passion of the Christ is the story of a Jew saving the world. You can't imagine a more pro-Jewish story.

Actually we don't. Gamestop is a shitshow. You walk in and buy the game if its there, but likely you're picking it up at Walmart or somewhere when you are doing other shopping. Easier to download it directly.

Willow, If you can stomach it watch An Open Secret (I linked it above.) They interview a couple of actually well meaning parents who watched the pedo ring in Hollywood destroy their kids. Their kids had gifts they wanted to share and acting was something they wanted to do. They naively went into it hoping it would help their kids fulfill their dreams, not turn into the stuff of nightmares.

(I will never understand though how a parent could just let their kid live with an older male stranger and just accept that it how it's done.)

The end of the documentary has a well done slow reveal of what happened to one of the families and the journey of their son. You'll know what I mean when you see it. It is heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time, I completely teared up. They truly loved their kids. And many of them are now doing what they can to pay penance for what their kids went through.

I stopped asking my BIL what his kids wanted and started giving them gift cards. My BIL would tell me they wanted a new computer or a basketball hoop.
I also will ask the older kids what they'd like. I e-mail or text them to send me links.

432 Veterans and the military in general are to the right, not always. I know some leftist Vets. The great majority of the veterans I know (vfw/legion) are very right-wing. My Dad (Vietnam era), My brothers (Gulf war era), Most of the guys I keep in contact with (Gulf war era), and my limited contact with various other veteran groups are vastly right leaning constitutionalists. I may live in a bubble but I do not see many Veterans to the left.

Gibson was perfectly able to personify Human Sin as a gigantic weight. When Satan is in the garden whispering "No one can bear it all."

I came out of that film in the theater feeling like an asshole and resolving to be a better human being.

Vets identify more with Republicans, less with Democrats, but a lot more with Independents. I see a lot of libertarian/slight left or libertarian/populist. Vets do not tend to be blindly partisan - there was an interesting book called Settling Down about WW2 vets and their attitudes in the late 40s/start of the Cold War.
