Who Paid for the Dodgy Dossier? FusionGPS Officials Plead the Fifth Amendment

I know I mentioned this yesterday, but someone with a large megaphone piped up:

Remember -- we do not know that an "anti-Trump Republican" commissioned this dossier. That was an anonymous claim made to someone. Given that this organization is staffed up with spooks, I hardly think it is implausible that that was disinformation planted to obscure the actual patron of the PeePeeParty Dossier.

Which could very well be Russia itself-- FusionGPS was/is working for Russia to overturn the Magnitsky Act, after all.

And see this May 3rd piece from Molly Hemingway, noting this exchange between Republican Senators and James Comey:

Graham: Are you familiar with Fusion?

Comey: I know the name.

Graham: Are they part of the Russian intelligence apparatus?

Comey: I can't say.

Graham: Do you agree with me that if Fusion was involved in preparing a dossier against Donald Trump, that would be interfering in our election by the Russians?
Comey: I don't want to say.

The FBI continues to stonewall about its own involvement with the dossier -- maybe they commissioned it. They won't say anything about it.

I don't think Sessions can order them to stop stonewalling, because he's recused himself from the Russia investigation entirely. But other people can, including deputy AG Rosenstein and new Director Wray.

So why don't they? What are they hiding?

Corrected: I called Deputy AG Ron Rosenstein AG Rosenberg. I've fixed that.

I don't really wake up until 4pm, if ever.

24 Real question becomes.... why can't the President of the United States ask his SPIES to find out this information?

If this WAS done by a foreign intelligence service... it falls under counter espionage... so FBI is in the US, CIA if external.

And I'm sure the NSA has a few intercepts about this...

or... can't he ask because our spy agencies are part of the problem.

The Dossier was just something to get the Russian Investigation moving, that's all. The FBI was behind it with the full cooperation and knowledge of Obama and elements of the GOP, especially McCain.

We talk about how Trump has confounded the GOP, but in reality it was Obama being half-black that really sent them off the rails. McCain and Romney didn't go after Obama too hard because he was black and Bush never criticized Obama because he was black, and i really think everyone wants to keep a lid on the crimes of Obama because he's black and no one wants to be seen going after him. That's the real reason Trump makes them queasy---he is slowly dismantling Obama's legacy.

Apparently the New Hotness is that the FBI won't release information because at least some of the claims in it must be true eleventy.

I am rather weary of the FBI and DOJ and IRS and pretty much everything but the EPA* continuing to act as if Obama is in charge. Trump should order full compliance with all Congressional subpoeans and keep firing people until compliance is achieved.

The Russians wrote the thing and the Democrats paid them. The conduit for this business transaction was Fusion GPS, a left-leaning organization that was already getting paid by the Russians for other lobbying efforts.

127 Rosenberg is a swamp critter. He probably didn't circulate the recommendation to fire Comey until he got word from his Dem buddies that they would try to make obstruction out of it when Trump took the bait.

Whole fucking city of Washington would rather play political gotcha games to get the outsider than get anything done, because they're good at games and not at getting anything done.

They get "something" done. The something that must be done about healthcare costs--that fails within three years of its fullest implementation--and couldn't be fully implemented. The something they can get done about guns. Or the something that can be done to put their name on an accord that they are preparing to think about really getting serious about Climate Change.

But they don't want to admit that solutions are hard because then nobody would want to believe in Solutions-R-Us government.

So Fusion would have to be breaking a different kind of law, like perhaps acting as a foreign agent without registering as one? I agree though -- grant immunity to the Fusion accountant and compel him/her to testify on all transactions involving the dossier.

What I really don't get is why PDJT doesn't order the FBI to cooperate fully with the Senate committee on this dossier. He can declassify documents if needed. This is horseshit.

Yup

While Valerie Jarrett was ordering Marine Corps Generals at the white house to get her another drink because she thought he was a waiter. While Obama was decimating the military and screwing DoD by making sequestration apply most harshly to them, by somehow giving away the location of the seal team 6 helicopter, by insisting Ft Hood was "workplace violence" and ignoring the families, by letting ISIS spread like wildfire, by celebrating Bergdahl in the rose garden, by trading terrorists for Bergdahl to clean out Gitmo so they can kill more americans, by pardoning Bradley Manning, by naming ships after Harvey Milk and descimating military readiness by insisting on reams of "sensitivity training" and by protecting radicals and communists at West Point.

Obama didn't even call his own 3 star general when his son was killed. Bush was lied about and Chitown Jerry thinks this ludicrous insane lie from the disgusting congresswoman has the tiniest scrap of veracity?

With Mueller.

Did anybody catch the embarrassing debacle of a ambassador on Tucker last night. At one point Tucker said "You're FILIBUSTERING!" And she just continued to mumble and babble--with no break for Tucker in the conversation--the same well-rehearsed lines over and over again:

- The Uranium One deal was nearly ten years ago, it's in the past, why are we talking about it?
- If this deal has turned bad, TRUMP needs to get off his butt and get a handle on it--because that's now.
- It was approved by n agencies and m review boards (the swamp).

He tried to get her to connect the dots. But she had her parries at the ready.

The White House, DNC, FBI, CIA and DOJ colluded. DNC or the FBI had their hands in getting Fusion to produce it. It was then given to the FBI as an "active" investigation. The White House and DOJ used it as a premise to get FISA warrants. The FBI and CIA did the collection of intelligence, which was given back to political people at the White House where they unmasked people in the Trump campaign and Ben Rhodes and co passed to the DNC, media and anyone else they wanted.

They kept it compartmentalized to ensue plausible deniability.

But that's just crazy me.

The White House, DNC, FBI, CIA and DOJ colluded. DNC or the FBI had their hands in getting Fusion to produce it. It was then given to the FBI as an "active" investigation. The FBI and CIA did the collection of intelligence, which was given back to political people at the White House where they unmasked people in the Trump campaign and Ben Rhodes and co passed to the DNC, media and anyone else they wanted.

They kept it compartmentalized to ensue plausible deniability.

But this is the problem: communication needs clarity. Too often the GOP, when trying to score points, makes hazy, ephemeral statements about people. They need to be direct.

It is like in a meeting and the boss says things like 'we need to do better' or "We need to stop doing this or that." If you do not call people out, it gives plausible deniability to people and they can just assume you are talking about someone else- each according to their prejudices. Name names. Be forthright. Anything else is just whistling into the wind.

The rhinestone cowgirl better put some ice on that.

Nope. Kelly said the words you wanted to hear. The political left will draw the exact opposite conclusion from those same words.

And I don't even know what Kelly said. Because it doesn't matter to the left. They live in a different universe and speak a different language.

That's why I watch FBN. At least big-boobed Liz is slightly less histrionic (probably has more testosterone then Shep!), you get an occasional shot of her awesome rack, trading-floor wench Nicole appears occasionally, and then there is some actual business news once in a while.
And, I denounce myself.

431 Kelly also recounted a story about that congresswoman during a dedication to a FBI building in Florida dedicated to some FBI agents that were killed there in the line of duty. He was in the audience.

She got up during the dedication and I'm paraphrasing, "asked for more money...then sat down."

433 This is why there is a President Donald Trump. He knew. He talked to 'regular guys' who were taking it up the @ss. He connected. He won.

I'm thankful for him and for that.

And that part about health is particularly applicable to me. Years of financial stress nearly did me in. It's too late for me, but maybe the next generation of guys will fare better, so there's that.

It chaps my ass when I hear these little SJW pukes bleat about "justice." They have no idea...

It's a safe bet some Bush consiglieres were involved, at a minimum. McCain and Obama definitely knew the dossier was a farce and probably made a mint from it.

Anyone else rethinking the Bush/Establishment CIA made an "error" about WMD? Who would be surprised now to find out the CIA deliberately lied, and that catastrophic falsehood was pushed by Official Washington for cash and the pleasure of killing off young men from the heartland?

Ropes. Gallows. It's the end game of this massive scandal and fraud. Many from one side or the other will end their days at the end of a rope. This is past the faux judicial process.

439 I thought I read that the Russian Dossier was used to try to get a FISA warrant in June(?) and it was denied.

Then the dems facilitated or helped arrange for that Russian lady lawyer to meet with Trump people and that meeting was what they went back to the FISA court with in October and got the warrant at that time. "OMG look, Judge! They're meeting with real Russians!"

Recall that the Russian lady mysteriously got a visa thanks to Loretta Lynch after having been turned down several times.

NRO was a good place to comment before they went to Facebook. Writers like Charles Cooke would actually engage in back and forth in the comments section which was kind of cool. I guess Twitter made Disqus obsolete.Posted by: Benji Carver at October 19, 2017 02:53 PM (OD2ni)
Fake nazi trolls via 4chan made it their mission to shut down the comment section at NR and won. They scared French stupid while they were at it. Then the regular commenters, who had the ability to kill off the trolls, weren't too keen on the progressive adoration that came out of the scared stupid and left wing boy-sex the establishment schills went with. They went with Zuckerberg at the time in solidarity with all progressivism all the time.

Really conflicted reading the two minute hate on Bush here. I remember him standing on that rubble pile, with the bullhorn, telling us that the people who did this will hear all of us soon.

I remember the 8 years of unrelenting effort to take down al qaeda so they could never repeat that vile act of 9-11, reducing them to a mere shadow of their former power.

I remember his love and care for our military and country for 8 years.

I remember thinking that because of that, he will forever be well regarded by me, if for nothing else.
