It's not fair. Seriously, Seth Myers is just as untalented and unwarrantedly smug as she is -- why does that man get to keep his failing show?
Chelsea Handler says it's her decision.Netflix’s Chelsea won’t continue past the end of 2017, host Chelsea Handler announced Wednesday via social media. In a lengthy Twitter post, Handler attributed the talk show’s cancellation to her desire to “devote as much time as I can to becoming a more knowledgeable and engaged citizen and to focus on projects that have significance to me. My goal is to be better informed, raise my voice, and participate in a more meaningful way.”Ah yes -- the famous "I want to spend more time with my Twitter Feed" rationale. I think we'll be seeing more of that in the future.

Her survival has been truly miraculous. All the doctors had maintained that she was unlikely to survive the anesthesia but she came through without a hitch. Even she expected that when she closed her eyes that she would next open them in heaven.
I credit all my friends praying for her, and that God still has some work for her here.

I've been kind of predicting that Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc would have an impact on the market because they can check their computers and see *exactly* how well their programming performs. Not through some third party like Nielson.

In many ways they may begin to exert some control over Hollywood. They probably assign a 'genre' title to record in a database for each and every movie they (in effect) rent from Hollywood. With exact numbers and exact genre definitions ( like left of center, center, right of center, etc ) they know what consumers want to watch.

But I think his animosity for Trump is not just attributable to his view of himself as a patrician. It's personal. Before the SC GOP primary, Trump said that Bush lied the country into war with Iraq by intentionally misleading the public about WMDs.

The people who actually pay for Netflix are probably a demographic that doesn't care for leftist bullshit. Netflix knows exactly how many people watch a show from beginning to end, and how many switch to something else after two minutes.
I used to write computer code and the amazing thing was that my data bases were always evolving, new fields being added, as I honed in on providing my customers what they wanted.
If Netflix isn't constantly evolving their information gathering abilities about programs to retain customers and provide the highest level of entertainment for the largest possible audience I'll eat a big BOD's.

I said he was on SiriusXM now because he's no longer on stations in the large metro areas. Media types could listen to him while going to work, and then talk about it.
As for him being "water cooler" talk, that was mostly in his target demo, 18-49 year old men, so he was top of mind awareness for talk show producers and other media types. Something you'll notice after streaming for a while is that shows like LMS are available for some contracted period then will disappear. But they might then move from Netflix to Hulu or Amazon or vice versa for a while.
The content providers only 'rent' their products. For certain terms for certain periods of time. I'm sure LMS will be around for a while. Somewhere.

Netflix creates original programming to keep subscribers and attract new ones... but if their shows have the stink of failure on them (driven by the actual number of viewers) it can become a vicious cycle.
Expect more shows to be canceled after one season soon...
