Obama's Iran Deal bears Fruit...For Hezbollah...What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Two years after the nuclear deal was signed by Iran and world powers, the Islamic Republic is reported to have boosted its financial support to Hezbollah to $800 million a year, a dramatic increase from the $200m. it was said to be giving its proxy when sanctions were in place.

It was absolute insanity to release funding to Iran, who has been supporting terrorism around the world, specifically targeted against America and Israel. Obama and his handlers were either profoundly ignorant of the reality of Iran's support for terror, or were well aware and simply chose to ignore it in some vanity-driven desire to be seen by the international peace community as important players in World Peace^TM. There is a third possibility, that they knew quite well that Hezbollah would be energized and funded, and that was part of the plan.

According to IDF assessments, while Hezbollah has increased its military capabilities due to its fighting in Syria, the group has spread its troops across the entire Middle East and is hurting financially.
The finances of the Lebanese Shi'ite group, designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by dozens of countries around the globe, also has been hit hard due to years of sanctions by the United States.

Well then, since Hezbollah has been hurt by our sanctions, let's continue Obama's waiver!

The US and European countries lifted sanctions against Iran in January 2016, releasing roughly $100 billion in assets after international inspectors found that Iran had dismantled large parts of its nuclear program. According to US media, officials say President Donald Trump is ready to extend those waivers that were issued under the Obama administration.

I sure hope that's not the case....

Yes, I remember b/c I was shocked. It was a UN meeting, and a pic accompanied the article. It was when I was solely reading European sites, so I don't know if it hit American news. He was careful in his wording, but it was about Islam...no 2 ways about it. He substituted the word ideology iirc. The Islamic countries just shrug criticisms off...don't really care IMO. Some are more moderate than others obviously, but the violent ones don't care what Obamarama says.

Obama always had a rather naive way of viewing the world. I don't know if he thought the Iran deal was buying him influence...I don't know wth was going on there. But it was insane as a deal.

At a minimum his acts will with near certainty usher in war with Iran at some point, likely on a global scale. Hezbollah is just the warm-up promotional act.

The US can start by banning trade with Iran and barring travel by US citizens to Iran.

And choose to Levy an import tariff on other countries that trade with Iran proportional to their share of Iran's imports as determined by the US. Maybe start the tariff easy, just the tip of 1%, adding 1% per month until the tariff equals the estimated share of Iran's imports.

Maybe bar entry to the US of any who show an Iranian visa in their passport or known visitation, including diplomats. UN delegates from Iran may stay in the compound as long as they want, but if they set foot outside it they are persona non grata.

If any other country doesn't like it they may respond in kind or any other way they choose.
