Customers are drawn by what the Seattle Times described as ''coffee with a view.'' When they pull up to the drive-through window, their coffee is served by a ''bikini barista'' in scanty attire.

One time I pulled into a Stewart's Root Beer in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Three of the hottest women I have ever seen in my life were the waitresses. I was looking around for Russ Myers as I figured it had to be some sort of reality movie set I had wandered into. Left an excellent tip.

Never went there again. But I still enjoy the memory of those mammaries.

40 Seattle totalitarians banning baristas in bikinis because they are insufficiently woke to know that they are really serving the patriarchy n stuff.

The Washington Post, following the Pravda style guide headlines: "Bikini Baristas fight for their right to serve coffee half naked --and really hot!" Simultaneously (a) misrepresenting the facts into a straw man/the baristas are not topless ("half naked" egads, hide the children!) and (b) framing an issue of personal liberty and limits on government power to "ban" as about something "you don't need."

Well you don't "need" my particular pizza or wedding cake for your gay wedding that I personally think degrades probably the most important institution for the perpetuation of civilization we've created in the last 5,000 years, but I can be frog marched to Rethink Camp if I refuse to do so, and address you as Xer Majesty along the way.

67 If she is wearing a bikini, she isn't half naked.

But it is an evolutionary thing. Start with the burqa.

First she shoes her toes, or maybe her face, and the men loose all control. But after a few years that doesn't work any more, so the girls start flashing an ankle, or her hair is uncovered, and men loose all self control.

But after a few years, something more exotic than ankles or toes are needed to get the man's attention. So the girls start flashing their knees and doing the 'can-can' set to music and flashing their under garments.

You see how it goes?

Now they want to wear bikinis, and each year the bikini gets smaller. Then you have trouble, because after you take it all off, then what do you do?

I know how this works, I saw it in Florida. The girls start selling hot dogs from a push cart on the street corners, and the bikinis kept getting smaller every year, and the lines of men buying hot dogs at the push cart got longer. There were traffic jams where guys stopped suddenly in the street, to buy a hot dog.

78 Willowed

I made Chief while recruiting at the Mt. Claire Jct Recruiting office, which was directly adjacent to the B and O museum there. Would spend hours looking at that huge steam driven beast that they had on display in the shopping center.

I loved the museum with some of the hokey retro displays where you'd push a button and things would move back and forth. The old trains in the roundhouse were impressive. The Mt. Clair yard oversaw a secondary yard adjacent to the museum that was only used for the few low volume bidnesses around there. A few times I had to check something there in the middle of the night; in addition to it being really isolated the fucking rats were as big as small dogs.

You are not working hard enough at it.

Look at Sri Lanka, start with the CIA fact book. Then compare to Singapore and Honk Kong. Singapore Shipping News is big business much like the Greek Shipping Magnets were during the World Oil Crisis of the '70's. Look at Greece now. Greece is losing money on every immigrate that crosses their borders on their way to Paradise in the EU because the Greeks have lost their bargaining power.

This is why the assassination of a Financial Times Reporter in Sri Lanka is big news.

And I mentioned this during the Ferguson nonsense. St. Louis city cops don't play. They are equally up to the task of keeping things at a slow simmer, rather than the kind of fast burn that is needed for mass destruction type rioting.

I would go so far as to suggest, without any news of arrests and/or perps being thrown in the clink last night, the WRONG message might be getting out today: With this new administration with the chick mayor, now may be the time for rioters to consider St. Louis city to be fair game, whereas over the last few years it would not have been.

It's not the veganism per se - although I think there's a fair amount of information to show it's nutritionally suboptimal - it's the sanctimony, hyper-evangelism and insistence that everybody accommodate them at all times, which I don't see you exhibiting at all.

Exactly. No need for any preaching. It can be easily argued that plant based diets are significantly healthier than animal based, but I'm not here to convert anyone to my religion, and I do occasionally eat meat. Occasionally.

Like everything else in this world, you do you, and I'll do me, and as soon as I start trying to tell you how to live is the point at which I need to shut my non-pie hole.

367 ugh, better get back to my do list.

368 BurtTC, sounds like you are a true vegan. No eggs, dairy, etc?

369 Joe F i'm sure that can also be true.

370 Burt

I live here! It was bullshit! A thousand people total; dispersed at midnight for lack of interest.

"9 cops hurt"? Only one went to the hospital overnight, & he was released this morning.

NO shops burned. NO free big screen TVs. Just a handful of arrests.

The MSM wanted this to be BIG. So did the ACLU. It didn't even BEGIN to compare with Ferguson.

I know.

But it's only Saturday morning. It's not over.

Nothing compares to a Ferguson.

Nope. No eggs, no dairy, but I do eat occasional meat.

And again, I fundamentally reject the phrase any stupid label, because as we know people who talk like that are virtue signaling. I eat what I eat. I am NOT what I eat.

373 21 Nilsson Schmilson.

One of the best albums and phrases ever. Any album that ranges from "Coconut" to "Jump In The Fire" is a masterwork.

I hate to boast about my offspring, but my youngest son had his best night ever on the football field. He had 11 tackles, 4 for loss, and forced a fumble. He hopes to keep playing football at Navy and later hopes to become a fighter pilot. I arranged a tour at Eglin and members of the F-35 training squadron got him in a simulator and that's all he wants to do.

He has a lot fewer vices than I did at his age and he's working on getting his pilot's license while working every weekend.

It's a shame his team is 0-3, but their early schedule has been a beast. They were up on a team that was an old rival ranked in the AP poll.

It's going to be weird when he leaves this summer for Annapolis. Our 3 kids have filled our houses with such fun that it seems a shame for it to end.

374 It's all been downhill in Everett, Washington since they failed to finish off those Commie Seattle Wobblies in 1916. Now the Commies have taken over and no bikini barista is safe in her drive through coffee stand. America is dead.

375 There weren't any riots in St. Louis worthy of the name. You've bought into fake MSM news if you believe that.

It's as if early and assertive law enforcement works to avoid thuggery, anarchy, and hooliganism. Who knew?
