Gunman Kills One, Wounds Two Others at Spokane School;
Unarmed Man Shouting "Allahu Akbar" Attacks Seven In Toulouse, France

The two wounded people are in stable condition. The shooter is, unfortunately, alive.

Spokane Fire Chief Brian Schaeffer said one person was killed and that "the threat from the shooter has been eliminated" at Freeman High School in Rockford, south of Spokane.

"There was one shooter, taken down safely and is in law enforcement custody," Schaeffer said.

In France, a man attacked seven people with his bare hands while shouting "Shalom, Peewee!" or some other religious expression. Not sure what it could have been.

The man, believed to be in his early 40s, shouted 'Allahu Akbar' before launching an attack on members of the public on Avenue Frederic-Estebe.

Officers were quickly alerted to the situation by passersby and it took three officers to bring the situation under control, according to French news site La Depeche.

One man told local media: "We were chatting and he jumped on us. He first caught my son and then beat my daughter. We ran."

The attacker was not carrying any weapons but two victims were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Not quite as nuts as Commiefornia, but they're getting there.

A bunch of Seattle technoligarchs poured money into a ballot measure that proposed to essentially transform into overnight felons tens of thousands of peaceable and law-abiding gun owners in Washington state.

It passed. And, per as usual, it's not doing any good to prevent actual crimes by armed criminals. As is sadly shown here.

Those states, like the entire country just a short while ago, had very few gun laws of any sort. And you recall what an insane, Mad Max, Beirut 1983 situation prevailed across the country as a result. Oh, wait .....

And unless there is some semi-serious head-fake at restoring constitutional rule of law in the country - via SCOTUS obliteration of most of these recent laws - then it will only get worse.

Like going beyond their stupid and pathetic (and possibly unlawful) conditioning of puny grants, to putting hard restrictions on major $$$ via appropriations language, to end this insurrection? Like prosecuting local/state officials for their crimes in abetting illegals?

160 "Dorian Johnson will get his money-grifting ambulance-chasing heard by an appeals court"

Dorian made knowingly false statements to police when first interviewed, and then later admitted to their known falsity. He should be in the lockup.

Let's remember Dorian's highly specific and hugely inflammatory claim that officer Wilson shot the fleeing Gentle Giant Mike Brown in the back.

Three separate autopsies, two of them by parties highly friendly to the Brown family's claims, found no bullet entry wounds there.

But, these claims from Dorian went all over black social media at the speed of light, and imbued tens of millions of African-Americans with absolute certainty that Wilson had deliberately murdered Brown for no reason.

Other people have since lost their lives, specifically multiple cops who were shot from ambush by black assailants, because of the furor and anger brought about by that demonstrably false, perjurious claim by Dorian.

Been a lot of interesting comments this past week on Trannyism. Seems like on the right a sort of preference cascade has erupted and now people are being more vocal about speaking out against it.

It's about the kids. Suburban mom and dad felt OK about letting their kids grow up in a world that had gay marriage. But they don't want their kids to grow up in a world populated by skinwalkers and nightstalkers openly harvesting in daylight. With their pock marked skin dripping with pancake makeup, and their brutish man hands eager to claim fresh victims. Trannies are freaking scary.

197 Schumer's idea of tax cuts is to actually raise taxes.

Senator Schumer said Wednesday that wealthy individuals "will not be gaining at all" from any tax plan, as he seeks Democratic support for his push to rewrite the tax code.

"If we can do that, we'd like it. If they have to go higher, they'll go higher, frankly. We're looking at the middle class and we're looking at jobs," he added.

I'm baffled by the design change choices. By all means, update the frame. But the old Glock internals WORKED. Why fuck with what works?

213 Smart money is on the shooter being prescribed medications to correct his "chemical imbalance".

Some similarities between chronic brain discomfort and other kinds of chronic pain re: the medication thereof. There are those who are going to need the medication just 'cause their system hates them, those who need the meds because they seriously broke/mangled/mutilated something, and those who are medicating an external issue and have really horrible activities/practices/nutrition/etc.

In much the same manner as someone with an autoimmune disorder taking only painkillers or someone popping oxy and going to work on a jackhammer with a shattered spine... the drugs only go so far, and for somebody who is loopy in a way they're figuratively injuring their own thinking? Repeatedly?

Yeah. Popular sentiment that the drugs fix teh crazee - kind of broad and largely false, and if the person has serious personality issues that the drugs enable them to go further and further off the deep end with while "in control"?

Bottom line - there are a lot of people who are fucked up out there, and the practice of making them *high* and fucked up isn't a good one.

222 179 post 100 comments so OT:

Been a lot of interesting comments this past week on Trannyism. Seems like on the right a sort of preference cascade has erupted and now people are being more vocal about speaking out against it.

It's about the kids. Suburban mom and dad felt OK about letting their kids grow up in a world that had gay marriage. But they don't want their kids to grow up in a world populated by skinwalkers and nightstalkers openly harvesting in daylight. With their pock marked skin dripping with pancake makeup, and their brutish man hands eager to claim fresh victims. Trannies are freaking scary.
Posted by: Max Power

I think you're off-base here on your assessment of what motivates transsexuals.

They aren't prowling for kids. "Transsexual" is not the same thing as "pedophile."

Instead, transsexuals have a very unusual sexual fetish: They are homosexual men who are repulsed by other homosexual men. Trannies desperately want to have sex with other men, but (here's the key) only with straight men. They want to seduce straight men, and have zero interest in having ex with any other homosexual.

But the dilemma, and the core source of their insanity, is of course that straight men, by definition, don't want to have sex with any other man.

So what do they trannies do? They try to pass themselves off as women. As a form of false advertising.

This trickery is misperceived by the world as being "gender dysphoria" -- an even rarer (vanishingly rare) mental disorder in which a man feels that he is actually a woman. Such people exist, but are extreme medical anomalies.

The lie of the modern world is how we now "give a free pass" to transsexuals by granting them all the diagnosis of "gender dysphoria", when in fact maybe only 1% of transsexuals are that way. The rest are just trying to deceive straight men.

The hilarious/tragic part is that trannies almost always catastrophically fail at their attempts to "pass." But now, in the modern SJW era, we are supposed to humor their failed efforts and not mention how ludicrous they seem to everyone.

But yes, others in the past have pointed out that trannies by their very nature are "predators" who are trying to "rape by deception or misrepresentation," which is actually a crime in most states. If you claim to be someone you're not -- or example, that you're a celebrity, or maybe a scientist doing research of the female anatomy -- in order to trick your way into a woman's pants, then you can be charged with rape, even if she was "willing" at the time. By the same token, trannies are misrepresenting themselves to straight men, and by the same law could be charged with rape if they ever engage in a sex act (such ad performing oral sex) on a straight man who was successfully duped.

But no. Now we can't charge trannies with rape. That's taboo.

Some are surprisingly sane. Dave Rubin interviewed Blaire White, a trans conservative youtuber, and she is very refreshing. She covered a lot of my soapboxes about the LGBT community so I loved it. But the SJW trans people can be scary OTT parodies of themselves, so true.

228 As to healing, there are different sorts. Couple of people in my church are tied in with Christian counseling, but it's not a "all crazy people are bad people" sort of thing as often stereotyped.

More of a three pronged (1) Issue with sin, unmanaged, making you crazy, (2) issue with life/organization/whatever, which may or may not relate to 1, and (3) Your brain's shit is all retarded, chemically speaking.

And it's important to know the makeup thereof.

251 Instead, transsexuals have a very unusual sexual fetish

Not all types, but common enough, and Blanchard(?)'s taxonomy on a dichotomy between autogynephilia and warped homosexuality is *sort* of on the money, but tends to fail to recognize that paraphilias are like potato chips - rare to have just one. So, there's the above attraction to straight men thing, the autogynephilia, *sometimes* pedophilia, vore, a whole host of voyeur fetishes, transformation fetishes, more "normal" paraphilias like S&M, leather, latex, etc., and every other paraphilia known to man.

So every transsexual is potentially a different bag of mixed nuts and batshit, with little other than wanting to be a woman universal.

256 232 Interesting post, zombie. I have no personal experience in the area, so I am asking seriously, would you consider transsexuals mentally ill?
Posted by: kraken

It all depends on your definition of "mental illness."

Most are not cray-cray crazy. They aren't schizophrenic or psychotic. They can "function" in the world.

But they often are deeply delusional. The world humors them so much that many of them actually think they are passing as women.

It also depends on whether one defines "fetishist" as being crazy. Paraphilia, the officially name for sexual fetishes, was until recently in history included on the official list of mental disorders. But since the 1970s, paraphilia is no longer classified as a type of insanity.

It's basically a cultural judgment call. Do we deem someone who wants to have sex with, say, a dead dog, as being crazy, if he's functional in the rest of his life?

289 Black Robe Fever. Federal Judge Poner (appointed by Reagan) discusses, well, not the law exactly:

He called his approach to judging pragmatic. His critics called it lawless. "I pay very little attention to legal rules, statutes, constitutional provisions," Judge Posner said. "A case is just a dispute. The first thing you do is ask yourself - forget about the law - what is a sensible resolution of this dispute?"

"The next thing, he said, was to see if a recent Supreme Court precedent or some other legal obstacle stood in the way of ruling in favor of that sensible resolution. "And the answer is ttha's actually rarely the case," he said. "When you have a Supreme Court case or something similar, they're often extremely easy to get around."

348 the worst thing that happened to MacFarlane was the reviving of Family Guy after its first cancellation.

the first seasons were okay - not as good as the fanbase claimed , but a good start for a novice. MacFarlane could have taken the lessons he'd learnt and started over with a new premise and that aforementioned fanbase. like how Whedon learnt from Buffy.

instead MacFarlane decided he's done nothing wrong and just keeps writing his pop-culture drivel.

Moreover, Medicare, like Social Security, is a trans-generational chain letter, relying on more and younger workers to support fewer elder retirees.

Never mind lower birth rates and longer life spans, if everyone is in on the Chain Letter, then it collapses.

There are two things that will kill socialized medicine:

1) Explaining to people how Canada and the UK pay for it-- with massive taxes. On everybody, no exceptions. 20% VAT, baby. Love it.

2) The Insurance Industry will buy enough lawmakers to keep their Gravy Train rolling. Obamacare got their support by promising them millions of captaive customers and huge government subsidies, they won't go along with eliminating their industry entirely.

The 358 Hoosier is interesting, I'd never heard of it before I started trying to identify this casing. The 358 Hoosier was concocted to (barely) follow the rules and give better performance than a handgun cartridge.

Dale? Never heard of him.

Dog bites man story - only interesting if there's interest from the type of dog or sort of man.

"HE HAS SCARY HANDS AND WAS BEATING UP MY CHILDREN" makes it kind of a 30-stitches-from-chihuahua-bite local news story.

Someone posted on the Don Reddit last week that a friend found a lump in their breast, contacted the NHS about getting in for an appointment, They posted a letter back from the NHS showing the wait time for an appointment. Not surgery, an appointment. 30 weeks. WEEKS. 7.5 MONTHS.

Why have Brits not rioted in the street over their messed up health care yet? Did they all die first?

This goes a long way to explaining why San Quentin, a prison located on one of the most expensive pieces of CA real estate, continues to exist. That and the fact that it is the only one set up to do executions, and is near the Commiecrat lawyers in San Francisco. I am sure inmates are counted for "diversity" and "low income housing" reasons.

From a sheer economic standpoint, lots of CA desert and wilderness towns would be better places to house prisoners. Blythe, Crescent City, and some other Mojave desert towns or North Coast forest towns where logging is now prohibited, probably would have vanished were it not for state pens.

432 Did a bing search and got this on Sonobi

"Sonobi is an ad technology developer that designs
advertising tools and solutions for the industry's leading media
publishers, brand advertisers, media agencies ..."

So they are the ones that designed an ad for themselves (that is hugely annoying) trying to get companies to pay them to make more. Sounds like a good business model.

The Brit attitude is "musn't complain, it's not all about me, others have more pressing needs, so I'll just soldier on."

It's an endearing attitude in many respects (especially after hearing Americans bleating about what they're entitled to), but it leads to things like this.
