Russian Characters Repeatedly Tried to Contact Trump Campaign... and Were Serially Rebuffed and Refused

A young aide on President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign attempted several times to set up a meeting between Trump and "Russian leadership," including President Vladimir Putin, according to internal campaign emails.
Three days after George Papadopoulos was named one of Trump's foreign policy advisers in March 2016, he sent an email to seven other campaign officials with the subject line, "Meeting with Russian Leadership -- Including Putin," the Washington Post reports.
...
Papadopoulos was a volunteer for the campaign and had very little foreign policy experience. He had been in the Model U.N. program in college, from which he graduated in 2009.
Senior Trump campaign officials were uncomfortable with Papadopoulos' March email, which offered to set up "a meeting between us and the Russian leadership to discuss US-Russia ties under President Trump."
Sam Clovis, a campaign co-chairman, said that he wanted NATO allies to be consulted with first, while another Trump adviser, retired Navy Rear Adm. Charles Kubic, said that such contacts could pose multiple legal issues, for potentially violating the Logan Act and American sanctions against Russia. Then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort was also against having Trump meet with Russian officials.

You will never see or hear this story again. Oh, Mollie Hemingway might bring it up on Fox, only to have Steven Hayes accuse her of living in an "alternate reality."

About all I know about the annuity is that it's based on US Treasury Bonds.

That actually happened a couple of weeks ago. Boss put stuff back up in the closet and then I had to drag out the step stool and clamber up to get it and it's possible, not, you know, certain, but just possible that I bonked myself in the head with the box of stuff.

At the Old Firm, we moved into new office space and I got an actual office. Big Boss watched me stack books up to stand on to get something off the top shelf of a supply closet and he sent the office runner off to buy me a step stool. My co-workers asked if I minded this and I replied hell no I've got a step stool and you don't.

Then people wanted to borrow the step stool and depending on how annoyed with them I was, they were or were not allowed to do so.

Who was also working as part of the same team as Fusion GPS, a democrat slime machine. What happened is obvious to anyone with a function frontal lobe. They tried to set up the Trump Campaign with selective unmasking and cherry picked leaks combined with a concentrated slime/media campaign to make it appear that Trump was up to no good with Russia. Sadly for them, there is no there there.

serious street warfare, with one side prevailing mostly depending on

Today's "neo-Nazis", and KKK + affiliates, together,
don't amount to a fly speck on the national political or civic map.
They have zero electoral footprint or influence. They are invisible,
they are shunned, they have been (literally) a joke for decades ("I hate
Illinois Nazis!").

Their "opponents" - that is to say the basket
of despicables encompassing "antifa", BLM, and the many many different
incarnations their allies take in various locales (La Raza, SEIU
chapters, on and on) - are, by comparison, huge. Though not luxurious.

But
these vile elements have a huge, even "respectable", mainstream
political footprint, public presence, etc. Up until January 20 they
were received at the WH - hell, in some cases, they were there among the
parties with the most visits to the WH in 8 years.

And BLM has a
long, blood-drenched resume involving murders and assaults of law
enforcement. "Antifa" for the past year has a less fatal but long
despicable record of achievements in disrupting, intimidating, and
violently attacking.

But many commenters here, and several GOP
senators, and the entire preposterous Beltway and MSM, talk as though it
were reversed. The "neo-Nazis" are utterly unimportant, and
politically/socially invisible - their "ideas", to the extent they have
any, have zero traction or interest. The antifa/BLM complex, meanwhile -
which almost certainly was the prime mover in the C'ville
unpleasantness, and undoubtedly is the most violent and ugliest
political movement in the country - has enough of a political and social
footprint that, inter alia, what for decades have been
routine/low-profile guest speaking gigs at public universities for
non-fascist speakers are now fraught with security and political
complications. There is a very real, very reasonable, climate of fear for individual Americans who suffer from wrongthink.

"Neo-Nazis" are zero part of any informed person's concerns, or fears.

The term "left" comes from the collectivists sitting on the left side of the aisle of the legislature in the days leading up to the French Revolution. The terms "mountain" and "valley" were also involved for some reason i am ignorant of.

Later, Anyone who opposed the Jacobin Terror that followed was termed to be of the "right", i.e. not one of us.

This terminology carried in to the Bolshevik revolution, where the "good guys" (i.e. the winners) called themselves the left in honor of the Paris collectivists of the 19th century. Anyone who disagreed, even if Communist themselves (Trotsky, etc.) got labled as "right-wing".

The Fascisti (as noted by Jack Sock at 255) were collectivists, but openly opposed to the international worker's movement (Bolshevism) in favor of strict Nationalism. Hence, Fascists and anything vaguely nationalistic became known as "right-wing".

American Progressives (ultimately a mish-mash of "left wing" and "right wing" ideology) in turn took that terminology on board to rigidly mean "left wing good, right wing bad", no more, no less. By this point, the terms "left" and "right" had ceased to have any real ideological content.
