It is. GoDaddy probably can only deny someone service on the grounds of illegal activity or something outside of service parameters (running a store site or similar lines). Denying service based on political viewpoint is ripe for a lawsuit. It's especially troublesome when you give the party an extreme deadline (24 hours).

That's not how it works, GoDaddy is the DNS service, not the hosting service. They point to the where the website is hosted.
If _EVERY_ DNS provider blacklisted them, they could never be found, because they wouldn't be on any directory.

You have the issue wrong. Go Daddy doesn't host their website or anything else for this group. Go Daddy is the registrar for the group's domain.
Even if the group built all their own servers and hosted their owm website, they still need a registrar to tell the internet at large where their site is located.

But just thinking about the "ethics" of the situation:
In so far as GoDaddy is acting as a "host" for the site, giving maintenance and services, I think they're free to kick anyone they want for any reason. Standard ToS boilerplate language, I suppose.
In so far as they are only acting as a DNS registrar, or a "conduit", then I can see the ethical issue of them playing favorites.
If I have a particularly nasty phone conversation with someone, AT&T has no right to interrupt my service.
If I had (bear with me while I construct a tortured analogy) an AT&T employee on retainer in my house to help me craft the language of my call, then yeah, that retainer can say I've violated some term of the agreement when I start going on about final solutions and work camps.
That's my gut feeling, superficial analysis at any rate.

Freedom of speech is absolutely freedom from some consequences. The most obvious is the government isn't allowed to use violence against you for your speech. Given the world's history, this is a significant and very predictable consequence that freedom of speech should prevent.
Additionally, it's more than a bit solipsistic to say, "Sure, we grant you the right to not be killed by gov't agents for your speech, but we're going to ruin your livelihood and future employ-ability and by consequence, significantly alter the trajectory of your offspring's future."

In breaking with them he defined socialism within one nation, national socialism, vs the international socialism that would come to power in the Soviet Union.
Mussolini spawned a movement in Europe that as we know because popular with national socialist movements coming to power throughout Europe...including Germany.

If you most go through some kind of hosting provider to get ICANN registration, is that different in kind? Let's take the cake example. Someone refusing to bake a cake or provide a hall or even perform a wedding does not prevent people from getting married. It might make things more annoying and difficult, but it can still be done.
Saying that no domain hosting service will provide an entity domain hosting makes that activity impossible. Now, I know next to nothing about this and mayhap it's possible to not use a hosting service which makes my point even more idiotic than usual. Cutting off all access to a service *may* be different in kind, though, as I said, I'm still trying to puzzle this out. China actively censors internet access and this seems like a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny step in that direction.
For example, there's proposed legislation to strip away the immunity for websites regarding what commenters do and say which is being presented as a way to go after sex trafficking. Or, if people would just be honest, it's the anti-Backpage bill. Hey, sex trafficking is bad and you don't support slavery and Backpage is a bad actor and this is acceptable, right? We would never use it to go after political commenters, no never.

Believe me, I get that.
My point was simply that the Confederates are just the first round of targets.
Their goal, as Michelle Obama admitted several years ago, is to change our history (and in doing so, of course, change our entire culture). And they don't mean to just go back to the Civil War era. The real culprits, as they see it, are our Founders. Once they can attack them, they can dismantle what the Founders built.

That's why the Charlottesville, Virginia, City Council didn't approve the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue, and they didn't approve the re-naming of Lee Park to Emancipation Park. (Except, ooops, they did).
And that's why the New Orleans City Council didn't declare that city's four Confederate statues "public nuisances" and have them removed (except, oops, they did).
And that's why the Baltimore mayor didn't announce today that she is planning to remove all that city's Confederate statues. (Except, oops, she did).

I guess you missed it -- for real, in November, a hiring manager whom I know personally said in conversation, with me (and unaware of my political affiliations) that she was rejecting a candidate because he supported Trump and would be a bad culture fit and "uncomfortable" if he worked in our environment. This was for an engineering job.
If you supported Trump, then you are not worth hiring at my company. YOU. You (and me, if I posted under my real name) are not hire-able because you are right wing.

1. NO, I am not in favor of demolition of Jefferson Memorial or Stone Mountain.
1a. As I am not a resident of Georgia, I really have no say in whether the state of Georgia decides to demolish it.
1b. Although I do pay some small taxes/fees to Georgia.
2. My powers of prediction/gambling are limited. I cannot foretell 100 years in the future. I am however very confident in saying that I have zero fears that either will be demolished in my lifetime.
Anything else? Is this clear enough?

I do know people. I know liberals who have gone on 5000 word rants on Facebook multiple times per day, ones who defend antifa, ones who think that "fuck you" is a compelling argument for every political disagreement. All people who are otherwise normal and pleasant. I also know a couple of fair-minded and kind ones, but they are in the minority. The majority of leftists now are just full of hate, and they have a very broad spectrum of unpeople to rail against.
