Ice T Is Sickened By All the New Crimes He's Seen on Law & Order: SVU

This is a two year old gag but I'd never heard of it before (until Diversity & Comics mentioned it).

The gag goes like this: take a screenshot of Ice T talking on L&O: SVU (which is, I think, still on, unbelievably), and add a caption where he explains some Hot New Drug on the Streets, or some Evil New Sex Crime that's goin' down.

The guy who made up this gag is LiarTown, who's funny but also NSFW (he photoshops large penises on to pigeons, for example).

Here are the Ice T will now explain a baroque new crime to you memes. They're visually safe for work, but some of the stuff Ice T explains is goin' down the streets is pretty spicy stuff.

Like here's one:

I tried to watch Bones. The lead woman is just so dry and uninteresting. She's like a bowl full of warm, melted vanilla ice cream.

And the show is disgusting. Burnt corpses. Body parts. Cadabras with their chest splayed open.

White Collar was a good crime show. It focused on forgeries, art thefts, jewel heists, and so on. That artificial constraint forced the writers to avoid cliches. The series also wrapped up nicely before burning out.

23 Never cared for Law n' Order. Especially since it's always 'white guy what done that crime' era. Same for NCIS. Actual dramas about actual criminals actually caught for actually committing crimes is just fine. But that type of drama would require us to own up to the fact of just who commits the majority of crime in America. And by the way, I don't give a rats ass about why a crime is committed. Why should not enter into the equation.

The thing I find most interesting about Ice T is that when NBC needed an someone to play a cop in their then newest spinoff of their Law (amp) Order franchise, they went to a rapper best known for his hit, "Cop Killer".

37 The funny thing is, Americans who can't get enough of these teevee police procedurals are left with the impression that the cops are dialed in, spun up, and getting the job *done*. Especially the ones solving murders.

Whereas the sad actual reality is that even in a bunch of America's wealthiest and best-policed cities, the homicide clearance rate is often laughably bad.

Wanna off somebody? You should come do it in Scum Scamfrisco. Where in roughly half of the local murders the SFPD never even manage to make an arrest, much less successfully prosecute and imprison the perp. It's a "safe space" for killers.

My Three Sons was after I love Lucy. It started in 1960.

The suits were agin' William Frawley on I Love Lucy. It's hard to believe, but Frawley was bad to drink and not show up for work. Desi and Lucy wanted him, and so they wrote in his contract that his ass was gone the first time he showed up drunk or failed to show for anything other than a legitimate illness.

Frawley's health declined during My Three Sons and he died in 1965.

I Love Lucy still get an annual audience of 40 million in the US due to the reruns.

Lucy didn't like Vance at first. She believed in "only one pretty woman on screen at a time". It was a long story on how they finally chose Vance. They frumped her up well not to compete with Lucy. Later, Lucy realized she wasn't a threat and warmed up to her and they became good friends.

Vance starred in the second Lucy Show. She demanded to use her real name Vivian. She was sick of being "Ethel".

299 Not to sound like a Yorkshireman, but I was a kid we had three channels. To change those channels one had to approach the TV set and manually click to the next channel. NBC, CBS and a very faint ABC signal.

One year, cable came to town. In addition to our three, we now got two independent stations our Dallas, I believe.

We also got a weather channel. It was literally three "clocks" on a wall, one for time, one for temperature, one for the barometric pressure. A camera panned from one to the other then back.

"Wanna off somebody? You should come do it in Scum Scamfrisco. Where in
roughly half of the local murders the SFPD never even manage to make an
arrest, much less successfully prosecute and imprison the perp. It's a
"safe space" for killers."

Then under the rules followed in the UK, their murder rate would be way, way down since the only murders that count as murder for the official stats there are ones that have resulted in a conviction. And they are then considered a murder in the year of the conviction not the year the person was killed.
