A Very Moron Friday Fiction 100 Word Challenge

If you're not familiar with the concept, the Friday Fiction 100 word challenge presents you with a picture and nothing more. You take that picture and write a 100 word story based upon it. 100 words, no more, no less, on any subject the picture brings to mind. Well, last Friday's picture inspired me to write a very Moron story indeed.

FF.jpg

Yesterday, there had been a house. A wife, family, cars. Clothes, for God's sake. A beautiful life stretching before me like a wonderful dream. It was all right here, the world my oyster, the future my slave.

My parents gave me every advantage. My education gave me impeccable training. My abilities gave me limitless opportunity.

It was to be my coronation, my investiture, my entree into a clique of powerful men and a lifetime of dominance, power and wealth. It was the beginning of everything I had lusted for for so very long.

Why the HELL did I buy Val-U-Rite?

There's nothing else in the queue, so open thread until the ONT.

Living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself
In another part of the world
And you may find yourself
Behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house
With a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself, well
How did I get here?
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?"

Just one night amidst the lanterns of the floating world was enough to undo all of that. With rounds of sake toasts set to the plucking of a samisen; swords, armor, and clothes vanished until only a ragged loincloth was left. All unnoticed until a swish of fox tails revealed him sitting on the stairs to an empty lot.

The NFL - under Goddell?

I can see owners doing something about it.

The point of this seems to be FU, America.
They're free to do that, provided their employers allow it since they're doing this 'on the clock.' But I'm not going to watch if this starts up again. We didn't watch last year except for the Super Bowl. We can do that again quite easily.

252 From some guy named Rob Gray on Facebook:
I'm no tinfoil hat conspiracy nerd, but yesterday's events feel orchestrated. First, the police were given stand down orders by the mayor, who used to work directly with John Podesta and David Brock's Media Matters along with Obama's State Dept. transition team. The cops then FORCED Peaceful UTR participants to exit the park in a single-file line INTO ARMED ANTIFA waiting to assault them. LEO just watched it happen.
Secondly, most if not all of the attendees look more like LARPers than actual Trump supporters. Third, David Duke was there, which should throw up all sorts of red flags, as he likes to co-opt movements for personal gain. And fourth, the media all had their talking points ready, within minutes it was "those evil nazi Trump supporters!" being yelled on all channels.
Media Matters is known for their "false flag" operations where they send SEIU locals with guns to blend in with Republicans and cause havoc.
Did Obama's Shadow Government just cause a death on American soil?

Unless the "investigation" focuses mostly on actual civil rights questions - and not pointless piling on to a simple murder case involving a lone nutcase that should take about 3 days to wrap up - then it will suggest big trouble.

The only civil rights issues of note I can even see being in question are whether the permitted group(s) had their rights violated by police behavior (and local/state leadership of the police), then by "antifa" criminal behavior.

That promise is open to anyone who will trust the good news of the Cross, including Hillary Clinton. As a lifelong liberal Methodist (if that), will she? I seriously doubt it. But the offer is still as good for her as for anyone else.

And yet this-Sublime. Not from "Sinners In the hand of an Angry God":

299 Unite the Right is a Soros-funded honeypot psy-op that employs the Pied Piper strategy to damage the Republican brand by insinuating that Antifa goons disguised as Nazis represent the views of the entire Right wing in America (This is what Creamer and Democracy Partners have been up to lately.)
Some points that give the scam away:
1. Operation in Terry McAuliffe's state. No reason for this other than to give McAuliffe national attention for opposing it, launching him into the 2020 Dem primary. He even tried to Streisand more useful idiots into showing up by ordering everyone to stay away.
2. Use of the Confederate clag imagery. Republicans have no use for the Confederate flag (we never did, we crushed the Democrat rebellion that created the flag). We control the government for the vast majority of states at every level, the entire Federal government, and we own practically everything except a few tech companies. The only states we don't control are the ones that will always be cosmopolitan simply because they are coastal states whose economies run on imports and exports.
3. Ridiculously obvious propaganda shots that follow MSM and Democrats operating procedures of making a small group of 20 people appear to be a crowd of thousands.
4. Reports of violence against "Counter-protesters" at an "impromptu" rally. o one spontaneously organizes to counter-protest an impromptu rally unless they are associated with the organizers of the rally themselves.
5. The name. "Unite the Right". This is so obviously a "Pied Piper" op that I can't even. It is supposed to make the organization appear to represent the views of the entire Right Wing, so of course they go around giving Roman Salutes and waving Confederate flags and shouting "White Power!" while wearing Trump hats. And hen of course these same leftists load up their other twitter accounts and attack Trump for not denouncing them hard enough. Standard divide and conquer nonsense. They are going after what they perceive to be his base of Nazis while tarnishing the Republican brand.
6. I follow tons of actual right wing news sources and I didn't hear a word about this nonsense until the day of. Meaning it was never meant to attract actual right wingers. It was just supposed to be their little group of antifa actors with haircuts and collared shirts, all paid for and organized by Soros and directed by guys like Bob Creamer who staged the violent protests at Trump's rallies a year ago.
"Unite the Right" is fake. All the people associated with it at a leadership level are controlled opposition. Don't fall for this scam. Don't give the Left anymore ammo to attack us as Nazis. But in the end, don't be too concerned, because the Left will label you a Nazi and attack you for supporting Trump no matter what else you do. Just stay strong and do the right thing and ignore the insanity of the Left. Don't believe their lies.

So. Dumb twenty-year-old drives down a street he ought not have. Antifa goons start whacking on his car as it passes. He panics and punches it to escape. Not realizing there is a big crowd of lefty counterdemonstrators and stopped cars just ahead. He then realizes this and stands on the brakes. Too late.

I know where you're coming from but these things are cumulative, as we've been learning too late and to our increasing cost. Recognizing them as the threat they are does not necessarily equate to actively opposing them -- although these days, with information as the driving force behind pretty much everything, knowing can be a form of opposition; forewarned/forearmed, and all that, for the day they do come down your street.

Surely you would agree with that much?

362 >>>Surely you would agree with that much?

Given that's a vague statement, surely I agree.

363 353 incorrect. No libertarian would have posted the concepts you did last nite.
Posted by: kallisto at August 13, 2017 09:36 PM (AAbgH)

Libertarian concepts? You mean like GOLD! WEED! AUSTRIAN SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS!

Libertarians deserve every bit of that 2% they win during the election cycle. Every bit.

364 In the rural Maryland cemetery where my parents are buried, lots of graves have small American flags. They denote the graves of military veterans.

I saw three graves with small Confederate flags.

I would not want to see those flags removed.

Peaceful assembly is a constitutional concept, an American revolutionary concept. Don't think its provenance is exclusively libertarian.

372 Lots of Confederate graves in the biggest cemetery in town. But then, this is SC.

One year, I went out with the Boy Scouts to put U.S. flags on the graves of veterans. Someone had already been there to mark the graves of the Confederate dead. I would pray for them all.

373 363 . If the term libertarian is problematic, then substitute constitutionalist. It's all on last nite's thread. You can judge for yourself.

374 I had walked this way from work a thousand times. It seemed different in South Baltimore today when I saw the gangs draw up as if in rows. Just like the British did back when we kicked their ass. I stood up tall to the lady in front and asked why there were no more children. She kind of clicked her fingers. Not so much as a snap but her well coiffed nails did the work. They were instantly upon me but I am here having escaped. To where?

375 They thought they had taken everything from me. My wife and kids, my good name, my house in the Hamptons, and my entire wardrobe. The Constitution had been amended to single me out as a pariah with no legal or human rights. My biometrics were on every police and intelligence network worldwide, my credit was cut off, and infrared drones scoured the countryside for signs of my body heat.

As I sat down to rest on the crumbling steps, I saw something at my feet. It was a Chiclet. A plan started forming in my head.

Yes. It would do.

376 354 Margarita, I believe the country is at a fork in the road.

I don't know if we can drag anything back. Sometimes I think If this is what the young want let them have it.
They will have to live their mistakes as we all have.

On a dare we went skinny dipping down
at the swimming hole, just like we were kids; and just like then they
tied my clothes into knots.

I stood on the sandbank up to my knees
trying to undo the soaked knots, hooted at for being a loser, when
the guys went silent and skirled away into the brush.

When the church people started over the
bank for the baptism service I dove into the deep hole, under the
dead-fall trailing tangled fishing lines from bad casts. That is
where the nutria found me.

I can never go home again.

I cant believe I fell for that bs. "I'd be wiser...and smarter...and...like God." I had not a care in the world, and then I had to eat that f'in apple. F'in b*tch tricked me.

Paradise! Gone! OK, I didn't notice how HOT she was until after I bit it, but come on man..spike me a break and gimme another chance.

J*sus, what the hell happened to my doodle. It's all riled up now. I'll bet she's nearby.

(The Devil..from a bush nearby) "Did you notice how...HOT she is now?"

384 Val-U-Rite? Pretty sure that's a picture of a guy who used to be a high level software engineer at Google but screwed away his privilege by expressing thoughts that were a product of reason and evidence. Now all the leftists laugh at the homelessness they cast him down into after the rabid Google bitches bayed for his carcass and the gamma male CEO, urged on by the beta male top-knots he leads, doxxed the normal male and stripped him of his paycheck and his underwear. What is he thinking? That the only person at Google who actually thinks was him and that he has therefore managed to abscond with all the human capital in the entire company. Also, since they took his house, he is now sitting on a bare foundation and by building upon it can in short order leave all the Google bitches and all the Google gammas homeless if he wants to. He is thinking that yes, he wants to.
