Susan Collins: That Guy Who Called Me a Sell-Out for Defending Obamcare to the Hilt Sure is "Fat" and "Unattractive"

She said this to Jack Reed, who is of course a liberal Democrat Senator. Because of course a liberal Democrat is, John McCain style, her very good friend.

Just a lot of bitchiness from our degenerate Mean Girls political caste. This isn't a very serious offense -- but then, nothing they do or say is actually serious. It's all high school Mean Girls put-downs and posturing for social position (such as posturing about opposing Obamacare).

Collins issued her apology after she was heard telling Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., that Farenthold is "so unattractive it's unbelievable" after a Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing Tuesday.

"Well, fat guy. He's huge," Collins told Reed. "He's so … he's so unattractive, it's unbelievable. Did you see the picture of him in his pajamas next to this bunny, this Playbook bunny?

Anyone seen Susan Collins? She's not exactly the gold standard of physical beauty herself.

Collins' catty remarks were caught on hot mic. They were a response to Farenthold's statement on a talk radio show that some "northeastern" senators had sold out the party on Obamacare (which is true), and that were this a different era, and were those senators male, he might challenge them to a duel.

The last bit seems a bit histrionic and Social Positioning itself.

Still, it's pretty clear who Susan Collins' Very Good Friends are, and who she considers to be The Deporables in the national high school.

Coast is mostly driven by tourism. Portland is an enclave of its own. 30 miles in, it's like Appalachia, sometimes with a French accent. It's been a relatively high tax state for a long time.

209 Well the Maine hermit lived on some lady's land for a quarter of a century and she didn't even notice. (and the hermit had no idea it was private land.)

After he was caught, she said if she'd known she probably wouldn't have even called the authorities. The book said Mainers (Mainites?) have a different sense of private property.

If he'd tried that in Texas he would've had an ass full of shotgun pellets within a week. Probably within 24 hours, depending on how large and remote the land was.

255 The revolt - unprecedented in our history - that Trump represents will have to be repeated, 5 or 6 times (and that's just on the GOP side) for things to change. Don't think many, if any, of the 7 GOP senators who just voted AGAINST repealing O-care are up in '18 - so it's even more impossibler than it first sounded.

Then there are the 7 (?) Dem senators from Trump states up next year.

So far, to my amazement, there has been no sign of nervousness among them.

Of course there is still time, and these are the first votes that matter since the inauguration.

Of course O-care is a tiny, unpopular program that is shrinking by the month, and has been insolvent since the get-go. Trump had better lay down the law that he will *never* sign any bail-outs for the parasites formerly known as "insurance" companies. That, and welfare for the Collins ilk, is all anyone in the Beltway cares about (talking about the enablers and Dems). The anchor on the economy, the financial catastrophe for the individual market, the destruction of freedom - none of that is literally even mentioned except by mavericks on the fringes.

FFS how long before the WH realizes it has a key role to play here, and isn't just going to sit there and sign anything the Hill barfs up? Because that has been their public, and private, posture so far. The biggest mystery of Trump's presidency, to date.

When I was in college, a buddy and I went to Winter Carnival at Middlebury. One night we put on sports coats over our t-shirts and jeans and went from party to party telling the kids that we were potato farmers from Skowhegan, ME and we were negotiating with the trustees of Middlebury to buy the land the school was on for potatoes.

We told them they could keep the buildings but we were taking all the land, even the land around the buildings, for the spuds. The wailing and gnashing of teeth that followed was epic. Some of them were begging us, practically in tears, not to buy the land.

You can't be true friends. You have to be willing to lie, at least to conceal your true feelings or appear to not contest their ravings. They always rave and always look for re enforcement. They are all bottomless pits of need. they need confirmation from you. If you contradict their worldview its not going to go well. everything is political, even cupcakes. Sleaza is in a bad place for that kind of posturing. She tried to play the race card, claiming she was standing up for the Natives, but the Natives have their own healthcare system and don't use Medicaid or Medicare, so she sort of stepped on her saggy boobs there.

We are stuck with an ass of a governor currently, but that won't last either. He took the cash, like a compete whore, but of course that didn't help much.

The price of healthcare up here is astronomical--so much that it is often cheaper to fly to Seattle for anything beyond a cold, and BCBS pays for the travel expenses. Insurance is equally staggering, but nothing Sleaza or Walker has done alleviates any of that cost.

She's just in it for the personal gain, and I'd like to prove that and then get her ass booted next election. Walker's already a done deal.

The people that want their ObamaCare were never voters in contention anyway. So they are chasing a voter that's already dead to them.

Because the entire military brass is against it.
A transgender is , as posted, someone who is mentally unable to accept their genitals and the typical behavior that having those genitals produces.

It actually does have a psychiatric definition, Body dysmorphia. No different in problem than someone who looks in the mirror , weighs 100 lbs as an adult and sees a 300 lb person.

It is a psychiatric dysfunction which comes under somatic delusion, which is someone who believes they have a medical defect.

Admitted psychiatric problems used to be a barrier to entry into the military because the persons coping skills are suspect and they cannot be relied upon.

The left decided that people with this disorder were going to be useful as "victims" and with little fanfare initially, managed to shame the psychiatric profession into considering treating these people with alternatives such as sex hormones, and indulging them in cross dressing, and cognitive therapy that reinforces , rather than treats with options, their delusion.

Then, when anyone outside the profession complained, the victim card came out and a new class of victims for the left's use was born.

People who are treated for this by "transitioning" are on lifetime sex hormones, and are given as part of their 'get comfortable with who I am "(no coping skills, just indulging) numerous surgeries to remove outward body parts.
This doesn't cure or adequately treat the problem, it simply covers it up for a while.

And this same treatment would be needed in the military.

I saw the morning, there are 250 transgenders in the military that are currently transitioning at the military's expense. They are having surgery, hormones, etc.

Imagine what having opposing sex hormones does to your mind, let alone whatever genitals you might have left.
