Terrible! How could anyone like that stuff? But beer, you reflect, is an acquired taste; one gradually trains oneself—or just comes—to enjoy that flavor. What flavor? The flavor of that first sip? No one could like that flavor! Beer tastes different to the experienced beer drinker. Then beer isn't an acquired tast; one doesn't learn to like that first taste; one gradually comes to experience a different, and likable, taste. Had the first sip tasted that way, you would have liked beer wholeheartedly from the beginning!” ― Douglas Hofstadter Quote IV “A man has no more right to an opinion for which he cannot account than for a glass of beer for which he cannot pay.” ― Anonymous Snowflakes. Special f*cking snowflakes. It appears that millennials are killing the beer industry. My daughter was stillborn on July 7. It did not come as a surprise. We knew she was going to die due to an extremely rare fatal neural tube disorder called exencephaly, but we had hoped for a live birth and a few hours with her. A week after the delivery, I spoke about her too-short life for the funeral service at Sunrise Baptist Church in Custer, Washington. How do you eulogize a girl who never lived? She never crawled, walked, spoke, cried. We don’t even have honest dates for the tombstone, since that clock starts at birth. By the time of her delivery, my daughter had left the building. “My mission, my job was just to save him, keep him alive. There was no politics in it then. I was a young Ranger and this was my chance,” Bumanglag says. “I worked on him for over two hours in the back of a helicopter as the sun went down. At the end, I’m working under finger light.”A young American, half a world away without the 20/20 vision of an armchair quarterback. Or a crystal ball to see the outrageous act of a certain Canadian P.M. I recently attended an academic conference at the University of Notre Dame called “Intersectional Inquiries and Collaborative Action: Gender and Race.” It felt like a return to my undergraduate years in the early 1990s. I saw women with shaved heads wearing ethnic print scarves, Birkenstocks, and baggy black clothes. Many of the participants smelled of curry and incense. I attended the conference because I was researching the concept of “intersectionality” as part of a year-long fellowship to study academic diversity. A year ago, I knew almost nothing about the diversity movement in academia. Now I’ve learned that it is only the tip of a very large iceberg, and that this movement is more extensive, and more radical, than the anodyne term “diversity” would lead one to believe. Here, by way of example, are a couple of stories readers asked for my thoughts on in the last 24 hours: Richard Dawkins has become the latest speaker to be prevented from speaking at Berkeley. Professor Dawkins is a world-famous scientist, whose book The Selfish Gene has just been voted "the most inspiring science book of all time" in a poll commissioned by the Royal Society. His science is not the problem. Dawkins is also an atheist. That's not the problem, either - or it wasn't when he was principally urinating over the Pope ("a leering old villain in a frock") and the Catholic Church (an "evil corrupt institution" that's also a "child-raping institution"). All three quotes are from just one Washington Post column: that's how respectable and mainstream Dawkins was back then in 2010. UC-Berkeley a campus full of lily-livered spineless pussies. Is this "rock star" a busy body who should mine his own business? “I’ve been doing this for 20 years and I’ve never walked of [sic] stage during a song before,” he wrote. “For almost a whole song I watched a guy stand a row behind a girl flirting and then trying to kiss her… At times she seemed ok with his advances but after the second time of watching her push his face and hands away and try to turn back to watch the show I asked the security guard to go check on them.”The ONT's opinion. If it was such a problem in the audience, let individuals involved or nearby settle it. Fake news. Biased news. The News is biased and it is as simple as what is and isn't published/broadcast. Not all deaths are equal. How many deaths does it take for a natural disaster to be newsworthy? This is a question researchers Thomas Eisensee and David Strömberg asked in a 2007 study.1 The two authors found that for every person killed by a volcano, nearly 40,000 people have to die of a food shortage to get the same probability of coverage in US televised news.2 In other words, the type of disaster matters to how newsworthy networks find it to be. The visualizations below show the extent of this observed “news effect”. The first chart shows the proportion of each type of disaster that receives news coverage, and the second shows the “casualties ratio”, which tells us—all else equal—how many casualties would make media coverage equally likely for each type of disaster. I don't know about you, but when I went to summer camp it was a vacation for my Mom & Dad. Are 'Helicopter Parents' ruining summer camp? "It beeped in the envelope. That's how we knew." Leslie Conrad is the director of Clemson Outdoor Lab in Pendleton, S.C., which runs several different camps during the summer. Clemson bans cellphones and other electronic devices for campers. That makes sense. We traditionally think of summer camp as a place to swim in the lake and weave friendship bracelets, not text and play video games. But sometimes, Conrad says, parents will give their children a decoy to turn in and a second phone to keep hidden. And, a few years ago, an 11-year-old camper was sent a cellphone in a care package. "We just held on to it and sent it back home at the end of the session," Conrad says. When is a sammich not a sammich? When the local fishwrap says it is. It is difficult to admit when you are wrong, so it’s all the more admirable that the Louisville Courier-Journal has issued a correction to six previous articles, published between 1887 and 1966, which erroneously refer to “hot dogs” as “sandwiches.” July 25, 1960, Roy Orbison reached No.2 on the US singles chart with ‘Only the Lonely,’ his first hit. The song was turned down by The Everly Brothers and Elvis Presley, so Orbison decided to record the song himself. via thisdayinmusic.com July 25, 1970, The Carpenters started a four week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with '(They Long To Be) Close To You'. The first of three US No.1's and 17 other Top 40 hits. The song was written in 1963 by Hal David and Burt Bacharach and was first offered to Herb Alpert, who said he didn't feel comfortable singing the line 'so they sprinkled moon dust in your hair'. via thisdayinmusic.com On July 19, U.S. District Court Judge Bernard Friedman denied bail for Dr. Jumana Nagarwala, a physician, as the Detroit Free Press reported, “accused of cutting the genitals of two Minnesota girls as part of a religious procedure.” According to the court, Nagarwala may have subjected as many as 100 girls to the procedure over the last 12 years. Prosecutors also accuse co-defendant Dr. Fakhruddin Attar of letting Nagarwala use his clinic for the genital mutilation, with his wife Farida Attar “holding the girls’ hands during the procedures.” What a barbaric faith. Snopes.com, one of the internet's first and most famous fact-checking websites, said Monday that a previous website hosting vendor continues to "hold the Snopes.com web site hostage," and the site is in danger of shutting down if it doesn't raise $500,000. Snopes has started a GoFundMe campaign and has raised just under $55,000 by just over 2,000 people in 4 hours. This makes me want to run out and sign up for Single payer health care here in the U.S.A. Medicaid patients with glaucoma received less testing than those with commercial health insurance, according to a study from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Researchers evaluated 21,766 individuals who were 40 years or older and newly diagnosed with open-angle glaucoma between 2007 and 2011. Of these individuals, 18,372 were covered by commercial health insurance and 3,394 were covered by Medicaid. "Medicaid recipients were 234 percent more likely to not receive any glaucoma testing in the 15 months after initial diagnosis," the study explains. He soon met the minor for the first and only time — describing her as a “wonderful girl” — but after taking a DNA test, learned she was not his after all. Hey Whitey, No need to apply. Somewhere along the way I developed an allergy to beer. Perhaps when I was in Europe I drank a one or two (hundred) too many Hefeweissens and the yeast sediment built up over the threshhold dosage.
If i have 1 or 2 beers, my sinuses back up and I sneeze a lot. So I don't really enjoy A beer anymore. However, it does not seem to happen if I drink, say, SIX beers. Some might say I have identified a solution, not a problem. Posted by: blaster at July 25, 2017 10:15 PM (jHrzU) 88

"Do you remember your first sip of beer? Terrible!"
It was terrible because, back in the day, beer was terrible. I laughed at the linked article. It notes Constellation Brands being downgraded by Wall Street analysts. I had no idea who Constellation was. They sell a bunch of el cheapo Mexican beers and a handful of super-expensive craft American beers like Ballast Point. Yeah, no. I won't drink the Mex crud and I won't pay $14 for a six-pack of Ballast Point Trashfish Trippel either. Maybe the analysts are on the ball with this call. I'm an oddball, I guess. I liked my first taste of beer. It was a bit bitter but it was still appealing. I think I was 12 at the time. Dad gave me a small glass that Thanksgiving and allowed all of us Kids to have a beer on important Holidays. The story about the Baby. I have no words to express my sorrow that the Mom and Dad must still be feeling. Heart wrenching. My only complaint is about the content. Not enough. Got anything else? All ginger beer is not created equal. Goslings is the Platonic ideal of ginger beer, I guess, but 1) I find it a bit harsh and 2) it is made with high fructose corn syrup - make mine sugar. My current favorite for making mules is a store brand ginger beer from Giant supermarket. Cane sugar and made in small batches (it says that on the side like its a good thing, so I will say its a good thing).
Ginger ale, well, here I am a hipster snob. Seagrams or Canada Dry? Ick. Vile swill. Again, make my sugar sugar. Favorite, most hipsterish ginger ale is Bruce Cost Ginger Ale which is just carbonated water, cane sugar, and ginger - no other ingredients. Unfiltered, and again with the sediment. Another good ginger ale is Dominion Brewery. Used to be made in Virginia (hence the name) but now owned by Coastal Brewing Company aka Anheuser-Busch, so Dominion is made in Delaware. Re the stillborn daughter - my heart goes out to her Mom and Dad. Son #3 was stillborn on All Saint's Day years ago. I'm sure that was the final straw that lead to his mother slipping inexorably into madness and eventually, death. I haven't missed him every day for quite some time but whenever anyone asks me how many children I have, I pause for a second or two before I start to answer. "Well. . . . . " That experience lead me to hold two opposing views of troubles at the same time. On one hand, I'm very sympathetic to most folks when trouble comes upon them; on the other I simply can no longer tolerate any form of whining. Not even a little. When you drink alcohol, it goes through the liver first, not directly into the bloodstream. Hepatic vein or whatever it is. The output from the intestines is routed directly to the liver. With an enema, the liver is bypassed, and the ethanol is quickly absorbed directly into the bloodstream. Blood alcohol levels can get very high, very quickly. Idiots have shot alcohol directly into the veins as someone mentioned, but that's even more dangerous than butt chugging. IPA is one of the reasons a lot of craft beer companies are dying. I am told that the bitterness of the hops hides the pallid flavor of the quickly brewed beer, since hops are cheaper than experience.
It was a big thing about 2008 to have lots of hops in beer, after all there was a hop shortage and the growers around here were pretty excited - other than the cost of fuel oil for the big dryers going up and up . . . but lots of hops was a status signal. Now, of course, there is lots of hops on the market. But it is like chilling beer to the freezing point, it hides the flavor. Although you can be all stylish for drinking it, most trendy folk are probably going to go back to drinking wine spritzers and candy flavored vodkas because they like the flavor. The next big fad is rarely something with staying power. I mean, there are some: Sex in Adam's day, the automobile in Ford's, digital watches, cell phones; but it is a poor gamble to sink it all on a fad. There are many drugs that can't taken orally because the first pass through the liver (as well as the gastric "pass" itself) completely metabolize the drug before it gets into general circulation. ANd some, like testosterone, would be very toxic to the liver on that first pass. I got to looking up ethanol metabolism. "I used to put Newcastle in my chili, but I can't find it any more"
I used to both drink the bona fide Newcastle brown and use it in various recipes, including a famous beer bread, but the firm behind it decided that transatlantic importation of the genuine article cost too much. So they licensed out the name to a bottom of the barrel Stateside brewery. You could tell right away that things had changed. The clone brewed under license had a weird metallic undertone on the palate. Other aspects of flavor were off. I thought I'd gotten a bad bottle, stored in a hot truck or something. Nope. Sadly enough. That's how it is now. Posted by: torquewrench at July 25, 2017 11:27 PM (ujwCG) 354

I am amazed at how well Mexican Coke - the drink stop it! - sells and yet Coke makes no "real sugar" product. Seems like a no brainer to me.
Pepsi has a real sugar deal, and there is Throwback Mountain Dew with real sugar, as well as Mountain Dew Shine. 151 Rum and apple cider, on ice 60/40
Preferably one of those 32 oz cups you get at amusement parks. My favorite is from King's Island. Fill with ice. Pour. Stir. Chug. Make another one. You feel the first one while making the second. I call that one hardcore. The cider does wonderful things to the molasses. It is dangerous, though. Makes it somewhat easy to Solo a fifth of 151. The Glass of Beer
The lanky hank of a she in the inn over there Nearly killed me for asking the loan of a glass of beer: May the devil grip the whey-faced slut by the hair And beat bad manners out of her skin for a year. That parboiled imp, with the hardest jaw you will ever see On virtue's path, and a voice that would rasp the dead, Came roaring and raging the minute she looked at me, And threw me out of the house on the back of my head. If I asked her master he'd give me a cask a day; But she with the beer at hand, not a gill would arrange! May she marry a ghost and bear him a kitten and may The High King of Glory permit her to get the mange. by James Stephens 1882-1950 Posted by: andycanuck #CNNBlackmail at July 25, 2017 11:38 PM (nlbfN) 381

I had my first beer when I was 14. Some kids from my bus persuaded me to leave a Christmas party our parents were attending. One of the dudes had some stuff in a sack in a hole in his backyard, so we took it and walked to the park. We drank warm Budweiser, which I thought was probably the worst thing ever invented.
Then we broke out the Bacardi. I'd never had liquor in my life. My friends took their sips, straight from the bottle, and immediately spat it out and ran off. I thought they were a couple of pussies, so I picked up the abandoned bottle and took a big gulp. Turns out I was a pussy too. Posted by: CPT11A at July 25, 2017 11:39 PM (hxUdS) 390

I'm sure the total metabolism is done by the liver, with the later passes. I roll an Indiana story and root beer story into one.
I was on a lengthy motorcycle camping trip, and was headed from Ft. Wayne to Lafayette. It was a Sunday, and most places were closed. I stopped at a closed gas station west of Wabash and bought a can of Barq's root beer. I slammed it down, clapped my full-face helmet back on, and motored on down the road. About half a mile down the road, I experienced the most explosive (and curiously satisfying) belch that I ever have had. I'm surprised it didn't blow the helmet off. Bread's The Guitar Man had a song on the B-side that I liked better than their popular songs because it had violins and piano, just a really lush sound and the singer sounded upbeat when he sang about begging his kind woman not to go astray (iirc). On the brighter side there was a beer called Piels which was served for a time in dark brown wide bottles with a barrel shape. Best of all they had a mouth twice the normal size. Piels Real Draft Big Mouths. Even better there were 8 ounce versions. Ice them down in an ice chest and they would be gone in three or four ice cold blasts. My mother had a stillborn baby. She and my dad were living on the family farm with my aunt Josie and my mom got up to go to the bathroom. One of Josie's cats ran across the staircase landing and startled my mom and she fell down the stairs. She was 8 months pregnant. After that she never felt the baby kick again. Robert was born a month later - a perfectly formed little boy with the cord wrapped around his neck.
I know there are many cat lovers among the horde, but you can't blame my mother for hating and fearing cats for the rest of her life. We also lost my twin, and I'm sure that was tough, but she didn't know she was going to have twins and she still had one baby. It must have been worse to carry a child for a month, fearing that it might be dead and than to go through all the pain of labor only to find out your worst fears were true . You guys OK? I scrolled through the comments.. If they made a word salad picture of the comments... Yeesh. Beer enemas?
--------- Best Dylan Album - something pre-1975, maybe even pre-crash Bob To the guy that said the very first always beer tastes bad - nonsense. Twaddle. That first cigarette, now that was pretty gnarly. Rauchbier tastes like drinking a campfire. Not all German beer is good, I mean it's all good quality, but they have some girly stuff too. I tried them all, northern stuff. Pils is good. Hefe Weissen - Lichtenauer, or maybe Tucher, on tap is nectar of the gods. It is beer for people who think they don't like beer. Made with wheat, instead of barley. It could be anecdotal, but I don't think people get so rowdy drinking it as they might other beers. I've had American made wheat beers, maybe they've got their act together by now, but the ones I tried were completely undrinkable. Not even close. There was a big warehouse fire wiped out a big chunk of the hop supply several years back. The fad of overhopped beers was stupid, agreed. They are pretty easy, and fun, to grow. Roundabouts might make sense in rural areas, because the four ways are sometimes pretty deadly. Still not really convinced. In town, they take up too much real estate. I really don't see any special need for them - I think it's just something else being forced on people out of spite. That makes about as much sense as anything.

The Hat @12:23: I don't have a preference either way, as far as the climate goes. There's air conditioning everywhere, and I spend as little time as possible outside whether I'm in the desert or the bayou.
Whether it's the desert or the bayou, though, Texas is one of the very few places where I would leave the house to meet people. I'd leave my air-conditioned house and drive my air-conditioned car to get into an air-conditioned venue as quickly as possible, but my introverted ass would still actually leave the house from time to time to go out and meet people. Because Texas. Thinking more deeply on this... maybe Colorado isn't where I should be living. Posted by: Prothonotary Warbler at July 26, 2017 12:37 AM (3YxFh) 517

Didn't read the "millenials killing beer" link (hey, it's right there in the HQ SOP, sez I don't have to).
This must refer to "non-craft" beer, or American-style lager, or whatever the proper term is? As in, a declining market share for that segment, vs. "craft"? Anywho, I'm greatly enjoying the explosion of craft beer. But still drink the other stuff. Most people I know drink and like both. Not like this most places, I get that, but around here it's easy to find a new one to visit or a familiar one you're happy to visit again. Out of about 50 I've been to so far, exactly one (1) had the slightest attitude or personnel issues. Most are extremely friendly, easygoing. Posted by: rhomboid at July 26, 2017 12:42 AM (QDnY+) 526

Certainly plan to go some day. For some time have had a notional military museum trip in my head, stringing the pearls together starting from Tucson, all the way east to Jane D'oh's area (Mighty Eighth museum). Quite a few places to hit on that route. In TX, the Nimitz/Pacific museum is the prime target. Also the Commemorative Air Force HQ, which is somewhere in TX I think. Find one still made with cane sugar, like I said the HFCS just ruins soda. Or maybe a "throwback" version like Pepsi does. Maybe they could get away with cutting in a little CS, maybe 10% but they all use 100% corn syrup now. It doesn't have the carbonation right, even if it's just artificial carbonation. It doesn't satisfy, no matter how much ya drink. Spring Grove, MN has a line of specialty sodas that are available regionally. Posted by: irright at July 26, 2017 01:07 AM (85f6P) But you know, if we ever wanted to play identity politics with the Left, we could really own them with that issue. Most Native Americans assimilated, and assimilation is never a one-way street. Native culture made some fairly big ideological contributions to the American ethos. Our level of support for our military has no analog in European culture - but has a clear analog in every tribe's support for its warriors. Our hunting culture has few if any analogs in Europe - hunting there is mostly a sport for the rich. Then there's the rugged individualism, love of nature, etc. It could be argued that the American mainstream culture contains some of the last remnants of entire pre-contact Native cultures, and that we as the descendants of those assimilated peoples, are their heirs in both blood and tradition. It then follows that the Left, in their mad quest to make everything emulate Europe at any cost, are attempting to complete their works of destruction against the Natives of this continent. There's an intersection in Mediumville (near where we live) that put in a roundabout a few years ago.
It had been a four-way stop since the intersection existed. But it also had become a main artery in and out of downtown. In high-traffic periods, the four-way sorting could mean long lines of traffic. They really needed to put in a fully-developed intersection with left-turn lanes and stoplights and street triggers. Unfortunately, this would mean taking up a huge footprint (cutting into housing areas and a golf course) and it would've been ugly. So they put in a roundabout. Smaller footprint, no lights, simpler all around, pretty planter in the middle. It really does work better, for the money spent, when everybody knows what they're doing, but all it takes is one idiot who doesn't know how to roundabout to mess things up. I ran into two such idiots just in the last two days. Posted by: mindful webworker near mediumville at July 26, 2017 01:14 AM (44Kmm) 575

Sorry for jumping in here, but I have to comment on the story of the guitarist who left the stage to deal with a creep in the audience who wouldn't leave the girl in front of him alone. The ONT's suggestion that "let the individuals involve settle it" is infuriating. If you read the story, it's clear that the girl was telling the guy no and removing his hands from her body, but he wasn't understanding her no. Exactly how were the 'individuals involved' supposed to settle it when one of them is being an a**hole?
Props to the guitarist for doing something about the situation. It would be nice if more men would step up and police the boorish behavior of other men instead of expecting the girl to deal with it all on her own. Posted by: biancaneve at July 26, 2017 01:28 AM (A/iod) 586
There's a college classical music station we enjoy, but which is marginal in our area. Driving home at night, their signal is often staticy, especially at the bottom of the hill (where I claim static accumulates). A lot of our states have Indian names. Like Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wisconsin just for starters. Even states that don't have Indian names will often have Indian names for towns, like Seattle and Puyallup, Washington. And all those geographical features, too! Like the Chickamauga River and Lake Winnebago.
This, IMO, is a strong piece of evidence against the grievance merchants' claims that white people actively engaged in genocide against the red man.
Posted by: biancaneve at July 26, 2017 01:28 AM (A/iod) ------------------------- It sounds like one of those Swedish or German music festivals, you know the ones where female music lovers are no longer safe because of the behavior of the "rapefugees" brought into their countries to "enrich" and provide "diversity" to formerly "boring" Europe. If white people had really wanted to wipe out the Indians like that, why keep the Indians' names for so many places?
The fact is that there are far more Indians (feather) alive, now, than there ever would have been without contact. The New World was so sparsely populated it was ridiculous and that wasn't changing, no way, no how, without the introduction of technological advancement, the horse and other gifts from European contact. On the other hand, without contact there would only be a couple of million indians (feather) in the world, at best ... but we'd all be treated to sun festivals with 20,000 people having their beating hearts yanked out of their chests and bar-b-q'd. A piece of meat between two pieces of bread is a sandwich, Steve. And a hot dog fits that description. It's a sandwich.
If your argument is based on the shape of the meat, then an Italian sausage sandwich isn't actually a sandwich. If your argument is based on the shape of the bread, then a Philly cheesesteak isn't a sandwich. This is ludicrous, of course, because those are obviously sandwiches. Another reason a hot dog is a sandwich... you don't put ketchup on a hot dog, just like you don't put ketchup on a sandwich. A hot dog is a sandwich. They discontinued the Pork Belly, which was a quick and tasty 900 calories. The briskett is only 660 calories. I thought that the Triple Thick Bacon would be the same as pork belly, but no. It is cripsy, like bacon. But sliders of most any meat they are currently selling as a sandwich are a buck each between 1 and 4. Off times, they are $2, but still a good deal, IMO. Posted by: Everybody Hates Millennials at July 25, 2017 10:36 PM (qYCgM) I shudder to think of the next generation of people after "millenials".... Will we say "Man, say what you want about Millenials, at least they weren't THIS bad!" Or will there be some big cultural whirl-around whiplash reversal and the next generation will have a massive allergic reaction to all things "liberal" (leftist, democrat, barbarian, whatever). One reason I despise the term "millennial" so bloody much is (with the fact that the American need to pigeonhole and classify everyone is grating to say the least) is the fact that being young and stupid isn't a phenomenon invented by today's crop of young people. To wit, the "millennials" all have a hero in Bernie Sanders. Or so we are repeatedly assured. Perhaps. But in that case we had "millennials" in 1972. George McGovern had a following among young people then and sounded very much then as what the evil Mr. Sanders sounds like today. McGovern even wanted what we would call "universal basic income" today. There will always be young and stupid people, and many of those young will become wise over time. Or so we hope. Mooch The Magnificent has claimed his first leaky scalp, Michael Short, a Preibus loyalist. He 'resigned', probably to spend more time with his family of stray cats.

Michael Short, a senior assistant Press Secretary for Donald Trump, has resigned shortly after new Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci revealed he wanted to fire him and vowed to crack down on leaks, Politico is reporting.
I imagine from his job title that he is rounding up stray semicolons, and beating them into comas. Or commas; whatever. May his dick leak less than his mouth does. See? I can say nice things on occasion. Posted by: GnuBreed at July 26, 2017 05:04 AM (6jaju) 669

The Hina Alvi story /indicted husband (Amran?) story seems about to break wide open.
I wonder what these two Pakistani muslims who have been paid more than 3 million dollars by dems over the past few years have on Greg Meeks and Brillo -head Wasserman Schultz (and the Clintons?) that kept them protected for all of these corrupt years. Smashed hard drives and Brillo head threatening cops to get her harddrive back from the leaking investigation is a big red flag. 674: I bet Wasserman Shultz and Meeks are not the only dems shitting themselves right now over Awan and his wife. It will be interesting to see which dems move first to retain the top D.C. defense lawyers.

Awan's brother also on the DNC payroll. Step mother accused them of extortion previously. This should be good ...and answer some questions about why the dems/press are so set on keeping the focus on Russian 'collusion.'

There's road construction in Orange now, but that sign is still there. TXDoT better keep it. It's beautiful. BEAUMONT 23 EL PASO 857 Oh, and El Paso is closer to San Diego than it is to Houston. Damn I love this state. Posted by: CatchThirtyThr33 at July 26, 2017 03:06 AM (UXukZ) I still remember the time I missed my flight out of Beaumont and had to rent a car and drive to El Paso. I left at 8:10 in the morning, and arrived at 8:15 at night. That was one hell of a day's driving. Posted by: Colorado Alex In Exile at July 26, 2017 06:31 AM (Tnhbr) 685

Couldn't read the BI article -- until sites will indemnify users against ad-network-delivered malware (lookin' at you, Forbes), I don't shut off AdBlock Plus for nobody. What I'm curious about is whether we're talking about the beer industry, or the fermented corn-and-rice-and-someone-says-"hops"-over-the-vat industry.

Which one did you build? Sandy or Roethlis? Posted by: Hillary Clinton at July 26, 2017 03:14 AM (/qEW2) And I thought I was obscure. Okay, got it. It's a twist on Bilderberger. Funny, no one has ever asked before. I'm not a Bilderberger, just a flipper at McDonalds. I always thought the Burgerbuilders (or Bergerbilders) should have been a card in Steve Jackson's Illuminati! game. They could be Bilderberger splitters, a la the Judean People's Front.
