They could do what prosecutors in places like MA and NH do: reduce serious felony charges to misdemeanors for illegal alien criminals, so that the illegal aliens won't be deported.

Prosecutors in Chicago could reduce felony charges for blacks to misdemeanors, and rationalize it by pointing out that many black criminals can't afford the high bail for felonies. Social justice for all!

104 Rabbi Haim Druckman, head of Yeshivat Or Etzion and the Bnei Akiva network of Yeshivas and Ulpanas (religious Zionist girls high schools), called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu not to succumb to pressure and to leave the magnetometers on the Temple Mount.

I urge you from the depths of my heart not to give in to Arab terror under any circumstances; this is purely a security matter. Magnetometers are everywhere, at the Western Wall, in the Tomb of the Patriarchs, and they are there because of Arab terror. We all must use them so that no one will be hurt, and they must also be on the Temple Mount. Policemen were killed as a result of there being no magnetometers; its a pity they werent installed earlier - the two policemen would not have been killed.

Yeah I agree but don't bet the house on that one...I see a cave...ugh I mean compromise coming

106 True story: Someone my mate games with is a sex crimes prosecutor in NYC. She was prosecuting an illegal immigrant for raping a seven year old girl. The rapist was going to plead guilty because the case against him was rock solid. The judge kept refusing to accept his guilty plea because it would have made him subject to deportation. I don't know how it eventually shook out.
______________________

Yes, for some reason a lot of judges and prosecutors want to help keep every vicious, no-good illegal alien criminal in the U.S., preying upon Americans.

That illegal alien freak who slashed the throats of those two doctors in Boston had previously been charged with several armed bank robberies. Instead of getting the multi-year sentence that any other armed bank robber would have received, he got a sentence of less than a year. The sentence was specifically designed to be under a year, so as not to trigger the illegal alien criminal's deportation. (And we wouldn't want to deport a repeat-offender armed bank robber, because we just don't have enough home-grown armed bank robbers apparently.) So to express his intense gratitude for the gift of the light sentence he'd received, this noble illegal alien criminal went on to commit a home invasion/burglary and vicious murder of two doctors.

I guess we need illegal alien armed bank robbers and burglars/murderers more than we need American doctors. And apparently we also need illegal alien kiddie rapists more than we need neighborhoods that are safe for kids.

Kurt Warner will be inducted in the NFL HOF next month. I'm thinking of driving down to be part of it because his story is one of the most inspirational sports stories of all time. Undrafted and working in developmental leagues and arena football, he kept working hard against the odds, never losing his faith in God, and eventually got his break and took the woebegone Rams to the Super Bowl twice, winning one. He then started getting concussions and his timing became off, and bounced from team to team. Finally he caught fire again with the mutt Cardinals, an original NFL franchise in Shitcargo, and took them to a Super Bowl. Before Tom Brady's last Super Bowl, Warner had the top 3 records for passing yardage.

I'm sure others have experience with this as well, but I knew somebody with that diagnosis. Was initially told they had about 10 years. Of course, it didn't end up BEING 10 years, more like 2, but it really depends on what stage they are in.

I don't remember if the lower or higher number is worse, but it had to do with, if you are at stage 4 or 2 (whichever), it's slow growing, and just park itself there for years. In the more aggressive stage, it grows incredibly fast, and you can be walking, talking, carrying on more or less normally one week, and be bed ridden the next, and dead the week after that.

That's what I witnessed. I think the docs were right, in that the slower stage CAN last for years, just in this person's experience, they must have been further along into it before it was diagnosed than anyone realized.

Yes, I took care of a close family member who died from this type of tumor. The first few months after the diagnosis are not too bad. The chemo used for this is fairly easy for most people to tolerate. The patients get fatigued, but most don't have to deal with the constant vomiting, etc., that many other chemo patients experience. But after a few months, the cancer is back, and it's much more aggressive now, and quickly spreads to other parts of the brain. The patient begins to lose control over bodily functions, has trouble walking, sitting up, seeing, etc. They forget things, can't recognize people they know; sometimes they become very paranoid. Eventually they lose the ability to speak and become bed-ridden. Some can't swallow, and have to get their meds by anal suppositories. Then there are days, or weeks, when the patient is semi-comatose, and you're just waiting for them to die. It's awful for everybody.

A guy I used to play basketball with works out with a lot of local football players. One day I asked him if he knew London Fletcher; he got a big smile on his face and spent about five minutes telling me about how he went to his mother's church and what an undersized great guy he was. Went to Div 3 John Carroll University and had a probably HOF career by playing smart and hard for the Rams and Redskins. Usually was the defensive captain because he conceptually had an excellent grasp of the defense.

171 #133-The devotional from Our Daily bread" from last year contains a reference to Psalm 27- a wonderful psalm which starts out "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is my stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?."

In verses 10 it says, "If my mother and my father forsake me, the Lord will take me up."

This is the note on that verse from my Bible. "The Life Application Bible."

Many have had the experience of being forsaken by father and mother. Broken homes..., addiction to drugs or alcohol, psychological or physical abuse can leave children crippled by this loss. Even in adults, the pain may linger. God can take that place in our life. He can fill that void and heal that hurt. He can direct us to adults who may take the role of father or mother for us.

Help with resources for people who have been in abusive situations is available at hopefortheheart.org, a place where you can also put in prayer requests.

(Disclaimer; I am not involved with this ministry. I am not employed by them. I have just read some of the resources and listened to the counseling program and found it quite helpful. So have others whom i have known)

200 I wish someone would just say that Kapernick won't ever play in the NFL again because he was a one-trick pony.

The read-option was new and it took defenses a year to adjust.

Now, everyone does it and every defense can stop it--you still have to have a QB that can throw.

And since he doesn't have an arm, he can't do anything else.

As I've said, in college these hotshots will face--at most--4 guys on defense who will make it in the NFL; four guys out of 11 fast and smart enough.

Now they face 11 like that and they don't look so hot. That's why running QBs will never make it as running QBs in the NFL.

But, running QBs are almost always black--so it's racist to say they won't make it as running QBs in the NFL.

If it is a stage IV glioblastoma tumor then I suspect John McCain will be shuffling off this mortal coil soon. I'm not gloating or callous with that, merely stating a fact.

I've seen men half his age and in excellent physical shape succumb to brain cancer in a matter of months. And that is with surgery and all that toxic shit they pumped into them.

The saddest part about that whole process is watching people lose the desire to live. Their lives become nothing but unbearable pain and the eyes get that glassy "Please just let this end" look. Watching that physical and emotional degeneration is worse than the afflicted's actual passing.

I also lost a friend many years ago to this - very young age - horrible and I do not wish it on anyone - but not retiring to face this and be with his family? WTF - it really does put into perspective how out of touch with reality everyone in DC is and what it does to once even fairly honorable men.

John - if you are listening - it is time to retire from the field. Do it now while you still have some sense of honor and control of your senses. There are other men and women who can take up the burden of elected office - it is their turn to serve the people. It is your time to spend meaningful days and hours with those that are truly important - your wife, your family, your friends. The governor of your great state is a member of your own party and will appoint someone - so your party will also not be burdened.

I worry about neither, because I don't plan on dying.

But I was simply converting to consistent ratios.

It is actually complicated by the advanced age of the people in Congress. My bet is that the rate of brain tumors increases as the age of the sample increases

242 Because other people react with a lack of class to McCain's condition, it doesn't mean we have to.
---
I don't think it's a matter of following the herd. McCain made a political carrer of making deals across the aisle (Maverick-y-nees was the basis of his presidential run, after all), and in the process made a lot of enemies among those who care about this country and what it was intended to be.

Progs will of course celebrate his pain and passing because of the (R) and they're insufficiently complex thinkers to see any distinction beyond that.

There is something seriously psychologically wrong with people who want to hang on their position to the bitter end.

Will try to be charitable here to Senator McCain.
I do not know what he is thinking. Can only speculate on any of this.
He is a human after all. He just received this diagnosis, even if he knew last Friday. It's still fresh.
He's been forced to deal with his own mortality.
Saying that he will return to the Senate may be his way of dealing with the cancer. He's going to want to look for any normalcy in his life that he can.
Having watched many people I love deal with cancer, most with their impending deaths, they all wanted their lives back the way they were before the diagnosis.
Unfortunately they couldn't have their wish.
McCain may not be any different.
