Heroic Dog Saves Drowning Fawn (But Then Kind of Won't Leave the Poor Terrified Thing Alone)

The dog seems to want to make sure it's okay, and tries to nose it into playing, but the scared fawn is just trying to play dead and/or recover.

Still, nice doggie!

Even when they think they got it all (which means taking margins around the tumor, and in the brain, well, eeew), oncologists will still use chemotherapy and radiation to slow the multiplication of the individual cancer cells that they inevitably left behind. Because even if they got the main tumor, they never get all of those.

Teddy made it (and plenty of trouble) for fifteen months after his diagnosis and surgery. Funny that he could have made it into this thread on either of the Oldsmobile and glioblastoma connections. An embarrassment of riches. Or a target-rich environment, take your pick.

The fact that he was able to remain in office shows the powerful effect of modern-day incumbency. An effect entirely detrimental to the common good of the country.

290 There's no way McCain can function as a senator. Doesn't the governor of the state appoint someone to fulfill his term until the next election? Don't they do that when a senator dies in office? There must be similar procedures for incapacitation.

292 In fairness, I would be slow to judge the actions of someone who'd undergone five and a half years of captivity and torture, just as I'd be slow to judge his first wife if she'd divorced him.

In each case, I can't imagine the emotional maelstrom into which they were thrown, nor predict how I myself would react, and therefore reserve judgment.

You could be eating it in a state that's not going bankrupt?
Posted by: DoublySymmetric at July 19, 2017 09:49

Well that would be better, but doesn't affect the deliciousness of the meal. Gotta eat the corn as soon as you can after it's picked.

I used to be a farmer. holy heck it's pouring here tonight.

295 Fun Facts:

John McCain will never be president of the United States of America.

John McCain was the first fucking imbecile to lose the presidency of the United States of America to a Marxist traitor named Barack Obama.
