Russia doesn't want the US to frack, because that increases the petroleum supply and hurts the oil-dependent Russian economy. So they fund leftwing groups to agitate against US fracking. No US media would ever admit their buddies, mistresses, and side-pieces are colluding with Russia, though.The sources include a former secretary-general of NATO, who is quoted by the GOP congressmen as saying:The left has been colluding with the Soviet Union for seventy years and now has the balls to start up with this shit?This anti-fracking campaign seizes upon environmental issues and health concerns that could be used to constrain U.S. drilling and fracking exercises, the letter explains.

We are in a leftist state, in a overwhelmingly leftist city and county, one currently embroiled in a huge controversy over fracking.
It is Colorado, which has huge oil and gas reserves, and the state laws do not permit localities to enact laws that ban extraction by any means. But the localities keep trying.
In our community, the leftists are enraged that drilling and fracking can happen within sight of residential communities. If you have visited Colorado, you know that the majority of the population lives along the high plains of the Front Range, with annual rainfall less than 15 inches, and the only trees are along creeks and rivers, or are watered by power.
This means that out in the suburbs, there are no tree lined streets, no tree lines around lots and fields, and anything that is out there can be seen. Like a fracking tower. One that might be three miles away.
So our local anti-frack fight came down to a recall election, one in which the left seeks to remove a council member, a Republican, who they have portrayed as the face of frack. Never mind that their campaign is so full of lies that the local newspapers and even the Denver post have come out against the recall.
So now what they want to get on a special election ballot is that the local government must only pass laws that "fully consider the health and safety" of all residents.
A neighbor came to our door yesterday to try and get my signature on the petition for this. I said that no, I would never agree to such a thing, that it was clearly another anti-energy push, and that the Russians had for years colluded with her and her fellow-travelers to do exactly this.

Now that doesn't just mean cars, atv's and snowmobiles, that meant bicycles, powered saws for clear-cutting, emergency vehicles (think: lost hikers, forest fire), and the best one: helicopters. That was the best because the county is home to a high-altitude helicopter training facility that attracts military people from all over the world. But no, random jerks from the coasts move in a decide they don't want any icky motorized funny-business to spoil their occasional hike.

There were 7 Raiders (6 Marines and a Corpsman) flying to Yuma to conduct training. Probably Joint Tactical Air Controller (JTAC) training. I have seen one name on FB Sgt Robert Cox, one of my buddies had known him since he was a kid. Guessing his dad was also a Marine, not sure if I know the dad.

So, if you're a green type person you might choose a generator who uses a lot of hydroelectric. Different agenda you might choose one who uses a lot of natural gas. Maybe you love coal.

He thinks most likely what happened is one engine exploded, sending parts into the engine next to it, causing the second engine to also cease functioning (and probably also exploding). He said that scenario would explain the reported spiraling in of the aircraft.

The worst that's been ALLEGED are the hacks of the DNC and Podesta, and a Fake News campaign (of which I've never seen details.) Even if true, this wasn't enough to sway the election. Given the consensus that Hillary was going to win anyway, why would the Russians have bothered?

So again, I ask, where did the Russians 'Interfere" with out election, causing it to be hindered or impeded?

Found a copy of "Topaz" by Leon Uris on the bookshelf and out of curiosity began to read it. A tale of espionage and disinformation set in 1962 by the author so "Exodus", among other works, it describes in detail the spy vs spy goings-on among diplomats and intelligence agencies. The parallels between 1962 and now are striking, especially re the useful idiots on the left and their embrace of "radical chic" (as Tom Wolfe so aptly noted) in Cuba and elsewhere. It's only been what, 55 years, since this book came out, illustrating that "Plus ca change, plus ca meme chose" (the more things change...") Highly recommended.

I'm sure I'm willowed again (unfortunately I spend all day reading the entire thread), but in partial defense of PDTJ, in June of 2016(!), was "RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA" a consideration in whether the Trump campaign should take a meeting with a Russian lawyer? The Trump Organization had routine dealings with Russians through the Miss Universe pageant. The email to Trump Jr. was from a media-type who had connections with Miss Universe. Why then would DJTJ suspected a honey-trap in June 2016 (after election, certainly, but after the 2016 nomination?)? I think it's easy to criticize the decision to meet with the Russian attorney in July 2017, but 13 months ago, the connection is not so clear.
