CNN covered the tweet in every hour of its on-air coverage Monday starting at the 11:00 a.m. hour and going through the 7 p.m. hour. “I want to know today, how from this troll on Reddit, this hateful troll who posts anti-Semitic racist trash against CNN and other people and outlets how did it get from this person to the president’s twitter feed?” asked CNN senior media correspondent Brian Stelter during one such segment. “We don’t know the answer to that. There’s a lot of clues online about how this thing started but now how it reached the president’s desk. I hope the White House answers that because this is not the first time we have seen sort of meme from the swamps of the Internet make its way to the president’s Twitter feed."And then you know what happened last night, as CNN threatened to doxx the gif's maker. And today, many have noted, this remained their headline story on their website throughout most of the day. (It's not, now -- but I suspect that's because the story has turned against them, rather badly.) This reminds me of when CNN's Dylan Byers whined that "real reporters" were asking questions about Syria, where as "rightwing reporters" were asking questions about CNN's retracted #FakeNews report about "Russian connections" and Trump associate Tony Scaramucci. Which prompted Sean Davis to inform Dylan Byers that he had last tweeted about Syria 77 days before, thus making him not a "real reporter" at all, and likely a right-wing racist.
Let me note the Social Justice Warrior's primary justification for censorship, intimidation, mob tactics, and physical attacks: they were made to "feel unsafe," so any retaliation-before-the-fact -- let's call it "pretaliation," or even "pretribution" -- is justified. Compare that with CNN's justification for #CNNBlackmail: This ridiculously silly tweet might "inspire violence" against a Protected and Exalted Minority Group -- reporters, in this instance -- and therefore it's perfectly fair to resort to mob tactics to squelch the man making you "feel unsafe." A Swarm of Assholes: Allisyn Camarota, Chris "Chaplinski Rule" Cuomo and Brian Stelter weigh in, and I do mean weigh, especially with regard to Fat Joker.

I have ALWAYS been suspicious of chemotherapy as an anti-cancer treatment. I couldn't understand how it targeted the tumor only and not the rest of the body.
When I looked into it (long ago), I found to my shock that it DOESN'T target just the cancer - -the poison hits the whole body as well. The theory being that the body can recover from the poison, butt he tumor can't.
Well, looks like my suspicions were well-founded: chemotherapy now proven to make cancer WORSE in the long run and to INCREASE the number os fatalities:

Summary: the poison in chemotherapy in the short run visibly shrinks the tumor, but in the long run weakens the body and opens more pathway for the cancer to metasticize, meaning that while the original tumor may not kill you, eventually cancers will spread elsewhere in the body, where they WILL kill you. These stats are never included in the success/not-success ratio of chemotherapy. But it may turn out that chemo has been partly responsible for the massive increase in cancer deaths in the 20th century.
Takeaway: NEVER TRUST THE MEDICAL PROFESSION TO BE OMNISCIENT. They are making shit up by the seat of the pants just like any normal people. And they make mistakes -- HUGE mistakes -- all the time.

I'm a physician. Most cancer treatments target rapidly dividing cells, which is what cancer is, but so are cells in the gut, liver, blood and hair so they are affected, too. Yes, it is true that averaged over all cancer patients, chemotherapy has not increased survival. But some individual cancers are treated remarkably well with chemo, so don't paint with too broad of a brush.

I was very fortunate with my cancer-they were able to freeze the tumor both times, and I didn't need chemo or the biologic treatments. But when you hear the C word (not Clinton), you panic. You go to worst case scenario, and then look for any and everything to make the tumor/malignancy go away.
In Greece, there was a vile snake oil salesman who preyed on desperate cancer sufferers, promising them miracle cures, and merely injecting them with B-12. I had to process getting their remains back to the US. It was heart wrenching. But these were desperate people, hoping to have a little more life, and time, with their loved ones.
But, it's always, ALWAYS good to get a second opinion, and look at all the options before you settle on only one treatment.

Very true. Chemotherapy is a cure as awful in some ways as the disease it is trying to cure but when it works, it is wonderful. Especially pediatric leukemia - my 9 year old niece just completed almost a year of chemo for leukemia, lost all her hair, missed an entire year of school and just being a kid, but she is in remission now. And for that we are so thankful.

Her hospital and oncologist had a Cyber-Knife machine that could pinpoint with laser precision the proper removal of the tumors. That plus Tarceva (chemo in a pill.) gave her 5 years with a pretty good quality of life, all things considered.
Chemo and radiation worked best for her, but each situation will be different. YMMV.

I had Stage 2B testicular cancer. Untreated it spreads through the lymph nodes and then into the lungs. 100% chance of death in ten years untreated. 95% relative survivor rate (meaning it's adjusted for people who die for non-cancer reasons) over five years with treatment.

Not that it matters because in most cases they've precious little credibility left so their "news" coverage won't be taken at face value anyways. But I digress.
My point is that CNN is doing a fine job discrediting themselves and there must be a way to get the other cables to follow suit and go bezerkers against Trump too. Shouldn't be hard. Perhaps the president doesn't want to go all-in against fox and msnbc simultaneously, but it would be fun.
I haven't paid much attention, but in a competitive market, the other cables would be trying to crush CNN to grab market share. Have they? That says a lot.

7) For a specific example, chemotherapy is remarkably effective in treating testicular cancer (example - Lance Armstrong, who had metastases to his brain and recovered enough to be at the top of his sport (with a little help from other pharmaceuticals - allegedly)).

As a Texan, I actually thought it was a pretty good article, and yeah, that was a pretty accurate blow by blow account of the just concluded legislative session. One of the big not so often talked about political problems in Texas is that the Governor is pretty conservative, and now the Senate is too, but the Texas House is still run by the GOP-e, which is dedicated to watering down or flat out killing most anything the Governor and the Senate want to do.
And you gotta account for the fact that it was written by a typical old school Austin Liberal who palled around with Ann Richards - these are the people we have been fighting our whole lives, and who we have been beating solidly for 30 years now, and they are all real butt hurt about it. But we're real used to them.
And there was some stuff in there about a guy named Morrow, who is a testament as to how easy it used to be to get a job in the GOP here. Yeah, he is a type that pops here in Texas with regularity. He got kicked out of office when it finally came out that he was a total nutcase. And yes, in his recent filing to run again for Texas GOP Chairman, he really did write: "I like Big Titties. I am a proponent of Boobyliciousness."

The Texas Democrats biggest mistake (and you can tell Wright still doesn't realize it was a mistake) was to consciously turn themselves into the Black and Hispanic party, because they believed Demographics guaranteed them a long term win if they can do it. They can't figure out why it isn't working, not to this day, and they also don't realize that they've gone so far down that road that now they can't turn back. (To be fair, they are the Black and Hispanic and Liberal University Professor Party)

The way to figure out the relations is to go to the first shared ancestor, term the relation by the direct connection of that person and the closest of the two in question, and then count each generation the other is below as "removed". So, first cousins share a grandparent. Second cousins share a great grandparent, ... SIblings, of course, share a parent.
The child of my first cousin is my first cousin, once removed since we share my grandparent and he is once removed down to that person being his great-grandparent.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. Cousins are removed if the common ancestor shares a different relation to one than the other (as stated above, grandparent of one, great-grandparent of the other, etc.). It's not a matter of more often or anything.
"Removal" just means the descendants of a relation who shares an ancestor with me in the same manner (i.e. shared great-grandfather to both of us). So, the kids of my first cousins are my first cousins, once removed. And their kids are my first cousins, twice removed. But my kids and my first cousins kids are second cousins (shared great-grandfather).

Someone getting care that is not approved, should it work/benefit the patient could be used to say that they *should* approve and/or cover it. That, and like government types tend to think they own you earnings, have ultimate say over your property also tend to then think they have ultimate say over your body.

I think of it this way:
"(First) Cousins" are defined as sharing grandparents.
"Second Cousins" are defined as sharing great-grandparents.
Offspring of your cousin (or second cousin, etc.) are 'removed', one for every generation down (i.e. child of cousin = once removed, grandchild - twice removed, etc.)
It hurts to think about it at first, but it gets easier!

I'll bet there's more public sympathy for this baby in the US than in the UK. Hell, probably more in France than in the UK.

I get your point, but that is not a generaly used term in genealogy. The term great-uncle define the generational distance. Dad's brother is an uncle, granddad's is a great uncle, etc.
My Dad's first cousin is my first cousin, once removed. As is my first cousin's child. It denotes the degree of connection to a common ancestor.

I agree. But the original reason I wrote that was only to say that you would never use "removed" with any sort of uncle-type classification. It would either be a greater sort of uncle or a removed sort of cousin.
