Audio of Old Documentary on Mentally Ill Children Repurposed as Narration of Video of Social Justice WarriorsLet me spare you the trouble of answering: Yes, this is something. As this isn't much of a post, let me link an article I've had open for a while: Monster Babies should be neither seen nor heard and certainly not obeyed.Let's Stop Treating the Young As If They're Political Sages by Clare Foges We should be challenging the naive, unaffordable views of many under-25s, not kowtowing to them "Respect your youngers," tweeted the pop star Lily Allen after the shock election result driven by a high youth turnout. But have we come to respect the youngers and their opinions too much? Recent years have involved increasing youth worship in politics. Come election time, TV producers fall over themselves to put together panels of young people to offer up vacuities about “choosing hope over fear” and other quotes they may have spotted on Instagram. Grey-beard presenters nod deferentially at every complaint offered up by youthful contributors, however inane or ill-informed (the passion of youth requires no substantiation). Millennial mouthpieces on social media rouse the tribe with talk of reclaiming their future and how dreadfully they have been let down by older generations.Well, that's all they'll let me see without paying, but you get the gist. This video (also embedded below) should be ample proof that we're respecting the young far too much. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

The youth of today are spoiled rotten. But I am sure every generation of adults since time began say the same thing. Only now they are doing things of a violent nature. What we used to call juvenile delinquents who sooner or later would be shipped off to reform school. Which the progressives have managed to eliminate so the youth just get worse.
And I won't even talk about the welfare babies born out of wedlock and turned out in the street, their purpose being to increase the amount of welfare obtained. They are not even civilized and remain savages until they are struck down either by the police or some rival gang savages that they run across. So a salesman is driving a country road and sees a sign that says "Free Talking Dog." Guy pulls over and a framer and this dog are there. He asks if the dog can really talk? The dog says "Of course i can. I was also in combat and got a Silver Star. After I got out I ran a medium sized design and development lab. Then I went on to produce some great movies." The guy asks the farmer why he's giving a dog that TALKS away. Farmer says "He's a liar. He didn't do any of that shit."

Even though everything is worse (e.g. health care declines, while costs skyrocket) ... keep buying into our bull shit promises of "five year plans" and "communism is great, just surrender all your rights, then we will take care of you, after the world falls apart". It's probably time for sedative-coated pacifiers (no, not pot) for the crops of pinheads reaching social consciousness now. Their classical indoctrination and subsequent public insertion is too much of a shock to stable, sane cultures.

The problem is what they know is so meaningless and trivial. They know things of no import or worth, while previous generations learned common sense and basic life skills. How to cope with trouble and disappointment, how to change a tire, how to keep a job. Things that get you through life. All these guys know is just enough about every subject to get themselves argued into a corner and start to throw a fit. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at June 21, 2017 06:41 PM (39g3+) 32

Families find it too painful to admit that their kid is an idiot, obnoxious, ugly and has severe behavioral problems. It is seen as a failing. So they cater to the ugly stupid things and pronounce them social, political or academic geniuses. It has been the "normalizing" of what used to be just another dud in the family.

I think things are tangibly worse. "We" have been removing consequences for bad behavior. The country has been enabling and rewarding infantilism for at least a few generations post WWII. Posted by: BourbonChicken It probably also has to do with their parents and schools pandering to them to the point where they can't handle disappointment. One day he had a meltdown in class and I'm pretty sure the whole school heard it (we had those retarded open air rooms that some 60s retard likely came up with) so sound traveled. No one said anything but you could tell everyone was cringing inside. He was in there screaming, throwing shit around, cursing at the teacher with the f bombs even. It was horrible. Posted by: rickb223 Right. And maybe add some of the intent of the founders, who said something about property owners voting, people that had "skin in the game". Welfare as we know it now was not even a concept back then. That a communist infiltration force could bring in aliens to vote for free stuff, and overwhelm the majority population, and thereby ensure their destruction ... was NOT a part of the vision of a Republic. That an incompetent welfare state 30% (47%?) population could have a vote to undermine the productive force of a nation ... is insanity. It was the intent to have the producers vote ... the makers, not the takers (including the 300:1 leveraged, too big to fail too big to jail), not the commies using force to make the producer the slave of the "powerful forces" ... the producers rule, not those that buy guns to force them into submission and servitude. Look these are young people who had everything go right, were protected from every problem, had parents that let them "make choices" for everything they wanted, and were given whatever they desired. They faced no challenges, no disappointments, no failures, ho hardship.
When they got to college, they had to face them, and found out life wasn't all they wanted all the time. They have zero skills or wisdom, no learning or experience on how to deal with this. So they throw screaming fits and attack people. They turn into enraged chimpanzees. They throw a tantrum. The world will not submit and make things the way they always used to be. Yeah, Obama and certain drugs--Ritalin?--helped form this generation of weirdos. But I blame social media too because it allows one to live in a bubble of his or her own blowing.
In your own bubble, you never have to hear or see or read anything you don't want to. You are the King or Queen and no one tells you what to do. Outside the bubble, the real world exists, the world of clocks, traffic signs, rules and regulations. Some can't handle it and are triggered by the slightest challenge to their bubble. It's really sad and i feel for this and all future generations.... Posted by: JoeF. at June 21, 2017 07:01 PM (7uYFy) 116

81 Right. And maybe add some of the intent of the
founders, who said something about property owners voting, people that had "skin in the game". These are simple concepts, but the world is busy explaining why servitude to the commie mob bosses will be grande. FU (dem commie basturds) ... WAR. Posted by: illiniwek at June 21, 2017 06:53 PM (Uh5GM) IIRC my old SC History book (college text that someone borrowed and never returned) you had to own at least 200 acres of property or a business in town worth so much money to vote. The reason being that you had to pay property taxes on that property and had skin in the game. You could not vote yourselves free shit from the public treasury. But that went away even before the colony became a State after the revolutionary war. It's for strangers, people of roughly equal social standing, and people of slightly higher standing. As an example, if you were trying to flag down a middle age-ish woman to get directions and you're younger/around the same age, you'd call her "Oba-san" - basically "auntie." I think it contributes. A civilization has to have a binding, objective code of behavior and shared ethical structure to survive, and that's all been torn down by the left. They ripped the bones out of our civilization and gave us nothing to replace it with. They're trying to, with political correctness, environmentalism, and social justice, but the problem is it keeps changing. Every year or two, the rules all shift, and that means there's no structure to build a culture around, no civilization, no understood, shared cultural values. Progressivism cannot stop, it has to keep "progressing" infinitely in order to have any power. Once it achieves all its goals, it then has no purpose to exist and loses all its power and meaning. thx Vic ... it did, but I think the intent of the founders was clear, as was the problem of denying a vote for some that had no property. They wanted "informed" voters, not "vote for self serving but community destructive" voters. I can say owning land comes with a large set of responsibility, as they must have clearly known. this is one link ... but regardless of what they understood as they emerged from King/Pope rule ... the concept of responsible producers versus "give me more free shit" is abundantly clear. federalistpapers.org link http://tinyurl.com/y8wzry54 Posted by: illiniwek at June 21, 2017 07:15 PM (Uh5GM) 178

True. I had a roommate for one semester who went off the deep end with hard core hippies. At one point she had gone somewhere where there were some SDS members from U of M. The more radical people she hung out with were cynical in their radical views. They knew exactly what they were saying and doing. But they not emotionally out of control. These kids in the news today are infantile. Infants can't be reasoned with. Posted by: nerdygirl at June 21, 2017 07:09 PM (+lVUW) Yes. I'm just old enough to remember that time and you'd always hear stories of local kids running away to join communes or "Hare Krishna" or the "Moonies' or whatever. Hell, even leaving the parents house at 17 or 18 without going off to college, joining the military or getting married was a big deal back then. But like you say, they weren't emotionally out of control. Most were also very resourceful and ended up okay. Posted by: JoeF. at June 21, 2017 07:17 PM (7uYFy) 185

Junior year in H.S. in '67 I had a biology class taught by a teacher that had too many hits of LSD over the summer.
First day of class he handed out the words to Hey Jude and said everybody gets an A. At first I thought that was kinda groovy, but my cooler head prevailed and I transferred to another class. Later that year that teacher got busted for buying pot from a kid in school and he was fired. Posted by: I'm Tucker Carlson and I will destroy you at June 21, 2017 07:19 PM (KJJBz) 192

I've said this before, however- the Internet is an insanity generator...in this sense. Before the Internet, if someone had crazy ideas or an odd fixation, the people around him or her would say "Hey, stop that. You're talking/acting crazy." and social pressure might pull them back from the abyss. But now, no matter how crazy, how creepy, how flat out kookoobananas insane your thoughts are- you can find 10,000 people worldwide who have the same thoughts and who's support and validation of your nuttiness push you further and further into the pit. This is what we're seeing. Plus, as said above a complete lack of discipline by their parents. Rage filled screaming retards does not a good society make. OK, I watched the whole joke video.
A for conception -- B-minus for execution. It could have been great. A classic for the ages. But instead a selection of rather uninspired, obscure videos of SJW protesters were chosen for the video portion -- there are zillions of better, more appropriate, more hilarious ones out there that could have been chosen. Also, using the same clips over and over seems like you have a paucity of material, so it undermines the joke. With the exact same audio but better production values, it could have been a classic video for the ages. Instead, it is a passing chuckle, I'm afraid. The only thing I remember actually learning was the day he gave a lecture on how to properly slit your wrists - you don't do it across the wrist like they show, you lay in warm water like a Roman Senator and cut your arm longways, so it won't clot.
Thank you, public high school. Oh, and he would have everyone write an essay for the final exam. Topic was always "what do you want to do in 10 years?" Kathy Griffen comes to mind here. There she was, ensconced in the Hollyweirdo Progressive Sandbox, thinking the rules were, "You can do literally anything to Trump and it will be OK." ALL the rhetoric was nasty, pointed, and extreme, so, naturally, she was going to coast on the kudos and try to make a living on one set of rules. Oops. The rules changed on her (or at least her current understanding of them) and she instantly became toxic. Now, I agree with her that her bubble should've embraced her because, let's face it, the trendline was in her favor. I certainly thought her fellow travelers should've been throwing awards at her for her "edginess", but the rule changed and she was destroyed. Well, being in a cult has repercussions. Posted by: The Great White Scotsman at June 21, 2017 07:39 PM (0pcwX) And don't agonize over it. Just make the fucking decision, do your best to implement it, and then move on. Don't beat yourself up over the ones that didn't work out. The criterion isn't whether a decision worked out: it is whether, in the same situation, with the same information, you'd do the same thing again. You can't beat yourself up over factors at work of which you were unaware at the time. For my students I used to distinguish between incorrect decisions and bad decisions. You step outside and get hit by lightning. Incorrect decision. Reasonable at the time, but it didn't work out. You go up on your roof to adjust the antenna during a thunderstorm. Bad decision. Stupid at the time, but it may work out, by God's grace. Posted by: Deplorable Jay Guevara at June 21, 2017 08:02 PM (SRKgf) 304

In short they believe good and healthy must always be on no excuse offense. That's very different from my generation who were shamed into silence and blind tolerance.
